[tutorial] Download mode restore unroot lock bootloader tot file - LG G Watch

How to put into download mode
1st thing download the zip in the linkhttp://d-h.st/6Wp
Install:
1. Install the LG drivers.
2. Install LGFlashTools v1.8 (but don't run it)
3. Extract the TOT file from the ZIP
When LG Flash Tool is installed, do not launch it.
7) Copy MegaLock.dll to C:\LG\LGFlashTool, This is a hidden folder so enable "hidden folders". Replace the old MegaLock.dll file if you have already installed LG Flash Tool on your computer.
8) Launch LG Flash Tool.
You might see a window with Korean language, just click on OK.
Check the Select Manual Mode on the top.
9) MAKE SURE UNDER, DEVICE MANAGER, YOUR PORT IS SET TO COM 41 FOR YOUR DEVICE.
10) Click the DLL box and choose the dll file from above for you phone model.
11) Click the S/W box and select the firmware file with .tot extension.
12) Now click the Yellow arrow button on the top left of the main window.
The firmware installation will be triggered.
Ignore if you see any temporary error and just wait patiently till it is finished.
Do not close the Flash Tool window.
13) Power off and place on dock when lg screen comes on swipe from button left to top right
Your LG G Watch will restart showing firmware installation progress in percent (%).
When all is done
I will post more videos and pics later

[SOLVED] Bypass LGsetupwizard!

I was wondering how to this.
I was flashing Killjoy's performance scripts (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2411161). After flashing the file and choosing to reboot, for dumb reasons I chose to disable recovery flash when it asked to reboot. Now, when I go to LG setup, once I'm done, I get the message that "lg setup wizard has stopper working" and loops me back to the start of the setup. Please help!:crying:
I know L9 is virtually unbrickable. I just need to be pointed in the right direction and I know I can bring it back!
Edit: Issue resolved!
Did you by any chance uninstall it using titanium backup or similar? Try to get a logcat.
Sent from my LG-P760 using xda app-developers app
I guess he can't use none of the applications as he is stuck in the wizard. Try reflasing a stock ROM using kdz: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2085344

Yea, this is the case. Can't get out of it. I really don't know how in the world did it uninstall itself. I didn't use Titanium Backup at all. After flashing the killjoy zip file, I chose to reboot. I then got a warning:
"ROM may flash stock recovery on boot. Fix? THIS CAN'T BE UNDONE" I then get 3 options to chose from: "No", "Yes - Disable recovery flash, "++Go Back++
I chose yes, and then all went haywire. Is there a way I can determine my phone's connection type via computer? I tried flashing V20D using the KDZ offline method, but it won't progress. It says "Phone not connected." Last I recall, I left the connection on media sync (MTP, I think it's its acronym). Since I'm on JB, I know it needs to be in LG Software Mode.
I have faced this issue too, even if I entered into SW Upgrade mode manually, KDZ did not detect my phone :/
However, I had success using the official LG updater software (connected my phone in SW upgrade mode).

Was your phone recognized by your computer? Because mine isn't. Think you can tell me more or less the steps you took to make it work?
Here's what I've tried so far:
1. downloaded most updated LG drivers
2. downloaded official LG mobile support tool
3. ran it, no effect.
4. downloaded LG pc suite, based on troubleshooting.
5. tried lg mobile support tool again, no good. Said connect PC to internet (???)
6. tried LG mobile support tool from shtttps from offline flash method, no good.
7. Put phone on SW upgrade mode (removed battery, volume up, put battery back in) and retried offline flash method again, halts at 15%. Says that phone isn't connected. It was set on DIAG since it's JB software.
8. Tried recovery update, but phone isn't recognized even if I put IMEI number in.
Thanks!
Flash a ics kdz... should work..

These are the usb drivers needed to root. They are the Verizon specific drivers for the LG G2 direct from the LG website. LG doesn't have G3 specific drivers, but these do work. Change your USB connection after your cable is connected from MTP, to Internet connection, then select ethernet. Once you do that you will have about 6 yellow ! under Windows device manager, until you install the following drivers. Once you install the drivers all the !'s will go away, and you are now ready to run the IOROOT batch file and have your phone rooted.

That link works great for the root file, but it wasn't 100% crystal clear on which usb drivers to get. I downloaded 2 sets of usb drivers that were incorrect (the generic usb, and then the verizon) neither worked, until I went directly to the LG website and downloaded that file. Figured I'd post a direct link incase some else had the same issue I did, and wasn't sure which usb driver would work. Had they posted this link it would have saved me about an hour of trying to get wrong drivers to work.

Yeah, I saw a few links as I was reading over the last few pages yesterday. I'll add this to the OP to make it easier for everyone. I went and checked the phone out yesterday but didn't get it because I saw the development sections were completely empty in the Verizon G3 forums.
Worked fine for me. The toughest part was getting it into debug mode (switch to internet connection instead of MTP).

