Problems: Bootloop and returns to recovery mode (revolutionary)
I have tried to do a restore but it does not do anything.
I have tried to flash the bootimage via adb (after 'adb devices') but I get a 'waiting for device' message and nothing is happening.
Question is: What can I do from here to correct my mistakes?
You do not flash it through adb you flash it through Fastboot while your flyer is in Fastboot mode

Thank you for your respons!
Yes ofcourse it's Fastboot, silly me, and now it seems to flash the boot image. Never the less it keeps bootlooping. It reaches the lockscreen and then reboots.
I first factory reset, then flashed the rom and then I flashed the boot image in Fastboot mode. Am I doing this wrong?
Antoher thing is, I noticed this in HBOOT screen:
*** UNLOCKED ***
FLyer PVT Ship S-ON RL
It is unlocked and S-ON?
Take your sim out and try
Yes I tried that and it seems to work. I have not yet tried to put back in..

Flashing Roms W/ HTC unlock Install works but wont boot

Hi Everyone. '
I have been trying everything to get a custom rom on my HTC View. I tried the multi tool, which was unsuccesful at downgrading. I also tried no sense roms both would go to a black screen after flashing.
This Time i tried flashing dexters JB rom. The aroma installer worked fine but it says succesfulley installed, however the last line on the aroma installer says
-> Flashing Kernel
assert failedackage_extract_file("boot.img", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p22")
It then gives me the option to select next or save logs.
I select next and go and flash the 1.6 patch.
next i flash google apps.
then power off.
Next power on,
White HTC screen, then a black screen. nothing.
This happened to every rom i Installed. I am using Clockwork mod recovery to flash these. Is there something else I have to do?
here is my bootloader screen

From there I would select recovery and the revolutionary CWM would come up, I will then wip everything, install zip from sd card.
If you're HTCDev unlocked you cannot flash a different boot.img in recovery. Extract the boot.img from the ROM you are trying to flash and place it in your android-sdk/platform-tools folder then use the following commands in a terminal.
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot

[Q] Help!! HTC one x+ no os

Right here's the thing, my brother in law wishes to sell his HTC one x+, so he tried to restock the phone but for some reason he tried to install supersu and twrp 2.7.0.1 he told me that while twrp had installed his pc blue screened when installing supersu.. So now the phone will only go into bootloader mode, I've tired installing guru rest but the installation gets so far then jumps back to the recovery Screen, so I guess it's failed..
So basically the phone has no os installed, no back up or restore files. It only has twrp 2.7.0.1
I'm able to use hboot
I'm able to access twrp via recovery
I'm able to adb push files

look, is the recovery installed on your Phone
if not: go download fastboot drivers and the recovery
then on ur Phone go to fastboot mode plug it in it should show "fastboot usb"
then go to ur pc and go to command prompt
to the place where the fastboot drivers and the recovery is
then do "fastboot flash recovery name_of_your_recovery.img" without quotation marks
now you need to flash a kernel so download it
fastboot usb mode again
fastboot flash boot boot.img
try to boot the Phone
if it didnt work then go to the bootloader and select recovery
hit the power button...
then you should be in recovery then use the ADB sideload to load your files from the pc or usb otg or something :d

[Q] Stock recovery for download?

Hi folks, have TWRP installed, rooted, wanted to get the OTA, but can't b/c of twrp being installed.
I have the OTA d/led from at&t. Can I load the firmware.zip from that with
fastboot oem rebootRUU
and then
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip ?
( both of which are from godfirst' post here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2419699 )
and is that the 'stock recovery"?
Or is that JUST the new firmware? (as in the BIOS for the phone, to make a pc analogy.)

You can't flash the firmware with unlocked bootloader (edit: unless you have s-off.)
Open the firmware.zip with 7-zip, etc. and extract recovery.img, then 'fastboot flash recovery recovery.img'. (No need to rebootRUU.)
opened it with 7z.
going to try it shortly, once i remove htc sync........ ugh.
Gets to 25% and stops. Not sure if it's hung or still going, but I've waited 18 minutes so far.
I can power it off, then boot it again, and it hangs with red triangle exclamation.
One more power off/on and I'm back in the OS with a fail message.
Are there logs placed anywhere that I can look at?
Anyone get this and get past it?
Thx in advance for any thoughts.

[Q] HTC Rezound/Vigor ROM not flashing in fastboot

Hi,
I have HTC rezound running on a seemingly stock ROM. It was unlocked but I relocked it using the "fastboot oem lock" command.
According to a guide I went through, you download the ICS image "rezound_AndroidPolice_3.14.605.5_PH98IMG.zip", change the image name, upload it to the phone internal SD, reboot to bootloader and go into fastboot. Fastboot should automatically detect the zip file and start the flashing process. unfortunately this is not happening on my device.
HBOOT shows info below

I am currently using the phone in GSM mode and its been working fine for a while. I just want to flash to a newer GSM based ROM. AOSP or CM will do.
When I try to force using "fastboot boot PH98IMG.zip" I get message below from my command prompt
PS C:\android-sdk\sdk\platform-tools>fastboot boot PH98IMG.zip

I am a little confused here... What is the PH98IMG you are trying to flash? You do NOT flash a ZIP file with this command, fastboot flash commands are to flash specific partitions with their specific image file... I think you are mis-informed about how this all works.
You need to copy the PH98IMG.zip file to the root of the SD card, and reboot into the Hboot, it should detect it and flash it automatically... Or you would "fastboot boot recovery.img" to bring up recovery and flash the ZIP via recovery,

Hi Acejavelin.
Havent done this in a while, last time I flashed a ROM was in 2011. Anyway I sort of managed by using commands below (by the way, I have no SD card, checked and slot is empty). Thats after rebooting to HBOOT and choosing fastboot with USB connected
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip <filename>.zip [had to do this twice, first time it failed]
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot reboot
Thanks for your hints still, will try that. Only issue am having is the "sim card from an unknown source" message.

You should really get a microSD card... Fastboot flashing of ZIP images with stock hboot and recovery are questionable at best, as you have seen... Being S-off makes all this very simple if you have an sdcard. I would also make sure you are on current radios and bootloader.
As far as the unknown SIM message, you will get this on the stock ROM, but will not on a custom ROM... It is not service affecting though, only a visual annoyance.
