Hmm I've done some reading up on Crossbreeder since your post, as I have no experience of it, and it seems quite interesting so it may well included in a future version. Thanks for the suggestion.

So this is for the 12.2 t900 also?

For the moment this is just for the 10.1 WIFI SM-T520, as per the thread title, but I will put together a version for the 8.6 and the 12.2 if there is interest.
There are quite a number of features that I have lined up for this ROM so it won't stay this generic for long (hopefully). Watch this space![emoji1]

Hello is it possible to make a version for the 10.1 T525 as well
Thanks

nice work adding more rom choices!
Great to see another choice for. T520.
Out of curiosity what is dif from GraveD rom? I've been running for awhile now as my daily driver and it works flawlessly. From your description sounds like its all covered in That rom...am I missing something?
Cheers!

No you are not missing anything and as they are both based on stock images there are always going to be fairly similar to be honest.
Im not a great fan of comparing peoples ROM's as I know how much time and effort goes into these, I used to work an 8hr day and then come home and work until midnight when working on AndroWook for the Transformer Prime, so they are all fantastic achievements to me .
Looking at GraveD's ROM he has removed more apps, has added more additional apps in and has also added Crossbreeder to his which makes for a fantastic ROM and the reason i have not removed so many apps is that anything i have removed is available for download from the Play store and at least that way it is not installed into the system/app or system/priv-app like Samsung have forced if you are on stock.
Crossbreeder seems good and GraveD seems to have implemeted it nicely so hats off and no doubt I will add it shortly to AndroWook but may do it via Aroma that way you can have the choice of using it.

Hi, thanks so much bud for working on the t520 ! there is no much development going about,, so another rom sounds fantastic!

agreed
What would be nice as well if someone worked on kernel capable of overclocking.

YES. PLEASE!! 12.2 I have been searching... along with a couple of others and cannot find a decent working Rom.

download latest version of flashify app from playstore
After you load flashify, you have the choice in it to load twrp as your recovery.

Also am I correct in assuming it is a SM-T900 (Wifi version) rather than the SM-T905 (LTE version)??

Correct t900. Thanks so much. Apparently its a very difficult Rom to develop for.

Wait so you used the regular hellraise package for this? If so there's not a chance this works. I also just tested installing no go as the installer is looking for the GT-I9100 asserts in cwm

Only way for this to work is if you are coming from another hellraised rom. Otherwise the update-script needs to be modified for it to install in CWM

100% correct...I even updated the thread title about 10 minutes ago.
Properly Patched installer: for people coming from a Rom with a build.prop that says SGH-I777.
http://www.sendspace.com/file/qtewk8
The flash-aholic installer does not complete the process. On top of that after just getting it to boot, the build.prop still needs to be modified to say SGH-I777 instead of GT-I9100. Also my previously installed rom was a CM nightly
Update 2: New link with patched build.prop also otherwise you would not be able to flash the rom a 2nd time for install
ha my bad didnt see that. thx for this sky. imma try it out later. how do u like it compared to miui?

this thing is blazing, i also really like the minimalist theme
Also took an antutu test (even though benchmarks aren't usually my thing) and got 7521with everything set to performance. Around 6511 at my normal settings

(It doesn't matter what rom you are on, it doesn't matter if you are already running my rom!!! Follow the install instructions exactly as they are written!!!)
YOU MUST ALREADY HAVE DooMLorDs CUSTOM RECOVERY AND KERNEL IN ORDER TO FLASH THIS ROM!!! IF YOU DON'T HAVE THOSE TWO THINGS THEN DON'T FLASH THIS ROM!!!
If you want to use Stock Kernel Follow the directions below after flashing this ROM and booting it up first!!!
1) Put Galaxy Task ROM on your Tablet
2) Backup all the apps you want to keep with Titanium Backup
3) Make a Nandroid Backup in CWM
4) Wipe Cache Partition, Wipe Dalvik Cache (In Advanced), & Wipe Data/Factory Reset
5) Choose install zip
6) Done!!! REBOOT!!!
To use Stock Kernel follow these directions only after following all the steps above!!!
1) After the above steps and reboot move on to step #2
2) Download both of these files and put the wifi modules zip onto your tab ( http://goo-inside.me/devs/task650/HTC_Jetstream/stockjetstreamboot.img) (http://goo-inside.me/devs/task650/HTC_Jetstream/Stock_wifi_modules.zip )
3) flash the stockjetstreamboot.img with fastboot
4) Then in CWM recovery flash the wifi modules.
5) Done!!! You should have working wifi with stock kernel
(You MUST be on V2 to flash V3!!! Just wipe cache & dalvik cache to update to the latest release)

