[Q] Control Which Hibernated Apps Will Get Push Notifications - Greenify

Hi,
I bought the Donation Package only for allowing WhatsApp to get push notifications while hibernated.
I don't want all other hibernated apps like Facebook Messenger to get push notifications.
Can I control which apps will get push notifications while hibernated?
Thanks!

I don't know, but couldn't you go into the settings of Facebook messenger and turn off notifications ?

I could, but it's only for maximum of 24 hours. I'm looking for something permanent.

As a workaround, you can completely disable the app's notification. Do this by going into Settings > Apps > App of your choice, then untick show notifications!

How do you turn off / disable Gmail notifications?
It seems like the updated Gmail app has very few settings now and turning off notifications isn't one of them?
Look at the bottom.

Appreciate my help? Thank me
On mine, once in Gmail, menu, more, settings, scroll down near bottom and uncheck email notifications.
Diaz beat me to it by a minute.
What version of Gmail do you guys have? I remember my old Gmail used to be that way that Diaz shows, but in 2.3.5, it's different?
On mine, once in Gmail, menu, more, settings, General Preferences, and then...nothing?
Also, what screen shot app are you using? I used to use this one on my 4G but now it no longer works on the 3D:

Okay, DUH!
I figured it out.
Once you get to Settings, you have 2 options:
Settings
Account Settings
You have to click on your email address (under Account Settings) and then you can modify everything like normal.
Duh! LOL

Use the App called Greenify to hibernate the App when you are not using it. This should do the trick but you need to be rooted to do this.
thanks, i will try that (i'm rooted)
edit : if i hibernate facebook i won't receive the notification right?

That`s right, so just set up your settings in facebook that everytime you get a facebook notification, you get an email.
no it's ok i still get the notification via messenger, but it's weird cause i don't see the messenger app in greenify
both messenger and the original app.. Were always battery suckers..
So better to just uninstall it.

Okay so this is kinda irritating for me. I don't use the default messaging app anymore and I don't want that notif bubble in my lockscreen. I don't want to use a locker or a lockscreen replacement anymore. Is there any way to remove the notif bubble notification there so I could use the default lock screen? Tried uninstalling and such and unchecking the notifications. My phone is rooted running Android 4.2.2 help!

Go to settings, application manager, look for the messaging app and click on it. This should bring you to a screen with an option to uncheck Notifications, do that and you are set.

are you sure you unchecked the box to prevent notifications?
Also this was for the stock messaging app, correct?

Same for me... I'm using an s9. I've been woken up several times because of it. I use both DND and turn sounds to silent now. It's my first Android phone after having many years of iPhones and I'm starting to regret the switch. Such a simple thing to not have QAd before release..
Seems to be working fine for me. The only notifications sounds I get with DND set to custom are alarms.
Looking at your screenshot, it looks like you've told DND to allow notifications from apps. Try turning off the "Allow reminders" option and see what happens.
I have no exceptions, including turning off alarms, and calls still very through intermittently

Question Is it possible to disable this notification with root?

Obviously it's extremely obnoxious to have this after every call, but th ability to disable it is grayed out. I'm rooted, so maybe there are options to disable it?
Never had this, but as with any notification, I believe it can be disabled by long tapping on the notification and changing the settings.

That's grayed out which is why I'm asking. It's a known issue across the internet, but I haven't seen anyone asking about root solutions.

com.google.android.feedback (Market Feedback Agent) is a Google app that allows other apps to call it and ask you to provide market feedback. Most likely this is what you meant, as there is no Google Feedback app on the P6. You cannot delete it since the system partition is read-only and cannot be made writeable. You probably cannot can disable it in Settings > Apps but will need or use an app like Titanium Backup or SDMaid (Pro I think) to freeze it.
I will freeze mine and run a test, editing this post after to post the result.
EDIT: Freezing the Market Feedback Agent makes no difference. Something tells me that this behavior, along with the inability to modify notifications in the phone app, is baked into the app itself.
