Anker 6400mah extended battery - Galaxy Note 3 Accessories

I'm not one to create a post, but I just thought I would share the amazing results I'm having with this battery. I am a very heavy user, so the stock battery would need to be charged at least once to get me through the day. I was very skeptical prior to ordering the battery, however, after all the reviews I read on amazon I had to give the battery a shot.
I received the battery yesterday with a 58% charge and I used the phone sparingly. The next morning (today), I was going to vegas, which is the perfect opportunity to test the battery out. I took the phone off the charger at 530 am, fully charged, did some Web browsing/instagram/facebook etc. I used Pandora and Google maps the entire way to vegas which is a 3 hour trip. With everything at the max settings including screen brightness, all social media syncing and the battery is still going strong. I have not charged the battery since this morning at 530 am and it is now 1135 pm with the battery sitting at 4%. If you're on the fence about purchasing this battery, do it! Here are some screen shots for you all to enjoy:

One more thing, this was all done without wifi. I was on 4glte most of the time, but i also ran into areas where i had no service on the way to vegas. I wanted to see how much I could push the battery and it did extremely well.

interesting... I was just getting annoyed about charging my spare batteries and charging my external charger so might check into this.. I just hope it isn't too thick

It's not too thick, even with the seidio extended dilex case on it isn't too bulky.

thanks.. seems like that's one of the best ones? I heard the stock anker cover sucks

In my opinion, it is the best case for this battery. The stock anker cover is very slick and shiny, however it fits perfectly. The slick and shiny drawbacks didn't bother me too much, because I knew I was going to have the seidio extended dilex case on it. I was more concerned about the fitment of the anker cover, and it fit like a glove.

would you mind posting some pictures of the phone with the case?

I have this battery and it fits perfectly under the seidio extended ledger view. Basically a S view cover. I assume it would fit any of the seidio extended covers.

Here you go :

I'm using the mugen battery cover with kickstand and wireless charging with this battery. Perfect fit. They are only $19.99, but you have to request they send you the one with qi charging. Here's the link. http://www.ebay.com/itm/351003755089?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

Seidio Battery?

So for some reason I seem to recall Seidio having a normal size battery for the Evo that was a jump up in mah. I wonder if they will do the same for the Photon. Thoughts?
I hope so but don't know if I'm going to hold my breath. The Evo was a lot more popular than the photon thus far. Seidio has to deem it worthwhile to research and produce.

This is true. I didn't think about that point. Oh well.
Actually, seidio does have an extended battery in development! Check out their online storefront, should be 69 bucks ....coming soon for our mopho
Heres the link directly to the Battery:

Enjoy
Is it the fat one like the Evo had?
Edit
Okay I see now. Asking about one that isn't so large.

photon extended battery now shipping at seidio
ordered my photon 4g extended battery from seideo, will arrive tomorrow and I will also report back on my impressions and battery performance
having one of the seidio extendeds for my evo4g I cant wait for my photons extended battery to arrive
Mines on its way too, but I'm a bit worried about how the phone is going to handle reporting its level. I've been using one of those cheap eBay 1950mAh bats for a couple days now and even after a calibration, the level will hit 5% in less than an hour, and stay there the rest of the day.
I wouldn't be worried about seidio though. They make a quality product.

New Seidio Extended Battery For PHoton 4g Arrived Today
Got mine today had it overnighted from seidio ( they are in houston) anyhow the fit and finish are nice on the battery cover, has that rubberized feel.
The battery is not as large as I expected, the cover fits quite nicely and is padded, no issues whatsoever, the speaker grill is more open and allows more sound from the phone.
I have put the phone on the charger for the initial 8 hour period as recommended by seidio so i havent used it yet.
What I can tell you is the product has a professional look and feel, I can also tell you that it is not as bulky at the extended battery on the evo 4g also from seidio, it is also considerably lighter with the photon than the evo 4g is with its seidio extended battery, personally I find both with the evo and now with the photon that the extended battery makes the phone much easier to handle and more comfortable not to mention all that extra battery life. Will report back on my first few days of use. What I can tell you in regards to my seidio extended battery on the evo4g is that it generally lasts me two and a half days, no need to carry a charger or extra battery around, seidio does not currently have an innocase for the extended photon battery but they do have a few cases for the evo 4g extended battery so if thats something important to you im sure they will make one in the near future. I just use a belt clip case I bought at best buy that was large enough for the evo with an extended battery ( works well for the photon as well).
If you have ever used these extended batteries or wonder if they make your phone awkward? Rest assured Seidio has done a very good job on this battery and the phone feels quite normal, quite comfortable while using it. All kickstand, noise cancelling ports, speaker grille are present and well made.
Get yours today you wont be sorry

