it might but it would kill your battery since we dont have a cpu dedicated for voice recognition like the moto X

The cpu is not equal to the Moto X (1st Gen)?
Was it possible to use the "always listening" on Moto G 2013?
Where can i get the apk or do i need more than only the apk file?
Greetz and thanks a lot for help.

i dont know ill look into it... but no our cpu is nothing like the moto X, the moto X had 3 cpu for use for the device i think and one that was a low powered cpu that was in charge of always listening to the hotword without hurting battery much... we dont have that special cpu and it would most likely drain the batttery quicker.
edit: If you really want to try it there is an app called OpenMic+ that allows the same thing as moto voice, also there is one called touchless notifications i think both are free so if you want to try it out... but there again we dont have a super amoLED screen or the special cpu so dont say i ddint warn you about your batteery :b

Goodbye s5, Hello Moto X Pure

I would still be rocking my s5, but the recent problems with freezing overnight and the top quarter inch of the screen going unresponsive unpredictably (and no solve anywhere--I tried everything) I have given it up. I picked up a Moto X Pure and will now be spending my time on that forum learning how to deal with Marshmallow and its quirks. Thanks go to all the s5 ROM devs who made the s5 so great while I used it, and all the helpful folks here who responded to my questions and helped me out.
I'm sure you will like a mostly stock experience over TouchWiz or the need to install a custom ROM

Any Moto Mod Developers?

Title says all. I'm a prospective Moto Mods developer, so I'm kind of looking for Moto Z 3D models that I can 3D print and stuff... Also, the Android Studio workflow is a bit confusing with Moto Mods.
Good thought, but I think this mod would be very heavy

Double-twist to launch Camera?

I am using Moto X Pure 2015 and the double-twist to launch camera feature (called Quick Capture) is very convenient. However my phone is dying and I am shopping for my next phone. I learned that Nougat dropped this feature in favor of double-click the power button. Is it possible to achieve the same double-twist to launch camera feature on any Android phone or am I stuck w/ Motorola?
Thank you!
Same here. Dying Moto X PE, Pixel 2 XL on pre-order, and still want twist for camera and shake for flashlight. What is the best way to get those features on my new Pixel? Thank you.
