Anybody know what font is used on the custom greetings? Want to recreate mine since I've unlocked the bootloader.

Have you guys been able to remove the normal (locked bootloader) image? It just stays there for me. Which sucks because I'm barely over the 4mb limit!

Need root right ... ??

tks

This is from the 2013 moto x forum. @jcase posted a way to extract the clogo.bmp it works the same for the 2014, I tried it and works fine. Just use the app in this thread and replace unlock boot logo with the image you extracted.

i tried to change the color for charging animation with boot logo maker but it isn't showing after flashing, any ideas?

Thanks for the great program! I made a couple quick ones for my new X.

Anyone know if it's possible to just flash clogo directly with a bmp like you could on the '13?
Edit: never mind, realized that the logo.bin gets used when you unlock

linux?
Has anyone gotten this to work in Ubuntu with Wine? If not, is there a linux app that would enable me to create boot logos for the moto x2?

Never mind. I got this to work in Ubuntu using wine. Used Gimp to edit a graphic down to size. Now to make an original logo...

Can I edit Marshmallow bootlogos? the program says "logo.bin format: KitKat"...

I have tried every root tool possible and still no root. The phone just got released so it may be awhile. The downside is I heard this phone is exclusive to Verizon, if that is the case, it may not get much Dev support... Everyone hates Verizon!

You can use @feherneoh 's Little Kernel bootloader because Lumia 52X devices have the same processors like Lumia 620 and 720(T) but I'm not sure that this really works on Lumia 620

Use my instructions to do a rollback, they only support the official digitiser (something in the display; mentioned in the main project thread). And no, if you do not have a backup, you cannot roll back.

If your touchscreen isn't working in TWRP, it will not work in Android/Cyanogenmod/Lineage. This occurs because your digitizer is not original/not official. We are not able to fix this easily because there are very many makers of unofficial digitizers out there.

Enable Custom Bootanimation [bootanimation.zip support]

After trying out a few "bootanimation.zip" mods without success I finally found one that's working.
Not my work. I just share it here for others to find a working one easy
Download approprate zip according to your androidversion.
Hunt down your favorite bootanimation for your screen resolution.
Flash the "bootanimation support zip" and your "bootanimation.zip" in recovery
and enjoy not seeing the boring samsung logo being drawn upon boot.
Tested and working on SM-A310f marshmallow rom, but probably works on other A-models as well.
Bootanimation.zip support
Read the whole OP before flash, and give him a thanks if it works.
Thanks for sharing.

DualBootPatcher for Moto C Plus {Use 2 roms at a time}

DuelBootPatcher for Moto C Plus
to use 2 roms at a time
Download app patched for Moto C Plus
App Link

How to use the App?
Install The App ..and grant root access
Swipe to the right to open the menu. Click "ROMS". Now if this is the first time you use it, it will ask you if you want to set kernel. Do so!
After it has finished go to ROM Settings (primary ROM 3 dot menu) and select Update Ramdisk. It will update it and will ask you to reboot. Press Reboot Now, or Reboot later.
Now Download any ROM you like and open the app again and open the menu and open Patch Zip File from the menu. Ensure that your Device is set to (yourdevicename) and under Partition configuration select secondary/dataslot (will install 2nd ROM in /system) or data slot.
Click continue and select where to save the patched file.
You should see the file is being put in "Queue". Just click the confirm button to the upper right. Note: If you want to go back, just swipe the ROM in queue to right and start over.
The app will patch the zip. When it done, go back to "ROMs".
Click "Flash zip files" (the big pink button on the lower right). Click the pink plus button to add your previously patched zip file
Locate the file you have patched in step 7. Unless you have changed the name there, it should be something like ROM_name_partition_config_ID.zip (like RR-N-v5.8.3-20170707-cheeseburger-Unofficial_dual.zip).
Click on that file and choose "Keep location". Now confirm the flash with the button on the upper right side. Note: You can also install the patched zip files in recovery.
It will now open the terminal and begin flashing the file. This requires some patience. After it has flashed the file you'll see success message in green.
Now click back and you should see your newly installed ROM along with the Primary ROM. Note: You can find more options by clicking on the three buttons on each ROM.
Now reboot and wait till finishing 2nd ROM first boot. install DualBootPatcher apk so you can easily switch ROMs, there is another way to change ROMs: flash DualBootUtilities.zip and switch ROM manually.

[BOOTLOGO]Custom bootlogos; dark variant included!

I'm working on custom bootlogos for our pretty little Moto X4, thanks to @caitsith2 and @AvenidaDelGato. To start off, here is a dark bootlogo, with bootloader unlocked warning disabled (of course). I'll be updating the thread to post new bootlogos regularly. Open to requests and suggestions!
To flash, boot into bootloader mode and run
Code:
fastboot flash logo x.bin
where x is the name of the downloaded bootlogo.

Can I flash bootlogo images with the bootloader UNlocked?
(My excuse for such a noob question: I'm experienced with changing bootlogos on boot-unlocked and rooted phones. I usually unlock and root phones right away. My X4 is still under warranty, and I want to keep it on stock for Pie upgrade. I'm comfortable using fastboot and adb over usb connection.)

This is boot logo, not boot animation.
During booting, boot logo is loaded first from logo_a/logo_b partition (depending which slot is active). Then, boot animation is loaded from /system/media/bootanimation.zip.
bootanimation.zip is made up of multiple images that are displayed in sequence to form an animation.
boot logo can only contain a single* static image, it doesn't support Animated PNG format (AFAIK).
(*technically, the logo partition is made up of multiple images, each for different situation/scenario. Since only one image is displayed at a time, hence no animation.)
Black theme boot logo is outstanding, thanks!

I could successfully change the boot logo. But after updating LOS 16 to the latest version the old boot logo again appeared. This might be related to the A/B partitions. How can I make sure the modified boot logo always appears? Just flash it again on the 2nd partition? Thx