So, ioroot doesn't need Windoze? I can just run the shell script from my Arch Linux terminal...

enable Tethering
Hi , does anyone know how to enable tethering after rooting? ( I mean remove the provisioning)
See: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2812305
You have to reset the link name and/or password each time you enable the hotspot, but it definitely works.

Bricked Tmobile lg-k7

Hello Everyone,
I have a questions and hopefully some one can help me out here. My son has bricked my phone and I believe it is a soft brick... could be wrong. However, I need to find away too unbrick it.
I can get into hard reset with out issues. however with everything I do, I can't get into recovery what's so ever. The phone just hangs at the loading screen. I have talked to my son in order to find out what he did and this is exactly what he told me
He installed king root and attempted to replace-kinguser-with-supersu. However when he installed the application, it asked to reboot the phone. Well he rebooted the phone and now it is stuck at the loading screen and wont go any further than that. He also told me that he did not remove kingroot prior too the reboot. Please help! as I need my phone for work.
I am out of options on what too do. I would post the guide he used but I am limited due too the spamming regulations of the board.
Any one have an idea on how to unsoft brick this phone? I am all out of options as the only two options I have are hard boot and download mode.

According to the good people here on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/general/qa-metro-pcs-lg-k7-lgms330-t3331678 there is only a paid solution at the moment.
http://lg-firmware-rom.com/download...330-dll-for-lg-up-unbrick-lg-k330-with-lg-up/
if it is a lg k7 k330 (tmo) i followed this guide http://www.repairshopusa.com/phone/lg-k7-k330-unbrick-method/
Thank you for the information. However the lgup application does not recognize my phone. Indicates that the model is "Unknown"
Guess i am out of luck lol
Not uncommon. Sometimes you need to unplug and replug the device back in or close and reopen the program.
Thank you for the information. Does the USB debugging option need to be enabled because if it does, I don't think it is as the my computer does not recognize my device at all. Under computer, it shows as k7. However when I got into the device manager it indicated "LGE Android MTP device".
No. USB Debugging only works while booted into the system or recovery. You must be in Download Mode for the LG Up tool.
At this time, I am really frustrated as nothing is currently working at this time. Possibly because the phone just went under a hard reset. I have changed the port too 41 and ran the flash tool and that was not able too pick up my phone either. Also, I can't seem to get the lgup to work correctly as it's still not working correctly.
I have uninstalled the applications belonging too lg, rebooted and then reinstalled them and I still get the same thing. I have attached screen shots below. lgup does indicate the firmware I need, however I can't get too it lol

If I remember right, you have to make it search for *.kdz otherwise it's looking for .tot files, which is why it's probably not seeing the firmware you need.

Yes you are correct. However the file that I have downloaded from the link below doesn't actually provide you with a kdz file. The file provided you the files that have been extracted from the kdz file, which are the (LGK330.dz) file
Ah, weird. Never worked on an LG that didn't use .tot, .kdz, or .bin files. I guess just search for *.dz and it should load according to the link the other guy put up.

[GUIDE] how to bring back to life dead nexus 6p , hard brick.

i hard brick my phone yesterday. trying to flash bootloader with flashfire. (the lazy way) thats what i get. anyways could not turn on n6p, tried charging it for a couple of hours, try holding power button for 30 seconds, try power + volume . tried holding all buttons. nothing work.. read some threads saying its done. look for new phone or send to get repair. then i found tenfar thread. long story short. i used some of tenfar info and rwj5279955.. so big thanks to these two users
here is what i did to get my N6p to turn back on.. brick by bootloader.. this is my first how to .. bear with me. please.
you will need the following https://drive.google.com/file/d/0By19rrbnQfVUVFZEVUZqQzY1RWs/view?usp=sharing
Qualcomm drivers
QFIL software
3 files, patch0, prog_emmc_firehose, rawprogram0 .. for this to work
1. install qualcomm drivers, Connect phone to pc, open Device Manager. if you see under com port Qualcomm USB loader or something along those lines. your good, go to step 2. if not disconnect phone hold power button for 10 seconds, wait for 5 seconds connect phone to pc. check if in com ports you see Qualcomm drives. if you can not get qualcom drivers on com port. just stop. its not going to work..
2. extract the three files. in a folder somewhere easy to remember.
3. install the QFIL software, . once install run QFIL.
4. in QFIL software
if qualcomm driver are found it will say on top of QFIL software Qualcom USB loader 9008
Select Build Type: click Meta Build
Select Build :: patch0 ... if for some reason patch0 doesnt work try rawprogram0
Select Programmer:: pro_emmc_firehose
hit download ...if the blue bar get to half way mark your golden. its going to always fail. the trick is to get the blue bar at least half ways. then you disconnect phone, hold power button, it should turn on.. then you ADB what ever you need to do.
for those that get the fail right away.. while phone connected to pc, hold power button until drivers disappear from device manager.. then disconnect phone, wait for 5 seconds, hold power button, for 10 second,.. wait for 5 seconds .. then connect phone back to pc, wait for device manager to see drivers.. then hit the download button . do this part over and over again ..until it works..
sorry for this horrible guide.. it work for me.. hope it works for you..

