I havent heard of that but just placed an order for this one http://shop.brando.com/Power-Jacket-For-Sony-Xperia-Z2-4500mAh_p11226c1599d3.html
Its 4500mah and appears thinner. Heard good things about Brando who have been around for a while.

Just an FYI.* I finally got the battery, touch slow for postage. Took about 3 weeks.
Anyway build quality on first impressions seems good, nice finish.*
Doesn’t have a strong click but nevertheless does connect the phone nice and secure.
I got the cover without a front flip section.
I used to have a galaxy so this phone is heavier by comparison but I’m used to the extra weight now however have to admit, this does make it a fair bit heavier.
Button on the case for charging is easy to use.
My drawback is the website clearly says data support is available but when I checked with the seller, they confirmed this isn’t the case and will be amending the website shortly.
If you can get passed the weight issue and increased bulkiness its overall pretty good just without data sync
Sent from my Z2

@Haldi4803
I have tested the battery, over all I concur that it is built well for the price (I got it for ~$20). However there are a few issues:
- The real battery capacity is approximately 75-80% of the Z2's battery. It charges the Z2 to about 80% total from full to empty so the capacity is more like 2600 mAh.
- The input and output currents are lower than what the Z2 can charge. It can charge at 0.8A and discharge at 1A which is not terrible but does take significantly more time (50% longer) compared to charging the Z2 normally.
I'm happy with the purchase due to the convenience of being able to charge the phone untethered whenever I want to prolong the built-in battery life. Usually I snap the battery in when I need to charge and take it off to charge it separately afterwards.

thx for the answers.
that seems logical you cant charge a 3000mAh battery with another 3000mAh to 100%, you will lose something inbetween.
Lucky i don't really use my phone much, so i get 3-4 days with low usage and the normal battery ^^

I'm extremely happy with my purchase price. I complained because their site clearly says data sync supported but it's not. They offered 30%. I advised still nothappy because site misleading so they gave me full refund and let me keep the product so for free it's fantastic lol.

Hello, what about charging this case?
On brando.com ist that you must charge case and phone separately.
On some Chinese pages is that you can charge case connected to phone - phone will be charge first and than case.

Got the 4500mAh version now, why? Because it's supposed to charge the device at 1A

Edit: Did a short review, you can read it here
in short:
It charges the phone from 5% to 93%.
Takes about 3hours 30 minutes

The case has a button so whilst your phone may always be connected it doesnt mean its using the case power so it never charges both at the same time. When you connect the charge cable to the case it will charge the case if its turned on or charge the phone when the case is turned off

Is it also possible to connect 2 cellphone battery's to on top off eachother and make a parallel connection?
Probably possible, but why would you want to?
Longer battery life i can customize the backcover also.
Mugen power batt are 2 expensive.
Did anyone ever tried connecting 2 batt with succes.

Everything is possible in theory my friend, but lets just leave this one at just that, theory.

Everything just points to carrying a spare - that way you don't cannibalise anything, and you can either choose to stickytape it to the back of the phone for that extra-bulky feeling you're after, or put it in a bag/other pocket when you're wearing them tight jeans...
Or you could just get one of these:
http://cgi.ebay.ph/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200585546604
$17.50 shipped gets you the battery, new cover, and a screen protector. Took about 2 weeks to get here from Singapore, but I love it.
There's tutorial about making such battery. Simply, connect two batteries in parallel: + on +, - on -, and don't connect middle terminals, these are for battery temperature. Stick batteries together and you're done!

If you sand it down nicely and use some spraypaint it wouldn't even look homemade.

Very true.. but the cell is alot fatter..
Wiring up 2 batteries to the same battery cache is problematic..
If i'm correct the x10 reads the amount of mA passed to the phone and uses the "rated amperage as a baseline"
Meaning that your modded battery might never make the bar..
Also battery burns hurt.. ask those poor bastards with psp 1000's that had to cut open the cell casing to hack their psp.
Correct me if i'm wrong.

Okz lol i don't have that much knowledge about battery's but thanx 4 the straight answer.
How much more battery life do you think you could get out of your x10 with your extended battery?
Well most extended batteries they try to double the capacity.
But connecting 2 batteries in parallel will work.. but can go wrong very fast.
if one of the 2 builds up a memory it may lead to severe heat and maybe even the dreaded gas purge "the battery start to leak a gas" followed by a loud pain inducing bang.
Go safe.. buy the battery.
I just don't like the look of the build quality of the last link, but it should give you alot more life.

No - don't connect them because it would double the REPORTED temperature. That means, if batteries are 27°C warm, OS would see it as 54°C.
wait a minute if a remember rightly the type of bettery used in this is a bizarre, from what i read they cant trickle charge. thats why they go from 100 to 91% and then back up if theyre left plugged in

QCell AT&T Samsung Galaxy S2 / SII SGH-i777 3600mAh Extended Battery

Hello guys,
I purchased one of these and so far so good. I'm running an AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II- with "ICScrewD Red Edition UCKH7" Rom
The battery is able to charge while the device is operational without boot loops.
After the first charge I ran cpu/memory/gpu stress tests serveral times during the day, kept BT, WI-FI and GPS on while on the road, streamed music, watch videos, set display to max and time out to 2 minutes to expedite discharge basically above normal use.. The baterry lasted 20 hours under those conditions.
After a second full charge the cellphone have been running on battery for 28 hours with almost 4 hours of display time and is showing 56% battery charge left.
The back cover fits perfectly. The only thing I would like to find is a travel charger for it. I bought a GTMAX charger but the battery does not fit in it. I can only charge regular size batteries on the travel charger.
Hope this helps others looking for an extended battery.

