Create a script with Script Manager (from the market) and run it at boot (or you could put it in system/etc/init.d/ if your ROM supports it).
This is the script:
cd /mnt/sdcard/DCIM/.thumbnails
rm *.*
rm .*
This should clean up your thumbnails folder on every boot
What is the format of script file (script file.***)
Can I put the script file with root explorer?

Lol, I thought I was the only one. Just stop using stock gallery.

1GB? You have a million photo's on your sd card?
Well, I have more have 1,000+ photo and all
BTW, I Moved All my Photos on MY PC and deleted from my NEO and problem solved
delete SD Card DCIM\.thumbnails folder and use quick pic instead of xperia **** gallery...
Stopping Thumbnails
Actually there's an easier method to solve your problem without having to delete photos, if youre on linux, just right click, create a new file and rename it to ".thumbnails". Then delete the thumbnails folder on your android, and copy this file there, the result is that a folder cannot have the same name as a file, thus your thumbnails cache wont be generated. For windows users, youll have to download notepad++ application, and click on new file, dont type anything, click on save> change file type to "all types" and enter file name as ".thumbnails", Problm solved!!
SOLVED

I don't use RootExplorer but free ES File Manager app.
There you have to enable root options in app settings, which will unmount system partition (as it is usually mounted read-only) and re-mount it with read/write access.
Only then you will be able to modify something (e.g. add, remove or change a file in /system/...).
Maybe RootExplorer app also has such a root option in its settings menu.
Good luck !
You can delete any file with root explorer if you are rooted.
You just need to mount the partition to r/w.
There is a small button to mount r/w in root explorer at the top but only if you granted root to it when starting it. Only after mounting r/w you will be able to delete the apk.

chkdsk may be of help. UNIX tools (Linux. MacOS X etc.) such as dosfsck aka fsck.vfat are usually unable to fix badly corrupted FAT. However, the best solution would be to format the card (which will reinitialise the FAT) and restore data from backup.

Before this, already happened once and I tought is there's a problem with my MicroSD filesystem and after that I backup all of my data and do full format overwrite using Linux Mint and copy all of my data back to MicroSD. And this time happened again.
Any chance my MicroSD got hardware errors..?
You can check kernel log after you test your card e.g. by issuing the following command: dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk1 of=/dev/null bs=128k (it's a read-only test, superuser is required).
Did you notice any sudden reboots? Is your device overclocked and/or undervolted? These can contribute to data loss.

Sd Card write premission in Androd6?

I have been checking all android 6 rom, but i was unable to (fully) set write premission to sd Card,
For 5.1 i used XinternalSD (xposed module) ,HandleExternalStorage(xposed module)
To fully set write permission to sd Card and i can select which apps saves data on sdcard.
But in android 6 ,none of the module worked, apps like app backup restore are unable to get write premission to sd card.
Just wanted to know , is there a way to fully set write premission to sd card for the selected app and save there data on sdcard. Like (appbackuprestore, whatsapp, titanium backup, etc).
If there a way then explain briefly, becoz i want to know it , so that i could use android6.
Update-->>> Fixed with new XinternalSD and Marshmallow SD Fix. Modules!!
It can be fixed, but how??
Temasek ROM has fixed the issue, it shows sdcard1 instead of A29A-1EFC...
And also there is no permission error faced!!
Rest all android6 ROMs I have tried haven't been able to do so!
So anyone out there know how was temasek able to fix this (bug?).
I'm wondering the same...

I'm sorry tagged you here @dgadelha
This is what i mean that titanium backup can fully access sdcard (rewritable) by default in your Temasek build.

Search before posting. (also, I just saw that the answer was for a question you previously asked, and now you're asking again)

You need to do this because Marshmallow blocked the direct SD-write permission for third-party apps.

(Temasek may have allowed this manually in code)
Anything found by anyone?
I found this-> http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/fix-extsd-fix-v1-0b-2016-01-18-t3296266
It didn't work for me on sultans ROM.
But seems like the person is working on it!.