did you do this..
for those that get the fail right away.. while phone connected to pc, hold power button until drivers disappear from device manager.. then disconnect phone, wait for 5 seconds, hold power button, for 10 second,.. wait for 5 seconds .. then connect phone back to pc, wait for device manager to see drivers.. then hit the download button . do this part over and over again ..until it works..
also try extracting all these files into the folder you made .. this includes the three files .. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0By19rrbnQfVUbFZSc3A3VXhGRzQ
Thank you so much! I messed up my 6P when I tried to flash a bootloader image via Flashfire. I hadn't been in a brick this bas since the good old days of Gingerbread and ROM Manager! For anyone else having similar issues, I got my dead 6P to be recognized as QHSUSB_bulk eventually in Windows 7. I then edited the rawprogram0.xml file (from OP's link) in a text editor. I removed the entries for all the other partitions I didn't want to overwrite (like system and vendor and userdata), leaving only the sbl1 (secondary bootloader, the part of the firmware that actually boots into the system/recovery/bootloader when the device is first powered on) partition entry - because that's what Flashfire said it had flashed the entire bootloader image to. Doing a bit of research, I found that our bootloader image is actually just many different small partitions all grouped together into a single image file. I couldn't figure out how to unpack the bootloader image, so I downloaded a full firmware OTA zip from Google, and lo and behold, there was a "bootloader.sbl1.img" (along with other small partitions) file in the OTA zip. I changed the sbl1.img entry in the rawprogram0.xml file so that it correlated with the filename "bootloader.sbl1.img", I moved the image file into the same folder as the rawprogram0.xml, and then I was able to restore my device to it's previous functionality using the "flat build" download configuration in QFil, though the whole process did take me like 3 hours. Lesson learned - screw using Flashfire for bootloader images.
ERROR: Could not access "C:\temp\vendor.img" with access mode 'rb'
When I'm finally lucky, rebooting, replugging the phone, it looks like it might flash...
...then I see this.
I've given all permissions to all users for full control, on the file, I've run time program as administrator, I don't know what else to do. If it can't open the file, I can't flash my phone. I'm not a Windows administrator so I don't really know what to do to get this to work and I can't find any hints on the forums.

Matt
I have already tried to upgrade this beta version a few times, however, I always have an SPC error at the beginning of the process (c.a. 4%). I searched around xda and found out that this error is attributed to "a wrong version" - but this should be impossible as I am using H873.

Mostly Occurs when you have LG Bridge. I also got that error uninstalling LG bridge resolved it.

You should be using H87320i in order to update. Please make sure you have correct drivers and you are using LGUP version I provided. In order to update your phone should be on the home screen and sometime Lg bridge also cause trouble
I have H871 that has been converted to H873 by installing the Canadian Oreo ROM. Is it possible for me to upgrade to pie using this tutorial?
I've never installed lg bridge.
I'm wondering if it only works with specific carriers. If I click firmware update the phone reboots and trying to do a firmware update just to see.
No matter what I get the mtp error when trying install this firmware.
I'm in Canada
H7320i software version.
Is it possible to install on h87320c?
I am using H87320i, flashed using LGUP+Uppercut few months ago. I uninstalled LG bridge and tried to use new version of LGUP + a newer LGUP_common.dll, however, always have an error : 0x2000 open port error.
This seems to be related to the LGUP_common.dll, but I already tried to use few different files (versions) downloaded from different sources, the error is still there. (Note that driver is working fine as I can access my phone using PC/laptop).
@harib12: can you please upload the dll file you used?

If you are already using H873 stock rom then it should be fine however, I will not take responsibility for your action. Compatibility mainly depends on hardware similarity.

It should be didn't try but it is FOTA. An OTA requires a sequence. However, as you are pushing this using LG UP maybe you have some luck. But I suggest flashing H8732oi KDZ.

If You're following this tutorial your phone should show a FOTA screen then it should boot. It is an open FOTA and not restricted to carriers. and are you using the links i have given? do you install any Common dll?. If yes remove the common dll as your using upper cut.
I use this tutorial and LG UP tell me a message that have a problem with dll.
Can you help me.

You didn't replace the model folder and LGUP in C drive properly. Don't use the folder you downloaded to start the program.
