Well, i can test, what if the phone will boot, and will enter recovery and after SuperSU flashing will boot and work fine, can this kernel be use for every day ?
---------- Post added at 10:20 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:19 AM ----------
And, is there possibly to kill the phone forever with this test kernel or not ?

yes it can be used for everyday use bcos
the zImage is purely stock.
It wont damage the phone bcos only boot partition is being flashed. it can be recovered easily by flashing stock kernel from stock ftf.

Looks like we have root for unlocked bl Everything, looks like, working fine.
Please, sorry for the non english language screenshots.

But u can try flashing boot image provided in this thread 1st as frm i can see DennisDD78 device is D6603. but safest is by providing ur stock boot. im not sure if Z3 Dual has slight diff kernel.

[ROM][D855] get a taste of aosp...

Hi my friend... i really want to see how aosp based rom will run on our phone
This is a simply port of devianxone rom builded by $droyds$ for the tmo version with a kernel compiled by me from intervirgilium github.
1- set up the TWRP
2- reboot in recovery ( will start fastboot ) and boot into recovery;
3- make a backup;
4- factory reset;
5- install the rom zip from sdcard ( where you must had copy the rom );
6- reboot recovery ( so you will be again in the fastboot mode);
7- do this:
Code:
fastboot boot boot.img
8- enjoy the speed
all credits go to @$Droyds$ for the rom and to intervigilium for the kernel source
DONATE to @$Droyds$ for his work
Download the ROM
Download the kernel
The rom is still bugged so don't report anything, it's just for testing purpose.
O.O don't you need the bootloader unlocked ?

Thanks for providing this rom for the G3 community.
For the sheer sake of security, it would be better to add to the title the model this rom is intended to.
This way there will be les confusion among the users, particularly those who don't read the entire thread.
Thanks

If you follow the guide on the TWRP thread i linked you can make a backup and, after the test, restore everything.
Wow ?

I need not say, because each kernel is assigned to each rom, so if the kernel is .28 is suitable. 28 for rom!
test due at risk, since the chance of something is minimal

[GUIDE] Helper zips to switch between OOS 3.0 and OOS 2.2.1 firmware

At the moment we have rather dfficult situation because custom ROMs based on AOSP (such as my AD which is not yet public) require previous OOS LP firmware, while OOS 3.0 includes new MM firmware which breaks both older recoveries and custom ROMs.
As I need to switch between OOS 3.0 and my AD quite frequently, I created two helpful flashable zips so I can do that easily, and because it's useful for me, perhaps it'll be useful for you too.
Download: MM | LP
Instructions:
- Download the firmware you want (or both, if you want easy switching)
- Unpack downloaded zip, you'll find firmware-update.zip and recovery.img inside
- Put both of those files on your phone, in appropriately named directory such as "firmware-LP" or "firmware-MM"
- When you will need to do a switch, simply firstly flash firmware-update.zip, then flash recovery.img as recovery image via "flash image" option in TWRP
- Reboot to load new firmware
That's it, this way you firstly flash chosen firmware version, and then TWRP recovery that works with it.
So if you have two TWRP backups - one of OOS 3.0 and one of CM13.0, make sure that you have proper firmware (and recovery) after restoring backup - LP for CM13.0, and MM for OOS 3.0.
Situation should soon improve (when OnePlus pushes kernel sources, and MM-based ROMs will rebase), but until then it's wise to keep both of those firmware + recovery combos on your sd card, so you can do a switch without any problem on as-needed basis.
Hope it helps. Try to be careful with those, if you mix up wrong recovery with wrong firmware you'll need to flash proper recovery.img variant via fastboot. You can't hard brick anything by using those files, in worst case soft-brick if both your recovery and your ROM will be for wrong firmware you have.
Have fun.

ok so i will explain you when you download that file you have to unzip it and then you will have a folder with another folder (if you choosed unzip in archidreoid etc.zip so inside that folder you will have the necesary files (view the attached screenshot) you will have to pack them in a zip file
hope it helps but try to download the latest file to do that cause last time i tried the oneplus2 archidroid there were things that dint work such as ad filter