not much yet. couldnt get ICS working on this tab. Had to send it in twice to get it fixed after trying. but this seems a lot better then stock.
@ EVERYONE
sorry about how long this has taken me to get going. with my daughter being diagnosed with cancer and everything that comes along with that I sort of lost my mind for a while. but i have a little bit more patience for development now and I'm going to try my best to make this rom as great as my Galaxy Tab 10.1 rom.
first of all - thank you!!
secondly, what android version is this based upon? 3.1? 3.2? not that it matters too much.
and most importantly - do we really must have doomlord's kernel? quite a few devices here are suffering from stability issues with that kernel, mine included.
Thank you for your contribution. Hope your daughter has a quick recovery.
Sent from my HTC PG09410 using XDA
well,
downloaded and installed.
looks awesome! and in the first few minutes it feels nice and smooth.
first thing that cought my eye - the pen icon still has the 3.x look..grey. the other premenant icons are now blue, i know it sounds silly but that bothers me a bit.
i hope that the kernel will remain stable with this version.

Can this be flashed and maintain the factory kernel by removing any kernel related files like the wifi module if that DoomLord kernel does not work well on our device?

Not sure what you guys are finding unstable with it. But that's your choice to use whatever kernel you wish. But I'm not supporting other kernels or problems that stem from them at this time. So any issues that arise when using stock kernel shouldn't be brought up in this thread. The install instructions say it all.
I've been running his kernel with no issues at all for a while.
I must agree with Task. I've been using DooM's kernel since I got my tablet and I've never had any issues it runs so much better then stock kernel.

Glad it's working out for you guys. For many of us it creates stability issues and daily reboots. So I'm sure some of us would like to be able to use a custom ROM
and the factory kernel over no decent ROM at all.

[ROM] MROM-Encore [4.2.2][LINARO][CM10.1] build:20131003

Introducing MROM-encore. Custom ROM for the B&N NOOK Color
Free Yourself and Feel the Difference
This is my attempt to build a stable, complete, and fully functional custom ROM for the B&N NOOK Color completely built from source code; MROM-encore is built on top of Cyanogen ROM latest source code. I recompiled all components to guarantee maximum efficiency and performance. Along the way, I realized that I needed things to work different for the B&N NOOK Color, so I also made some changes. If you like my work, consider a donation to my cause.
MROM-encore is entirely build from source. You will see the difference when you run it. Just to list a few features:
Entire ROM and Kernel are compiled and optimized with Linaro toolchain 4.7
Superior Performance. (User benchmarks have reported excellent performance)
Excellent battery life
Multi-User Enabled
Contains all the most common tweaks
QuickPic gallery application
While I tried to maintain the main core small, size is not the main focus.

The first comment I get is negative and shuts me down... It's fine, if you think that way, however, this particular ROM has been very successful for both the Atrix and the HTC Incredible 2. Before you slam down something, you should try it first...
It's nice to know that there are still people developing custom
ROMs for the NC. I'd try it out.

While it may be stable, it still has never felt as fast to me as the cm7 builds have ( even the hw acc builds) .
Anyway, thanks op, will be trying it in the morning!

Answering my own question - YES!!!! And this ROM is unbelievingly fast. I usually run the kanged version of CM7.2 but I am totally amazed by the smoothness and speed of this ROM as compared to CM7.2. I will post further observations when I get home from work.
Well Done!
Looks like I'll have to try this one out when I get home. One thing though, your warning is not applicable to us because we don't have a phone.
Can you get Cynaoboot in there? I'm having issues booting into recovery to flash GAPPS since TWRP keeps freezing on me. Your reboot to recovery works fine, but I seem unable to boot after a TWRP freeze and hold "n" to get into recovery. Cyanoboot I never seem to fail getting in there.
So far your ROM seems responsive enough, but until I get GAPPs I can't get any apps (I really should start saving Titanium on my SD or something) to give it a good run through.

CM9 roms is just not for Nook Color, all are to slow... I used Kang's CM7 and this new ROM seems as fast, if not faster. I like it very much, only this blue style is not for me If the OP could make a classical theme, it would be great. Thanks for this rom, it's really great!

This is definitely faster than any Nook Color CM9 that I've tried and extremely smooth. Running all day and not one issue, no fc's, nothing. I'm overclocking to 1200 and undervolting using Nook Color Tweaks - battery life seems good. While listening to an audiobook AND surfing the web I am only losing about 3-4% per hour.
As far as themes, there are other themes included - just use theme chooser (comes installed with ROM).
Theme
Hey Guys,
Thanks for testing out my ROM, I just wanted to drop a note about the theme, the current theme that comes pre-selected is Mixer-MROM, which is an extension on Mixed Theme, plus little enhancements for the swype keyboard.
But if your preference is to use something else, the ROM still has the default themes, plus, the android market is full of CM7 themes that you could apply, for a minimalistic theme, my preference is Minimal Bread... it's very simple and good looking...