Got mine today and so far so good. The fit of the new battery door to the phone is fantastic. But the fit from the door to the battery is too loose. Just setting the phone down on a table normally will jar it enough to reset it. I folded and cut a piece of papertowel to wedge in there and that's solved the issue.
I have yet to buy a holster like I did for my Hero and Evo because the vibration and ringer are good enough that I just carry it in my pocket. Will it fit in a front pocket with the extended battery?
Seidio Extended performance
Have used my photon all day with the extended battery, three hours of talk, hour of texting, browsing through the market, some speedtests, craigslist, battery is at 50 percent after a full days use with background data enabled.
My battery has no fit issues at all, back cover fits snugly no issues no jarring not loose. Feels great in hand and as mentioned previously much lighter than the extneded battery for the evo 4g. Seidio has dont a great job with this extended battery, hardly adds any bulk and makes the phone more comforatble to hold while texting, browsing etc. Standard battery couldnt make it through a day, on first charge the extended seidio is at 50 percent!!
Those who buy this battery should fully charge it for 8 hours after installation and run the battery down a few times to get the best life from it. Turn the phone off while charging and allow it to charge a couple more hours after the indicator turns green.
The cover fits great and I am very satisfied with the battery soo far, using a generic case from best buy that hooks to my belt ( the black one that they advertise for large phones around 4 inches fits in this pouch with no problems and room to spare).
Pics to come when I figure out how to post them here lol.
the price is 69 dollars for this battery, best price around for a 3500 mah extended battery
speaker grill on the back cover is excellent and gives you more sound, had to turn my volume down
great battery and back cover and only 20 bucks more than a standard battery from motorola the back cover has some padding on it to give it a snug fit against the battery, previous poster had issues wiht theirs, none with mine at all, suggest you return yours for a new back cover this battery is great

many of those cheap batteries are not capable of the mah they claim to be, often these knockoffs will just have weights in them instead of a genuine sized cell, some of these batteries are known to catch fire and some can also ruin your phone, I would steer clear of them especially ones made in china, just a ripoff
seidio extended has genuine japanese cells, battery level at a stable 50 percent after heavy use all day on this 3500 mah beauty, back cover is of the same quality as the original back cover
will fit in your pocket although I never recommend carrying a phone that way, especially if you have keys in your pocket
seidio will probably have an extended innocase that will fit the extended battery just like they have for the evo4g and other phones, generic holster from best buy 24 bucks and suits my needs perfectly
no batteries to carry around, no charger to carry around, worry free day with no thoughts of charging

Where is the magical Samsung NFC Battery?

I don't remember where I saw it, but I remember there being a Samsung Galaxy S II 2000 mAH battery that was NFC-Capable and required no bigger battery door.
Does anyone have the link?
Search ebay for this: GENUINE-SAMSUNG-GALAXY-S2-i9100-ORIGINAL-BATTERY-2000mAh-HIGH-CAPACITY-COVER
I am new to this forum so I can't post a link yet.
I purchased it a few weeks ago for my At&t S2. It works great! When at home on the weekends my battery only goes down to about 70% by the end of the day, before it usually dropped to around 30-40%. Although the battery fits perfect the new cover was made to fit only the Korean version of the phone. I used an xacto knife and trimmed the interfering catches on the sides of the new cover so it fit in place. The end catches of the cover still fit. I then placed the phone in a TPU case which fit perfect without any budges or stretches. Actually feels better to handle and still weighs 8 grams less than my old iPhone 4.

Looking at the pictures it seems that the new battery cover is every so slightly larger. Is that true?
Yes, the Korean battery cover makes the back of the phone flat instead of dipped at the bottom. Also recesses the camera window slightly which is good to protect it. Same texture on the new cover as the original one. It's too bad Samsung didn't make the catches the same on both covers.
The battery works w/o reboots when charging via USB?
So, does it say "Near Field Communication" on the back of the battery like the original 1650maH one?
I have an extra 2000 mAH NFC battery for sale. PM me.
The Korean 2000ma battery does say NFC on the back and I have not noticed any reboots when connected to my PC. I actually don't connect via USB very much, just use Kies air which works good.

Would you say that the back would have no problem staying on if you didn't use a case? I have the car dock and a case won't fit, but I think the battery would. Thanks.
I have not tried to carry the phone without the external case. Mine won't fall off but doesn't require much effort to pop it off with a finger nail. I would be uneasy to use the Korean back without the external case. I did have to give up my home charger base because of using the external TPU case, but I felt it was justified by the extra protection provided by the case.
I have a Ballistic SG case on my phone. Would this battery possibly still fit?

I searched and all I'm finding are international sellers, which takes forever and in the past I've gotten several fakes from international sellers. Anyone know if Amazon or a US Seller has this extended ORIGINAL battery?
Thanks!
I am also hesitant to buy the battery from a foreign 3rd party seller. I spent about an hour and a half on Samsung Korea's website with google translate and I haven't been able to find it for sale on their site.