3600mah?! that's intense. Would you mind posting up a few picks to compare the thickness of the phone with that on vs Stock? Thanks
No problem. Will do once at home a little later.
Don't know if I want to trust another battery from Qcell as far as what capacity they rate it.
Bought a supposed 1950 mah battery through them and it turns out that it's really only 1650 mah. While the battery performance is on par with stock which is fine, if you buy it under the pretense that it'll get you better battery life, stay away.

Are you going to get some sort of bumper or case to go along with that? I'm interested to see if the battery door/cover from other 3000+mAh batteries would work with this one - like the one from the GT Max.
I'm going to use the SGP Neo Ex with the battery. I tried the tpu case for extended battery packs but it didn't fit. The back cover of the gtmax didn't fit my phone correctly.

[edit] gah darn you hehe =p

I figure, hmm... if there's ever a time we're(family/friends) not by an outlet for a couple of a days $20 battery would come in handy
which is unusual for this date and time so I wasn't sure. such a borderline impulse buy
This is nice for emergencies. Good buy for $20. Although I don't need it for day-to-day use. By the time I go to ebd and plug my phone in I'm still at 25-35% most of the time.
My thought is, sure you don't need it daily. Maybe for emergencies... but you have to carry it with you everywhere for emergencies, then you need to wait for your phone to charge. I would rather carry a spare battery that is already fully charged.
You can use that to charge other things also, but then again, you have to wait for it to charge. Pretty much everywhere you travel will have an outlet.
But $20... whatever, no use thinking about it too long. My .02 would be carry a already charged spare battery for emergencies.

Kmashi 9600 mAh external battery
i got this battery and have been using it for more than a month now
http://www.ebay.com/itm/for-HTC-Ama...US_Rechargeable_Batteries&hash=item4ab8058874
if that link dies you can search ebay for "kmashi 9600"
ive seen prices for the same model vary from $25 to $45 on ebay
its a 9600 mah battery. they also make a 11,200 mah version. kmashi seems to be a chinese company that makes batteries.
its not heavy, its just a little bit bigger than the rezound, and it comes with 10 adapters to charge other devices.
somehow, within 2 weeks, i was able to bend a pin in the micro usb adapter, rendering it useless. so i just charge my phone using the micro usb cable that the rezound came with
im on airplanes a lot and walk around a whole lot (walking around new york, biking, for hours at a time) and i love the battery. if i have my phone plugged into it, and the phone is at 14% or less and im playing GTA III, the phone will yell at me and say that the current from the power source is not enough to charge at the rate its being consumed. other than that, its been great
i dont mean to be rude but how is carrying around two regular devices better than carrying one slightly larger item...it seems kinda redundant to carry a battery to charge another battery, should we also carry a third battery to charge the second battery

Portable Battery Backup

I reckon Im a heavy user. 2hrs of telephone calls, 2hrs of on screen time in a period of six hours at an average.
Therefore I find it difficult to make the batt last through the day on a single charge. Since the battery is not removable I was thinking of buying a portable battery backup which I can use to charge it on the move. Have the following questions regarding the same. Please help if u can.
1. Is it safe to use a backup portable on the go charger?
2. What are some good brands?
3. Do they have a good life?
4. Any ones you would like to recommend?

There's a few different capacities available.
7000mah CPF2LS
3500mah CPF1LS
4000mah CPA2LS
Anyone had any experiences with the new charger battery packs? My 2000mah is good but takes ages to recharge for some reason. Also wont fully charge my Z Ultra - I used to use it on my HTC One X. I know there are cheaper alternatives out there but I dont trust a lot of them as I think they falsely claim certain capacities. At least with the Sony ones you'd expect they really do have the advertised capacities.
I have the one in the picture you posted (7000 mAh). That's my review on the Amazon page you linked to (the long one). So far I haven't had to use it just a whole lot--I've never used its entire capacity in one charge cycle before, as I'm pretty conscientious about keeping my things charged --but it seems to be at least close to the advertised capacity. There's a little light on it that blinks between one and three times to roughly indicate the unit's remaining charge, with three times being "good" charge. I did one time use it to add about 30% to the Z Ultra's battery, and it was still blinking three times, if that means anything. If you want, maybe I'll use it exclusively to charge my stuff for a day or two and let you know how long it lasts.

Thanks for the detailed review on Amazon Any idea what the recharging time is like on this when it is completely flat? I'm guessing if it is 7000mah then it should be able to charge the Xperia Z Ultra at least twice from flat which is pretty good when travelling or just heavily using it. Also good to hear that it outputs 2.1A for faster charging. I'm pretty sure the standard Sony wall charge only outputs 1.5A which means the battery pack should actually charge the phone much quicker. Most other brand phone wall chargers are typically only 1A - it's generally only if you buy a tablet that you get 1.5A-2A wall chargers.
The Sony battery doesn't come with a wall charger does it?
No, I don't recall it coming with an AC adapter. I don't think it outputs 2.1 A unless you're charging two things simultaneously, but it charges fairly quickly. If you're not using it, I'd estimate it would charge the Z Ultra from 0 in about 2.5 hours or so. Maybe a little longer.
