Hi guys i have recently bought a SM N9009 from china. Am located in Singapore. I cant seem to open any of the google play stores i have downloaded off the web. another problem im facing is that there is any option in the phone that allows me to sync my google accounts to it. i have rooted it without any knowledge of how it would help solve my problem. Im extremely new to andriod and i pretty much depend on the phone for work. Please anyone out here that can help me with it? im really desperately in need of help!!:crying::crying:

china phones did not provide google services
but if you want to use google services in that then you need to flash gapps package using custom recovery like cwm

i just purchased lenovo ideapad a1 from lenovo outlet here in china, now the problem is it is not having market place, i tried downloading the apk off the net and placed it in sd card and install from their, the app installed but it goes to home when it says a gmail account signin needed.
ps: my lenovo info:

android version: 2.3.4
product name: lepad_a1_07
kernel version: 2.6.35.7
keeping in mind i am a newbie so help with some beginers info links will be greatly appreciated. also mention which process will void its warranty ?

I think I have the same lenovo, also bought in China. I just updated it to a version with the google apps like gmail and market
mine buildnumber started with A107W0_A234_001 and I found the update on a lenovo download site. Because I'm a new user I cannot post the link.
but google for A107W0_A234_001_999_2210_ROW.zip
Download the zip, put it on your sdcard and rename to update.zip
Power off the tab and then hold volume down and power button together and wait till the recovery mode starts.

i can help you in getting the rom which is open for google services on your a1, but i dnt know if the device is still rooted yet, if you know the way from some source of rooting lenovo a1 then do let me know as well.
As far as I know rooting isn't possible jet. There is no simple way of rooting android 2.3.4 only with replacing the firmware.
But as I posted before there is an update available with the google apps and market. It is also possible to put the tablet in english so no chinise GUI.

Try to use hidemyass.com and get your gmail apps. Sign it in. Then use online market with proxy to install the apps you need.
If it is not working, I don't know what to do anymore.

yes, i also tried searching alot but got no way to root the device yet.
my lenovo is under warranty, so by changing firmware will it void my warranty? if yes then here is my other question .. " how can i backup my existing roms".

i have successfully rooted the a1 as well, can you please direct me what can i do now ? like any tweaks i can do to this device? also another question what can i do to install every app to MY EXTERNAL SD CARD (which currently is a class 5 2gb card).

i have the 2gb version which was i think the last one piece on the outlet as they are pulling off this model (2gb) from sale, so let me ask you are you tight in budget? if yes then yes go for 2gb and get class 5 atleast card (as i have bought a card on which class 4 is mentioned and it came out to be a class 1 so my 70 rmbs are pretty much wasted, so you have to decide if you have money then get off this hassle and buy a 16 gigz else 2gb work great as well

I'm a newbie in here, so last week I got the new Samsung Galaxy J7 prime and I go on ahead and check if xda has already a development on it cause I want it to be rooted to unlock the posibilities but sadly there isn't so I just google and there was this twrp recovery that the site said would do the the flash for root. I flashed it on my j7 prime with odin and when I go to recovery mode it said "recovery is not seandroid enforcing" so i downloaded the other link because it has two links then i flashed the other one. But after that it said the same thing so i just turned off my phone but after that it won't start it's just stuck on the samsung logo with the "not seandroid enforcing" above it. I basically know what to do I should download the firmware but I'm from the philippines so downloading a firmware that is 1.7gb and when it is at 1.5gb the download stops and fails because of the internet here. So hows you phone now??? I was actually rooting my Note 2 but stupidly, I rooted my J7 prime instead. Now I can't use it anymore. Can you tell me how you fixed your?? TIA :crying:
If you want to repair your J7 you can use Smartswitch. A few days ago I tried to flash my J7 Prime and also the **** (haha) So I went into "download mode" (Power + home + volume down) And I connected it to the PC and gave it "Emergency recovery" took about 40 minutes But everything went well. Just in case you ask for the model of your device and your S / N. (S / N is written on the back of your smatphone). I ask you to try to google search, because my English is crap and maybe you do not understand me.
Actually downloaded a firmware from samfirm.. unfortunately the only available firmware is for a SM-G610F.. And when I was able to run my phone again I noticed that its internal memory was now only 16GB.. :crying: I was wondering how can I have the 32GB back.. any advise??

We should really wait for the stable program because I think there is still no clean root for now. I hope the root development for this phone gets more attention.

We all know that feeling when we suddenly realize our very expensive flagship phone has become a dinosaur. Maybe I'm sentimental or maybe I'm cheap, in either case, I need to bring my trusted S5 active out of the dark ages.
Here's the thing: I switched to Cricket wireless even though as you all already know my device is from there parent company At&t, they won't push the firmware updates to my phone... I'm clueless as to why (they own both companies), so it is still running Android 4.4.4. This hasn't been a problem for me until today. I went to try to live stream Clash Royale to YouTube's live gaming platform and I was abruptly met with a meteorite slamming down from outer-space onto my poor ancient tech.
To make a long story short, At&t offers the latest update for the phone but I don't have access to it. So if someone can please share some modern firmware with me I'd be exceedingly grateful. I have already checked all the usual sites with no luck. It seems the only firmware available in the entire expanse of the world wide web is android 4.4.2.
Grrr!!!! I've been searching all day to no avail. It is so frustrating.

I would like to change the language from English US to Portuguese BR. I tried to use morelocale2 but it requires a Root acess.
Read a lot of stuff and tried Kingoroot, towelroot, oneclickroot etc... No success so far....
Could anyone please help this novice?

Well... I am the developer of the rom and I can assure you it's there. If you're using the stock launcher, it's at the row with the letter R

Just try a clean flash, there is no reason it wouldn't work

Heyyo, yeah LOS 14.1 doesn't come with the remote APK. There's plenty of other ROMs that do though. Pretty much anything made by andr68rus, SlimRoms and BlackX as KuranKaname mentioned.
I FOUND THE ANSWER
You can find the apk in Google. But it won't work because your SeLinux mode is not in permissive.
-Make sure your phone is rooted
-Install BusyBox
-Install SeLinux mode Toggler
-Toggle the mode to permissive

Please show respect by not hijacking threads with unrelated questions. Start a new thread for your enquiry.
You need to adb push the rom zip to the phone and flash it in TWRP.
Hey ppl! Ever since the September security patch ota update, I'm unable to access the phone info menu via dialer. Has anyone else been facing the same issue? Please help me fix it, this is the only way I can force 4g only to get uninterrupted connectivity.

Yeah! ColourOS sucks in real. Now, it had made everthing miserable over this device. I will too unlock my bootloader and have a good custom ROM. But the development for this phone is not upto mark
I am also not able to use this code after new a.19 update. Now i am using MTK engineer aap available in playstore. Only phone info access able through this app. Which is enough for me.

MTK engineer app workfine try it now bro i am using it daily.