I MAY be going to Seoul in the next couple weeks... if I do end up going I'm def going to pick one of these up
So I got the Battery today, the battery cover doesn't fit perfectly. I had to get a buffer and do it to both sides of the insertion cover (left + right) for it to be "snugly", though I went overboard on the right side and it's pretty ugly if you look in between the cracks.

Sounds far less than ideal. :-(
The less than perfect fit on the battery cover was not an issue for me. I knew of the issue before ordering the battery. What was important was extended battery life and I wanted to put the phone in a light weight case anyway. The TPU case was a perfect fit and affords a better grip then no case. I am running JuiceDefender in auto mode with a very stock AT&T phone. Bluetooth and wifi are always on and two imap email accounts. On work days I'm usually down to around 70% by night, weekends typically 80% left. I use the phone only on a moderate level, no game playing or videos. Just nice to know I have plenty of reserve left just in case I need a heavy use for a few hours.

Juice defender is so crippling. If you're only using 20-30% all day with JD enabled, why bother? Might as well unleash your phone's full potential, and let it do it's thing. You may only have 20-30% remaining at the end of the day, but as a non-power user, why do you bother using JD? Are you OCD like me and hate seeing less than 75% battery remaining? LOL
It fits perfect now, and it's still thinner and lighter than the original Galaxy S (Captivate)!
Any pics? I want to get an idea of how much thicker it gets.

Otterbox Defender and Extended Battery Mod, (cutting required)

Ok, so this is my first thread on these forums. If I'm breaking the rules or posting incorrectly, etc. Please let me know how to fix it.
I went ahead and got all the measurements off of various sites before I attempted this. I lost the paper I wrote the dimensions on. But this does work. I used an exacto knife, old pair of wire cutters and a file. I wish I had a dremel to do this, It would've been a lot cleaner and more exact.
I ordered an OEM Thunderbolt Extended Battery, Otterbox Defender Case, and a Zagg Screen Protector. I've been using this setup for a month now and am very pleased.
I spent $65 total on amazon.com and zagg.com for everything.
I first laid the battery in the battery cover and scored the edges. I pushed through it on one corner than began to cut. I filed down the edges. I then laid the cover in the Otterbox case and scored the outline. Then I ran the exacto back and forth for quite a while until I got through on one edge, than began to cut.
Here are my results. I know the images aren't the best quality. I haven't bought a new camera since before I've had my first android.
I peeled a bit of the padding out of the back of the Otterbox case and put it on the battery just to see how much it would push out the silicon cover, not much.
Now I am going to double-side tape the left over rectangle of the battery cover to the battery and get some weather stripping and place it on top of that.
The Zagg and the Otterbox mate well at first, eventually they begin to separate around the edges, I used the spray between them that came with the Zagg shield. The Zagg stays in place though. I haven't noticed any dust or debris since it's started. So far over this month they've stayed together in the center. I don't mind it as I am pretty hard on my phones physically and usage wise. It's hard to tell when the screen is actually on.
If you have any questions that I haven't answered, just let me know.
Thanks for looking.
How well has this been working for you? I have been planning on doing the same thing.

I did something similar with my trident kraken case. I was going to get this otterbox but I didn't because trident has a better selection of colors and so far its been great.

I saw on htcpedia that you can actually use the Defender case without the back plastic piece. Just wrap the silicone outer cover around the phone with just the front plastic on. Haven't tried it but their video shows that it seems to fit perfect.
Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk 2
The problem with doing that is the phone will not fit in the holster screen out and the volume buttons are way to sensitive. If you cut the otter box back and the standard battery door everything fits nearly prefect.

I believe that also voids your (lifetime) warranty. Commuter cases are better anyway, but that's just me..
*Sent...*
You should read the fine print. Its hardly a lifetime warranty. In fact is only for a year. And if you have a flaw within that year, they will only replace it once. Besides, how many things can really go wrong with a phone case? Once it breaks, your probably ready for a different one anyway.
Sent from my rooted slightly modified Rezound using XDA
Just did this last night....and I agree, would be much easier with a dremel. I'm going to borrow a friends to smooth the cuts, but so far, it works like a champ. I used an OEM Rezound extended battery though

Thanks for the pics and info for this MOD I did it a few days ago and I love it you can't even tell that I added the extended battery. I picked up a battery from Verizon website on sale for 29.99 plus my 18% off. Worked out great.
Love the mod. I'm gonna do it my next day off. How solid does it feel? Does anything feel lose on the back? Also do you think this would work with the mugen 4000 mah battery?

Looks and fell you can't even tell you did the mod. I did nice clean cuts the battery cover was so close on my cuts a had to go back with sand paper as I was not getting cell service do to the antenna no connected. So take your time the OEM batt cover already has the outline of the battery so that cut is very easy. after that just lay the back cover in the outerbox and mark and cut you will be very happy with it.
I ended up doing it yesterday and I'm in love
. You really can't tell it's there. The only thing I'm wondering is the dimensions of the 4000 mah battery because I'm wondering if it will work with this mod. Can anyone chime in? Is it bigger then the OEM extended battery?

