Any way to change soft keys?? - Verizon LG G3

I've rooted and installed g3 tweakbox and gravitybox. However I cannot figure out where to change the soft keys!
Can anyone point me in the right direction?? Or is there another tweak I need??
THanks!

It's in settings and accessibility I think

I know you can change them in the settings of the phone but you need to keep a solid background. I wanted to use a transparent background and still change them.

There's an option for transparent but idk what your talking about

I actually found a thread on some Italian site that had an apk that worked and let me keep the bar transparent!

Bump. I would like to hide the alarm icon. I have alarms set all the time, it just takes up space without providing any information.
I have root.

That would be awesome, I know you can customize status bar on CM but that would be great on stock. In case there is a solution by now, please let us know!
use nova launcher that can remove status bar,u can still draw curtain down,i think apex launcher also has this feature..

Gave it one star. Doesn't do what you said, only adds notifications
Did you ever find a solution? This is especially irritating considering that I installed Battery Widget Reborn and it has a more readable icon that sits next to the default one.
I have a Verizon S3, but here is what I found, just have a question...
I did a search looking to delete my battery icon from my status bar now since I have the percentage up there. I have already found the stat_sys_battery.xml file but I had a couple quick questions. (got my info from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010487 )
I downloaded 7Zipper from the market, open the SystemUI.apk with it ("Open with Zip Viewer), go to res/drawable and I navigate to stat_sys_battery.xml, the only option I get is to extract it, not delete it. Does this need to be done via a computer to actually delete it or will "extracting it" just remove it from the .apk?
Also, I have 2 res folders: 1 dated 09 Nov 12 & one dated 01 Jan 80
With that said, I also have 2 drawable folders, both with the same dates as the res folders.
It appears they are the same, but look like they have the same things in them. I guess in the end my question is, Is this the proper way to delete this on the phone or should I plug it in and delete from the computer?
Install JKay framework (link found in my signature), and then buy the deluxe app from the play store to customize it. you can hide or center clock, alarm, battery and play with it the way you want. It also contains lots of other features

In his defense, this thread is about 6 months old...Not sure if you saw the date or not.
OAE08, thank you, I'll download that and check it out. I like that idea better anyway instead of having to mess with the phone files
Edit: I see you need CWM too install this, huh? I have TWRP right now...although ODIN looks like an option.
Edit: No flash! Thanks Glebun.

Try xposed framework and use the gravity box module should be able to tweak the navigation bar how you want.
Sent from my VS980 4G using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Why don't you want to use gmd?
There's an app called "GMD auto hide soft keys" that hides the bottom software buttons. You then either tap or swipe the bottom of the phone and the buttons appear. You don't use gestures to navigate... You tap on the software keys once they appear. Then when you are done the software buttons dissappear completely.
Or where you looking for fully transparent software buttons that are always showing?

ooh ok that sounds good thanks for both of the suggestions ill try both out and see wich one i like best. ooh i messed with gesture controls and didnt like it much ..thats the only reason it..but it sounds like gmd hide is different. thanks again guys

Xposed Framework has a G2 Module on Play Store that lets you assign the percentage of Navbar you want visible. I'm running at 20% on mine and its super small but very usable.
G2 Xposed LINK
Update to 1.5 just came out, going to check it out now.

Forgive me if I am wrong, but I believe G2 Xposed is only for stock and stock-based ROMs. The OP is running CM and would probably have a lot more luck with something made for AOSP-based ROMs. I would suggest Gravity Box, it has these functions plus a ton of other tweaks that you can use as you please.
G2 Xposed work not well...

From what I understand CyanogenMod has an expanded desktop feature that can be enabled in the interface settings.

Isn't it transparent by default? Well, within apps I dont think you can make it transparent, unless you use an xposed module or something in the lines of it.

Yeah... I am asking about making it transparent within the app.
I could not find any xposed module which can do this.
Tell me if you find one.

http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.woalk.apps.xposed.translucentstyle or you can simply download gravitybox and navigate to the statusbar/navbar tweaks and then adjust transparency from there
^you can try that or try going on stackexchange and finding ways to edit the build.prop for transparent navbars.
I still dont get why you want it to be transparent though, like the buttons wouldn't be visible if you were on an app with a white background like google now.

Even though it is not visible, I know the position of the soft keys. Hence, I can still touch the correct button.
Also, the module you posted is only for KitKat.
I don't know how to do "stackchange"
Download gravitybox then

Nova launched navigation background color

Anyone found a way to make it black or transparent or anything but white after the latest firmware update? I really hate the change and can't seem to find a solution. Hope someone can help. Thanks.

I have not gotten the latest update just yet, but I've heard about it, have you tried something like Navbar Apps?: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pl.damianpiwowarski.navbarapps
Yep it worked wonders before the update, but not on the home screen anymore. It still works in apps, but you need to set it to just before black. If it's black, it fails for some reason.

So am I understanding this correctly, it is no longer transparent on the homescreen?
Sadly no. It's white'ish . ?
Hmm, is the only apps you have installed being able to modify the navbar, navbar apps?
I read about the update, and to my understanding, the only big thing the changed was not letting users pick black, and immesive mode.
But thats shouldn't change the transparency of the navbar.. Actually you can't even change the transparency in the settings..

It's called "hide navigation bar", you can find it in the download section of the app.
Without root
Is there a way to do it without a root? Like this used to work https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/how-to/getting-rid-galaxy-s8-navigation-bar-t3659742
EDIT
I think I have found a solution. Please check my later comment on this thread "https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/how-to/getting-rid-galaxy-s8-navigation-bar-t3659742/post76057934#post76057934"
yeah ive been struggling with my nav bar as well. before used to be so simple to remove it. login to the forum just to find threads like this and see if someone came up with a solution without root

Hey thx, it worked. This will do for now.
I do have space on the keyboard just like you do. Hopefully someone comes along who can fix it.

I always ended up spacing out space under the keyboard in the other older method anyway so didn't really notice. I find it's more natural to type a bit higher up.
If it's helped please do check out my thread I made on the method and thumbs it up for others
Hey everyone, I actually found a way to remove status bar completely and not have the space under the keyboard. It requires ADB so you'll need a computer with ADB drivers and us debugging enabled on your device. Depending on your situation (what kind of navigation you want to use; OnePlus gestures, Xhome bar etc) this might not work. I currently use OnePlus gestures. There's a setting you enable to remove the navigation bar but you need to give the app ADB access. You'll as well need an app to enable immersion (I use systemui tuner) The result is no navigation bar. This is the only thing I've got working well for me and OnePlus gesture app can be customized a lot.
I hope this helped, and if anyone needs clarification I'll give it.
