[Q] Battery question - LG G Watch

Where do I go to see how long my watch has been off the charger? Is there a spot like on the phone?
Thanks!

Nope. But it's a watch. Look at it when you take it off the charger xD

If my tablet is shut down and I want to charge I can't do it. Whenever I plug in the charger it boots up why can't I just charge and keep off?

BEcause the Prime wants you to continue using it...lol
Do it like this n should work. Plug the charger into the prime while its on. Then you power down the device like that should stay off.
Plug in the power first and then turn it off.

I would sign that, it should simply charge and not wake up, this is a bug in my eyes.

its weird because it happens to my samsung infuse too
could the outlet be pushing so many volts or something it just turns on i highly doubt this but who knows maybe its the outlet or something
uploading video of the issue now for all to see!
does anyone else have this issue?
Am I the only one who believes this is by design?
Nope I'm with you
may be by design i just thought it was weird because it happened to my samsung infuse too
same thing happens on my DX running Miui. I think its the firmware. For example, some of you let ur Atp charge 8 hours before booting up, mine didn't even let me have that option, it just turned on

Really? What would possibly be the logic?
I can shut off & charge my phone, camera, laptops, GPS watch, BT speakers, BT earpiece, 2 way radios, etc & not have them power on if they are off when I plug them in.
So... whats the logic here on the only device I have ever seen or used that does this?
I say its a bug and if not a poor design.

i like to keep mine off while i sleep so when i turn it on in the morning its like a fresh start
I remember my Nokia N900 would always turn on when I tried to charge it while it was off.
Og transformer does this too. Idk why it matters either way. I like to keep my device on anyways.

"Answering" my question with a question is not an answer.
So again, if a product is off & you decide to charge it for whatever reason you decide - and that reason is irrelevant really - what is the "logic" behind having it power on? What purpose does that serve. Just because you want to charge it does not mean you want it on any more than turning it on means you want it to auto play music. Doing 1 does not logically imply you want the other so what is their logic in deciding for you it will power up?

Can't I be curious? I did it again, oops.
Maybe the Prime cannot differentiate between being plugged in to a computer to be accessed or being plugged into a wall outlet for charging. So the compromise is that it always turns on.

That to me is.... a bug
As said before, it was also the case on the transformer TF101 and apparently on other devices as well... No idea what the logic behind it is (and I'm one of the guys turning his devices off when sleeping so it's a minor annoyance for me too, extremely minor though).

Wireless Charging

I just picked up a wireless charging pad from my VZW store.
I love it!
I can now just set my phone on the nightstand next to the bed and not have to worry about plugging it in.
Thank you HTC for finally making this built in, and not an option!
D
.
I really like this idea. I've currently got a dock for my Rezound, and while it is more convenient than a loose cable most of the time, its still fan be a bit of a pain sometimes.

Did you get the LG one? If so, supposedly the thing beeps super loudly every time the charger turns on according to the Amazon.com reviews.
You are supposed to be able to take it apart and remove the speaker from the board.
I just ordered 2 for $35 ea from there... hoping for the best.

Great. I'm curious if the beep happens every time the charger kicks on (I believe it shuts off automatically when the phone is fully charged) or if it's just one "beep" when the phone is set down on it.
Either way, I'll probably be disconnecting the speaker since I will use one bedside (don't want to wake the sig other) and one at work and don't want to bother my coworkers either.

When you set it down. The beep is to tell you it's placed correctly on the mat.

i was on the fence yesterday about getting it, and picked it up today and i am so glad i did. i especially like how firm of a grip it has. i still think i may pick up the energizer one from amazon so i can have one at home and one at the office
I'm thinking of picking up the LG pad (and ripping the speaker out) to put on my desk. I can't think of anything more convenient that just putting the phone down and it charging up. I'll probably continue to use a charger at night for now. I'm not really crazy about the LG pad, and you know there'll be more options out there soon. I'd rather hold off and get one that's maybe more stylish, or slimmer (and no beep!) before I invest in a second pad.
I'd like to see a USB powered pad if possible, so I could toss it in my bag and take it to work with me (no free outlets at my desk so I currently charge my phone through the USB port).
I just ordered the nokia charger from verizons website, it is compatible with DNA.
Long Term Use
I have read that wireless charging causes the battery to get warmer than corded charging. I wonder since this is a non-replaceable battery will that effect the overall life of the battery. Is anyone else worried about long term use of a charging pad. I love the idea but wonder if it will cause issues later on.

What I'm worried about is the constant charging and discharging that will happen when we're forced to charge it over night, at work, and then in the car.
also picked up a wireless pad for the dna and it was only $35 on amazon! i was shocked! great deal! dont know how far away it will work from the pad???

so it wont work an inch above at all?
I didn't see it answered anywhere, but if you go with the wireless charger will you be able to keep a slim case on it? I don't want to put an otterbox on it or anything since it is already a pretty big phone, but I would like to put one of those slim form-fitting cases on it.

Anyway....you are probably going to have a hard time finding that cover. I'm sure you did the search on the web. No luck there then you may try to contact HTC

Seems like phone is out of juice. Leave it for charging for couple hours. Should start after that.
it charged all night and has been charging again for the last 3 hours.

thanks,
I am waiting for the support chat to wake up.
just thinking that maybe others had the problem as well and found a solution.
Had that thought with the dirt as well. Found quite some dust in there but sadly didnt fix my problem.
Same thing happened with my phone Can't get passed "Low Battery... the battery is too
cant even get into bootloader and tired of seeing Message " Battery is low charge for a while "..

Does anyone have the Mate 20 Pro AND Gear S3 / S3 Frontier watch?

Hve you checked if reverse wireless charging works with the S3 watch? It would be the only scenario in which this "feature" would be helpful for me but I don't really think it would
work as the watch doesn't work with 90% of wireless charging out there but there are some generic pads that do and also some knock off watch chargers that do as well so I'm not sure what triggers the watch charging (maybe really low wattage or a magnet?)
It was the first thing I tried and it doesn't . It actually shuts it off which is weird. I'd love if they could make it work though.

Damn, disappointing
Does it switch off the watch or the reverse charging setting?
Have you tried adding a little magnet and putting the watch in a vertical position as if it was in the original charger? I'm not sure how the cheap knock off gear s3 chargers from amazon and ebay do work
