[Q] WiFi internal network transfer speed - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys I would like to know why when using my phone to download through wifi in internet the speed is always perfect (max speed of my connection 5MB\Sec) but when instead I use wifi to transfer files in my LAN to PC I can't reach speed above 300kb \sec...someone knows why? Thanks

[Q] changing wifi speed?

hi, noob here.... I checked the forum and didnt see an answer so thougt i would post. I have a wifi connection capable of much faster speeds than my tab is connecting. Can anyone tell me how to change the wifi speed setting? Thanks
Good question, I don't see a setting anywhere for that option.
you mean the same as changing MTU for network cards on a PC? what does your LAN speed test show? For my SGS1, the wifi speeds and the time it takes to connect to a network differs from which modem I use.
I think OP means wi-fi link speed, e.g. 11mbps, 54, 150 or 300mbps. My 11n router doesn't show what speed my tab is connected as and it appears there is no information on tab either. But whatever link speed it is, it will be much faster than my internet connection speed anyway. So it really doesn't matter for me personally. If you use Wi-Fi Kies or other app to download video files from your LAN, it may make some small difference. I'm sure the default is a balance between speed and battery consumption.

optimise for wifi speed

Hello I am not a developer but want to ask all you that what is the maximum speed of WiFi that All you are getting my connection of Cable net is of 5mbs but my a311 is getting only about 2.5mbs I have also transfer files on WiFi, same speed then changed and tweaks my router for different channel and all other stuff and then my other phone did get better speed on files transfer but not a311 my question is that can we tweaks and optimise our a311 WiFi for different channel or for better speed when it is theatering or transfering files or is this because of read/write speed of internal storage

[Q] Load Balancing on CyanogenMod 13

Hi guys,
When I was connecting my phone to my WiFi network and to the internet at the same time I recognized my phone connects both instead of WiFi only and uses my mobile connection as a backup in the case WiFi fails.
But I want both connections to be used at the same time to speed up things like big downloads. Is there a way to do some load balancing that works like the one on most enterprise routers?

Slow WiFi transfer

I'm trying to send some files via FTP to a network harddrive and the speed is maxing out around 2.5MB/s.
I have a Pixel 4 exact same setup and that maxes out around 30MB/s.
Any ideas why it's so slow?
Apologies, it's fine after a reboot.
