[Q] How To Enable Miracast/wifi display - LG G2 Mini

Is G2 Mini support Miracast??
I search below setting-display , there is no option show for miracast
Any idea? Because wifi-direct is supported maybe LG disabled miracast feature.
My question : is there possible to enabling miracast ?? For Rooted G2 Mini?
Regards.

Hi, i didn't have any Mirycast device but i think that "Beam" Option might help.
Choose a pic in Gallery, there is an Icon above that Pic is a small MobilePhone with Arrow, choose it and then it will search your Network for devices to cast
(sorry for my bad english)

AFAIK the beam option only cast the media , like video, picture, youtube.
Miracast is screen mirroring technology. This feature is built in android 4.2 and above, is like HDMI out but over wifi technology. But many device disabled it by vendor.

I'm not sure if the stock rom support it but if you're using the official CM 13 Nightly you can enable it by editing the build.prop and adding this script on the last line:
persist.debug.wfd.enable=1
After that reboot your phone and go to Settings > Display & Lights > Cast > Enable Wireless Display

DLNA - dummies guide?

I've just bought a Samsung TV (UE55ES7000) and want to be able to play content from my phone on the TV (mainly photos and videos). I've tried using AllShare but couldn't work it out. I also tried Wifi Direct, but I guess that's for file transfer rather than streaming/playback?
Is there anyone who can provide simple instructions for:
(a) playing a video on the TV which is stored on my phone
(b) displaying a photo on the TV which is stored on my phone.
I have the UN60D8000 TV. When the TV and phone are both connected to the same wifi network, open the galery app on the phone (stock samsung one). Open a photo and it will show you on top a little button to select where to play to. my TV automagically shows up inthere and when i push the button on the phone it gives a prompt on the TV.
I can't believe I spent an hour trying to work out how to do it, and it was that simple - thanks!
If you don't see your device on you DLNA enabled tv it might be because it's not enabled in your settings. Goto Settings/Wireless and networks/more settings/Nearby devices and enable in there.

I've just noticed that the option to display photos on a remote device is not available at the moment, so I went into the Nearby Devices screen but all of the options on the screen are disabled/greyed-out - even the File Sharing toggle switch at the top. Is there another setting that needs to be set?
There's no problem with my wifi network connectivity,
???
I finally got connected again but have hit another problem. If I start playing a video from the phone on the TV I have no means of controlling or stopping the video playback once it has started. If I tap the phone's screen a lock symbol appears in the top right corner of the phone display. The home button and 2 soft keys are also inactive. The only thing I can do is use the power button to restart the phone.
???
for me is all greyed out in that section how to activate or turn this on ??

HDMI Out and YouTube

When I connect my Galaxy Nexus to my TV over HDMI, I can play YouTube videos but *only* the video shows on my TV.
I paired my phone with a Bluetooth mouse, but if I move the mouse or click (or tap the phone with my finger), the pause button and seek bar ONLY show on the phone, NOT the TV.
Is there any way to fix this?
I would like to use the Bluetooth mouse as a remote, but obviously with no on-screen controls appearing, this is difficult.
Anyone?
Try to use tv remote. A lot of stuff can be controlled on my android phone via tv remote when connected via hdmi.

Wow, I never thought to try that.
I'll test it out tonight, though I'm setting my expectations very low...
Nope. Didn't work. Tried every button on the remote.

Darn.
I'm trying to use my phone as a set top box for YouTube etc, but the mouse not showing the on-screen controls on my TV make it impossible.
Well it turned out I was wrong. Nothing works via tv remote control. Tried with YouTube and xbmc. It was my sister's Xperia S. On Xperia everything works via hdmi except text input. No 3rd party app available afaik...
Sorry for inconvenience.

No problem. I just wish there was a way
A phone with a Bluetooth mouse would be the ultimate set-top box:
- Free (since I already have a phone)
- And easily portable
Did you try this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yPvF32Dt0Q
You can change the dpi for 160 putting it in tablet mode and every thing is going to be better on a bigger screen... or just install paranoid and change just the yt app for tablet mode

I'm not sure if either of you actually understood what this post is about?
thank you all for your help
What Rom are you running? Pa? If yes then put the yt app in tablet mode.
If you are not running any kind of pa the are you rooted? If yes, make a nand backup and change the dpi to 160 and reboot, connect to the tv and voila... The yt will be in tge tablet mode where you have all The options on screen. Are u gonna use The nexus as a tv box only:

I am using a stock rooted Galaxy Nexus 4.2.
No, this is my daily phone, not just TV box only.
What is paranoid and how does it change the dpi of just the YouTube app?
Pa is a custom Rom that allows you to go under settings and customize the dpi and UI/ layout of each app... so you can have a app like the camera in the phone UI so that you have the buttons very big and you have also the Gmail app that is in tablet mode so that yo can see it in the double panel layout....

[Q] Miracast with Xperia Z ultra?

From all I can find online, it seems miracast is supported by the xperia z ultra. However, I can't seem to find the same "screen mirroring" option under display as I can find on my xperia z. Is there an option somewhere else?

It's under Xperia-connectivity, screen reproduction.
However, I can't get it to work. My tv LG 55lm765S supports miracast they can find each other and connect, and the nothing happens. LG calls it screen mirroring.

In the Google Play Edition, it's under Settings > Display > Cast screen > Enable Wireless Display.
But I haven't tried it; I don't yet have a Miracast device at my TV.

Hello everyone, i just buy this exelent device and im very proud to use it and i love it anyway! Screen Mirroring help with Samsung S3 - i9300

Hi,
I have the following specs :-
Phone 1 : Samsung S3 - i9300
Custom ROM : Omnirom (4.4.4-20140919-i9300-NIGHTLY)
Phone 2 : MOTO-E
ROM : One that came with it. I havent touched it.
Smart TV : Samsung Smart TV 32H5500
I need to know if there is any chance that i can use Screen Mirroring without an external dongal / device, because i havent been able to make it work.
There is a cast screen option that i found in "Settings > Display > Cast Screen" . Online tutorials say that there should be a menu button, on the top right, with a sub-menu option 'Enable Wireless Display'. I couldn't find that too.
Somebody please help.
Thanks,
Aditya Arora
You need a Samsung device (TV, blue ray player etc.) With screen cast capabilities for it to work.

The samsung model I mentioned is a smart TV, with inbuilt Wifi , Wifi-Direct capabilities. If anybody can help me mirror my custom rom screen on the TV, without the need to buy a new device (Chromecast or any Miracast device), using either of the above mentioned capabilities, i would be really (to the heaven's extent!!) grateful.

Change to a stock Rom or a stock ported Rom for Screen Mirroring to work.
