Immersive Mode? - Huawei Ascend Mate 2

One of my favorite updates that came with 4.4 was the ability, via xposed, to force immersive mode on specific apps. I know this is a 4.4 feature. I was wondering if there were any successful attempts to use an immersive mode xposed module on the HAM2. I have the US model (stuck with 4.3).
Or, at the very least, has there been any progress on making the nav+status bars 100% transparent? The transparency settings in Gravitybox don't do the trick.
Thank you.

There is a post in the General part named How to Hide the Grey Nav Bar on HAM2 Using Emotion UI Settings
http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-mate2/general/how-to-hide-grey-nav-bar-ham2-using-t2886725
This can partially do the trick you need.

To utilize gravity box 100% transparent nav bar you need to change this in your build.prop
Code:
ro.config.hwtheme=0

I guess I should rephrase. The transparency with GB works but only on the homescreen. I'm looking for something that would maintain transparency in apps or would allow for immersive mode on a per app basis.

Which version of xposed and or gravity box do we need to use in order for this to happen, I changed the build.prop btw

Yeah this is good for the homescreen, but the problem I'm looking to solve is the wasted space in games and such. Immersive mode is such a great innovation for 4.4 devices. I just wish there was a way to replicate that functionality on the AM2.

Wanam Lidroid 15 Toggle Mod request

Hello I am not sure if this is right place to ask but here goes.
I am using DXLJ2 Novena Alliance Rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2014135 and I believe that it has the Wanam Lidroid 15 Toggle Mod baked in.
Wondering if it would be possible for the 15 toggles to have links to other apps besides the flashlight?
Apps I find myself using on a semi consistent basis are screen filter, hovernote, aircalc, and calendar but it would be great to link to any app installed.

I think I know what you desire, only I haven't seen anything like that in the notification window.
However! There is something you might be interested in. In the new releases it's called pie. There's third party apps you can install now though. Check out this app called pie and this forum post called LMT. You should be able to install one of those and you can set the triggers or gestures to open various apps!
I hope that helps ya out a little.
Thanks for the reply! I have yet to try pie, I think I would have to use a different launcher, other than nova to enable pie control?
I am tempted to try it, as my current setup is nice but I running around 600MB of RAM out of 720MB

and am constantly clearing the cache to improve performance. I found turning off background processes, setting limit to none, as well as forcing graphics acceleration helps considerably.
On my next set of days off, think I will do a refresh and give LMT a try.

Has anyone figured how to disable the NFC icon in the shade? It's getting crowded up there.
Thanks
Drew

Turn off NFC. ... Seriously, that's it on stock.
You can flash custom ROM and choose the International setup and it'll be gone. There's also a mod to make to hide it from view. But again requires root and deodexed ROM.

I think you knew that already tho, just want to disable the icon? I guess follow what he said ^
I know I can disable NFC. But that is not what I'm looking to do.
I want to keep NFC online while only disabling the appearance of the icon in the shade.
I'm familiar with custom roms and the fact that international versions do not have this icon, however I'm looking to maintain my stock att Os
I currently do have root and am using Xposed framework for system modifications
Thank you

Okay, then this is going to be your best bet. This is the mod I mentioned. It does not make it completely gone, it only makes it invisible.

so you don't get any space back in the status bar, the NFC symbol is just completely transparent?

Right, no space back in the bar. I hate the icon too. :/ I hope someone comes up with a better solution.

[MOD][2.3+] Remove "Downloaded Only" banner from Play Music (PMDOR)

Simple module this, removes the "Downloaded Only" bar from the top of Play Music, which can be annoying when you're offline and turn it on to avoid greyed out albums and unplayable songs
Doesn't remove the drawer option, so you can still turn it off there.

This no longer works on the latest version (5.8).
Updated for material version (sorry for the delay), I'm pretty sure it will still work on Android 2.3 but am not totally sure, if anyone can test that would be great
New icon too:

It doesn't remove that bar. It removes the banner you get when it's turned on.
Grey Bar on bottom of screen
Hey man, love your module! But there is one thing that is kind of annoying me, after turning on Download Only mode, a grey bar appears at the bottom of the screen, assumingly the same size as the removed "Download Only" banner. Don't know if this is replicated on every device but it is on mine.
Thank you for this fantastic module! I was just wondering if there are any plans to also remove the "Get Unlimited Music" banner that was added in the latest update. Thanks

Hey man just a heads up that the update to GPM today broke your module, hope you can fix it. By far my most favorite module.
Yes, on the new version the text is removed but the bar still remains.

Replacing Lollipop navigation icons -» with xposed module, quickly and easily

Hello guys. A couple of months ago ffalete and me prepared a xposed module it LG G3 to a telephone. We did not like us Lollipop navigation icons, so we wanted to return to the old KitKat icons. I thought, if it works, this method is LG G4. I do not have such a phone, so I could not test. But a friend (Nagytoll) of mine helped me , and so we were able to test it. And yes, we have seen it work. And since it is a module, if you do not like something or not working well, it can turn off...
Three sizes are:
size "A" = Big
size "B" = Middle
size "C" = Small
One at a time (1) module is active or installed. Tested: Stock rom and Genisys Rom 2.1.

Currently only KitKat are icons, but soon to come:
Biohazard icon theme:
N51 icon theme:
Snake theme:
and much more....here you can watch the themes.
Any comments, tips, ideas, bugs, please write me an e-mail: [email protected]
Note: In this module, so we can put icons as you want. Need to add a little bit of knowledge: using Adobe Fireworks and use apktool. That's it.

Xstana is work on Lollipop? In this I was not sure / do not know. In this module, it is even good that it can do custom navbar icons. But, thanks for the tip.

Xstana isn't working properly on my LG G4 H815, it causes lag when using status bar and nav bar themes. It makes the app menu unable to open and I can't access apps through ROM Toolbox, either.
it opens but just takes very long.. dont know the reason why...
Sent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk
When using only nav bar, it opens after roughly 10-20 seconds. When using both, it doesn't open or it takes so long I've been too impatient to wait longer I'll try only status bar later, but I've stopped using Xstana for the time being.

g-visual mod for full screen under 11

Anyone got this magisk module working (or any other full-screen mod) under 11 on the 4a? Would love to use the notch area when using various reading apps (including Chrome)!
bump? I'm looking for this as well, g-visual made me bootloop.

Yeah, still looking lol. Let me know if you find anything
It seems to be working now but I'm still not able to get full screen reading in Chrome and other apps due to lack of a proper immersive mode. This app seems to work but a bit kludgy:
Fullscreen Immersive - No Ads, No Root - Apps on Google Play
Fullscreen immersive mode in applications or games

I had a look into this today, and it appears that the area across where the hole punch for the camera lies, which also acts as the status bar, can only be used if the app itself is modified for this. I *think* i saw one app that extended into this area.
Using the following coode, one can set immersice mode for specific apps. I tested on A11 with no nav, and all it did was change the colour of the status bar. But it was still there. I also tried an app that has the option to hide the status bar, and I think it hid the clock etc, but the area reserved for the status bar was still unused.
The commands I played with were:
Code:
settings put global policy_control immersive.full=diamondjohndroid.utility.temefi;
settings get global policy_control;
#start the app, but only status bar colour changes
# undo the change
settings delete global policy_control;
Naked browser uses status bar without immersive installed