To the OP, thanks for the great ROM! Just installed it this morning, and except for ADW crashing once on the first boot, it's been great.
docfreed, thanks for the tip on the Theme Chooser ... I prefer a more traditional theme.
I'm not very knowledgeable about undervolting. Can you tell me what settings you are using?
Also, does anyone know of a key combination that can get it into recovery on power up? As Quantumrabbit mentioned,
it's sometimes useful to be able to get into recovery without booting fully and then booting back into recovery.
Thank you!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is still not a stable fix for hardware acceleration/video issues with CM 9/10. That kills Netflix, etc. CM7 is stable and everything works.
Thanks for the ROM, OP! Will try it out. :good:
If there's demand, I could make a flashable zip of the stock theme. The theme chooser themes are often problematic because the Nook Color uses MDPI sized pngs for the status bar in the hdpi framework and SystemUI. Also, some themes lack appropriate pngs for the soft buttons used by the NC.

Hi c1oud
You are doing everything quite right indeed. Only 2 notes to verify your procedure ...
- After installing and before doing anything, did you wait for the "Installation Completed" toast message ?
- After moving the file org.AllBacksBlack.Aurum.json file, did you boot? Just a "Hot Boot" would suffice ...
More than that I can't think of anything and you would be doing what everybody else has succeeded.
Please keep me informed.
Nice regards.

Hi c1oud
I've quite didn't understand the last part of your behavior description.
I have experienced some "lousiness" from Theme Store/Engine. If a previous theme had status bar themed and the actual doesn't, that previous remained until a necessary boot (hot boot).
There are 28 icons (main Samsung Apps) inside the Theme Package and there is the complimentary package distributed. These 28 are presented below.

Hi,
Unfortunately Samsung didn't bring their theme store to our n4 so we have to trick the device a bit. You will have to look for a ported Rom (either s6, s7, or n5) because those also have the theme store. I'm using echoe rom v26 which is a n5 port... without those steps the theme store won't work so make sure you have this covered. Next you can just follow the install instructions from OP to get ABB working.

I'm rocking the N910f but it should work on the g model. It's important that you use a custom kernel which is for your g model. Else check out Dr. Ketan Rom .. if I remember correct he has/had the g model. If you decide to use echoe it's important that you use version 26 because it's the only rom that has the theme store. Then flash the rom and before booting flash the custom kernel that fits your model.

thanks for the info. i cant decide yet. i just want a black theme without flashing a custom rom. if i cant find any way to do that, i guess i just have to flash a custom rom. compiling and decompiling apk is a lot of work. perhaps there other way to do that.

Hello there everyone my name is Jon Wesley Tranchida! I am a 21 year old android developer and lover by heart and soul and I love customizing every aspect of my android devices! That is why i am bringing to you guys my very own ROM called TranchidaRemix ROM! I hope you all will enjoy my ROM as much as i do. This ROM brings new features that you might or will both love and enjoy. This ROM is based off of ressurection remix which is 6.0.1 marshmallow. In case something goes wrong you can always leave a message on here and i will help you out! Make sure you read everything on here twice and happy flashing! This ROM can also be used as a daily driver and will be updated weekly or monthly so happy flashing
This ROM is based off of this one located here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/development/rom-ressurrection-remix-m-t3270147
Please note this ROM has only been tested on the OnePlus One and if you use it on any other device model please do not report bugs and thank you for your cooperation
TranchidaRemix ROM v1.0 Features List:
Coming Soon!
ROM Installation Instructions:
Step 1:
Make sure you have all the files downloaded from here and make sure you save them either on your phone or your computer. If you plan on using Xposed framework you don't have to flash it as its built into the ROM by default. I have many apps in the ROM that use xposed in the full version so you shouldnt uninstall xposed if you plan on using the full version of the ROM. This ROM does come with Gapps already installed so you don't have to flash a google apps package. This ROM does come already rooted with latest supersu so dont worry about flashing supersu or magisk. This ROM also does come with busybox preinstalled so you dont have to install busybox seperately. Make sure you also downloaded the latest ROM build from here too whether you plan on using the full version, lite version, or super lite version . I will try to upload weekly or monthly builds but no promises due to work and personal life.
Step 2:
Make sure you have latest TWRP Recovery if you don't you will have to flash the custom recovery with a toolkit or some other way.
Download Latest TWRP Here:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=673368273298954998
Step 3:
Boot into latest twrp recovery and then click on the install option. Select the ROM you prefer downloaded from here and now just install by sliding the install slider.
Step 4:
Allow up to 10 minutes for the ROM and all the other files to install and once you are booted up setup the ROM as usual and you are golden! Please check FAQ if you have any minor issues and if you need further help just message me on this thread or email me with my email that is in the contact section. ENJOY!

Thanks for bringing another rom for OPO
Wow another cool ROM
But sadly I think there maybe a problem with it and that's because you have included all the Gapps within your ROM.
Now don't get me wrong but I think its something to do with licence's and so forth and with rules of XDA that you are not allowed to include Gapps within your ROM.
Hopefully one of the senior mod will beable to correct me on this.