Well the 4000 mah battery has to be the same around so even if it is thicker I think the outerbox rubber will still give in and pull over it just fine.
Today I did the same case mods.
I purchased a used standard rezound back piece for $5 + $4 for shipping. This way if I screw up I only lose the used back piece.
Well I did a good tight job on the back piece. It's like HTC already put cutting lines inside the back piece to make it easier for us. I used a dremel tool with cutoff wheel. Also used a file to smooth it out.
On the defender box I cut the rectangle a little too low and had to lengthen the hole. But I don't think it matters that the hole is 1/8 inch larger than necessary.
I am generally pleased, but I suspect this leaves the phone more vulnerable to water damage if it becomes submerged in liquid.
Sorry to everyone for not checking on this thread in such a long time. This has had a very solid feel. I love the rezound. Also, as for the 4000mah battery. I looked at the youtube video about it. It is a tad thicker than the OEM extended battery. But I see no reason why it wouldn't fit. The silicon will stretch. I'm actually looking into getting the 4500mah battery from mugen for the thunderbolt to see if that will work. I don't mind the added bulk, obviously haha. I also need to clean my case up with my dremel. I've just been lazy. I can take pics of this phone later to show how it's held up. The only other thing is it is hard to fit the phone in screen out in the belt clip if you want to use it as a stand. With any mugen, imho, it will not fit that way at all. But regular face in, no battery will affect that.
I'd be careful about handing all that cash to mugen. Their batteries are under 80 percent of the claims.

you get some bulk but nothing close to those extended battery with ugly looking bulge/hump

cheers !
Just had this good case sharp feel around the edges but its biggest problem is the charge rate is .5 amps. Our phone prefers 1 amp, as such the phone charges extremely slow and sometimes while using the phone you will actually lose battery. I ended up returning mine, thinking of getting a 5,000 amp battery because of this, tried not to but that's the best option.

i have the smaller 5200 mah extended battery and this case.
Honestly i like them both but i go back to the 3200mah case with stock battery because it charges my phone while i stream pandora all day. .5 charging amp isn't that big of a deal. it still charges the battery for me.
extended is nice too though, but they don't last as long as you would think. (at least mine didn't) unless you buy an expensive mugen one.
Just ordered this up, thanks for the posting! It's everthing I want - mega juice, option to remove without shutting phone down, good looking (no HUMP!), kickstand, and cheap! Could also double as a multi-use external battery pack for other phones, mp3 players, etc. Now to calm my anticipation for 3-4 weeks while I wait for shipping, LOL.
Check out all the goodies
Found more alternatives... many different styles and capacities ... YEAH !!!

Some of these look pretty nice, but some of them defeat the purpose of the s-pen, especially the ones that totally block it & include a crappy lil' stylus instead :/
Still waiting in the big boat to cross the ocean. Should be delivered any day between now and Nov 4th hahah.
Battery case showed today. Initial impressions: great feel in hand, very textured and slightly rubbery but slides in and out of pocket well. Fit is ok, one corner could have been molded a little tighter. Nice suade material where the phone rests against case protects phone and keeps from shifting around. The micro-usb fits VERY tight, a bit scary like if I pull hard enough to remove i might break the pigtail cable. Kickstand is cheap/lightweight but works. We'll see if this offers anything near over double the battery life I get. If not, I'm only out 17 bucks. I'll report back in a week or two after it's run in for awhile.

Extended battery case

hey all,
Im thinking about getting an extended battery for my note, probably a 5200mah. I was wondering if anyone has tried this before or if anyone thinks it would work. There is a tpu case thats meant to cover phones with extended batteries. Ad says n7000 but ive seen another ad that lists the n7000 and i717 as being compatible.

what do ya think?
Hi, I bought both the tpu case($5) and the 5200mha extended battery with back cover($10) from eBay and am pretty satisfied. The case fits real well around this extended back cover, not being the best case only because I would prefer something more rugged, however it has a hole for charms. The extended battery is pretty good so far as well. I am a really heavy user, and this 5200mha battery lasts me for a while, definitely time and half of the original 2600mha battery. I read forums using my phone and am constantly flashing roms or playing/downloading new apps. In my personal opinion I think this battery and case are worth the $15.
triavq,
So how do you like the battery and case? I know it's been many months, but I am curious?
I have the same one ordered (in Black) but not received yet..long way from china to here!
I going to try and squeeze that case around a 7000mAh battery and back cover. I don't like the squared off back cover that comes with some of those extended batteries.
I am hoping the 7000mAh battery isn't much thicker than the 5200mAh ones.