[Fixed] Regarding fixing the brightness issue(high contrast) on CM roms in SGSD

We all know @corphish and @LahKeda built awesome roms for SGSD.
Everything has a good and bad side;so do our CM roms.
While they're fast,debloated and amazing with @psych.half 's kernel,on the other hand there's a high contrast issue on them which is a big pain for us.
This bug first appeared in ZD Kernel by @corphish(Stock modded by cleverior.ipul was ok).And after that,on every rom.So,maybe this is a kernel related issue(guess).
The phone screen seems okay after every reboot(not softboot).But after turning the screen off for the 1st time(after reboot),problem kicks in.
Contrast level gets too high that sometimes we can hardly see what's going on the screen.Eyes hurts really bad when we increase device brightness.
@corphish @LahKeda
I already tried using screen filters eg-screen filter apk,darker apk,but still its not like the stock.U know u can't fix a broken window with some tape :'(
Kernel Tests and Result ---
Only Stock mod by cleverior and Basic Kernel don't have brightness bug.
Can we do anything to fix it?
Edit : Fixed
As @corphish told...
That's a firmware issue.
@dabakale @LahKeda
That's how I fixed it.
Downloaded Pre-rooted Stock by @Chirtagh from here .
Wipe everything from recovery including Internal SD(for a clean install).
Extract that file and flash the tar file using ODIN.
Then flash cm 10.1 over it and there will be no contrast bug!
Contrast bug is a well known bug for mint2g, but honestly speaking I myself never faced it.
It surely is a kernel thing and I think it also depends on firmware. @psych.half did spot some display related changes in various kernel source releases, but since those releases are tarball, its hard to know which source goes with which firmware.
Anyway speaking of me regarding firmware, I always used the latest firmware that was available. I was on XXANF3 (firmware name must include NF) and on them I did all sorts of stuff, flashed various versions of CM ROMs on it.
I am not sure whether you can still get the firmware or not, but if possible, flash that first using Odin only and then flash ROMs.

thank you for your reply, sir.
I will try and report back.
Oh,one more thing,
Isn't XXANF4 is the latest firmware available for us?
@BatDroid I've never faced that issue before so try what corphish said and tell us .
@BatDroid u r right
i have already tested every custom ROM
the problem kicks in as and when the cpu enters into deep sleep after fresh reboot ( i rebooted 20-30 times to confirm this )
what is ur point of view?
is taking logs in that period would be helpful?

as LahKeda and corphish telling that they never faced that issue, so I think flashing latest stock firmware worth a try.
I haven't flashed yet.Currently I'm running out of data and wifi.
It may take 7-8 days to test.

[MOD][5.1.1/6.0.1] MultiRom for Samsung Galaxy J5 (2015)

Since @EsromG5 and @SoUnd001 started to work on nougat booting in both firmware...
I just did ganesh varma's multirom works in mm bootloader using @vaserbanix 's tutorial https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j5/how-to/tutorial-to-replaceing-original-kernel-t3543167
Edit: using aroma LP/MM by Zonik, now it work in both firmware too.
ganesh varma's thread/tutorial https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j5/development/mod-multirom-samsung-galaxy-j5-t3521449
THIS MOD IS NOT TO ROMS THAT NEED LL BOOTLOADER INSTALL IN MM BOOTLOADER (vice-versa)
Example of combinations in mm bootloader: any rom that need mm bootloader(stock rom, aroma roms, other custom roms) as primary rom (normal installation) WITH mm bootloader custom roms, nougat roms(soon) as secondary.
-In case of aroma roms as primary, u must use AROMA twrp to install the aroma rom then install multirom twrp and multirom.zip to install secondary roms.
-To install two or more aroma roms u have to:
1-install the rom u want using aroma twrp
2-install the multirom twrp and multirom.zip and move the primary rom to secondary
3-install aroma twrp, wipe everything except external card and internal storage
4-install multirom twrp and zip again
DOWNLOADSJ500 M-F-FN-Gworks fine in M, FN model, but i need testers to other modelsMultirom.zip

I mean, the link to TWRP goes to recovery.img and recovery.tar.md5, there's no need to download both files, only needs to share recovery.tar.md5.
Both files will only confuse users, share only recovery.tar.md5 with public link.
