Yep, I wanted to make kernel that fits to taste of many users
OTG is thing that I'm planning to implement too, but I have pretty busy schedule (mostly school) right now, so no time

Its second day of use of your kernel and my phone become a bit laggy. Not sure if other users also facing this issue.

I don't know, nothing like that for me.. But I'll try to make more optimizations in next release
BTW, I started working on V2, which will come with more optimizations, revamped governors and.. probably more

Wonderful. Very much excited.
The best achievement.. It saves battery then regular cm kernel.[emoji2]

Nope, for CM10 only as sources for 10.1/10.2 weren't released

I tried it on miui 5 rom and it doesn't support.[emoji19]

Great work! Finally a CM kernel. Unfortunately I can't use it yet as my power button isn't working, and I need S2W, so for now I'm still on vimiro. Hope you can manage S2W soon

You have to release your source codes for complying with GPL. Else, this thread will get closed.

Why is the file size so big?
It includes an uninstaller so also packs the stock boot image and corresponding modules. Plus the Aroma installer adds to the size. Essentially the actual kernel is only ~7.5 MB

How to use gesture wake?
The necessary toggles are located at /sys/android_touch
doubletap2wake > 1 to enable
> 0 to disable
orientation - This will allow you to set in which orientation Sweep2sleep must be enabled
> 0 for both
> 1 for portrait only
> 2 for landscape only
pwrkey_suspend - If set to 1, pressing power button to turn off screen disables s2w/dt2w and pressing the power button to turn on screen re-enables s2w/dt2w
> 0 to disable
> 1 to enable
shortsweep - Allows the Sweep gesture to be shorter.
> 0 to disable
> 1 to enable
sweep2wake > 1 to enable
> 0 to disable

Are you planning on releasing a version that doesn't use Aroma? I don't see the point in using this Aroma as it just adds an extra burden (and size!) on the user having to work their way through the install process - I simply want to click on the zip and it installs, job done.
Thanks anyway for the kernel as its always good to see new things being developed for the Flo.
Looks great, will defiantly give this a go and report back, thanks!
Edit: Installed with Mahdi ROM and its running beautifully, looking forward to further releases, thanks again.

The AROMA installer is a place holder. Additional configuration will be made available later. Also, it is easier to uninstall the kernel if necessary.

Why only 3.4.10 and not 3.4.9x?
The one thing I've always hated about Aroma is tweaking the settings after, always seems to be overwritten or just not sure what is being set.
Will give it a go.

Kernel 3.4.10 works best in my testing. Upwards introduce changes I am not very comfortable with as they tend to cause some battery drain. At the moment, I do not intend to go further than that.
The aroma will only be a helper of sorts. I will be releasing an app to help configure the kernel soon. Right now, the aroma installer just flashes the kernel. Everything else is default set in the kernel.

Great Battery life and like its based on 3.4.10 seemingly dont see any battery decreasing issue...
Max 1.5Ghz lowest 384... Undervolt -75 CFQ 1792 ReadAhead.... (Y)
Can't seem to change the min CPU from 918. Getting around 2350 in benchmarks with stock settings, plus 1.7ghz high.
Sent from my Kang'd Nexus 8 (2014) using Franco kernel. My mobile is a Linaro & SM CM11 run Galaxy S3.
Could you possibly include faux sound control,, I know Franco's is in the kernel but could there be q choice between the two in aroma?
Faux is much better, that would be a great option.

Disable MPDecision boost. That will allow you to set a lower min. 918 is MHz is only for the boost period. It pulls it back at other times.

Good to know :victory:
Does it has features to disable dt2w/s2w with power button?
Had some issues with AICP. wanted to test both and report. I had screen lock up and some shuddering when multitasking.
Hard reset and just wiped and flashed another ROM.
Any ideas. I used same process as with Rastakat. Thanks
Works fine with mahdi. Please add support for battery LED always on.

It seems that the zip patch does not work well (i think) with some ROMs.
Since it's based on AOSP sources, with just 10 library files inclusion.
Usually if I see a ROM saying it's upgrading packages (as if we're flashing newer ROM) I know there'll be a lot of FCs.
Seems I'm not the only one.
What do you think, should we continuing releasing this method (advertise with CM ROM capable) or enough with AOSP.

Shouldn't be the problem, next version
Hey Tectas, would it be possible to implement GPU undervolting?
Since the GPU seems to be the reason why the G3 gets warm so easily while for example in Chrome (tried to freeze the CPU clock at 300mhz -> still gets warm, tried to set the GPU clock at 200mhz -> no more warming up), I think you could save a lot of battery here.
I couldn't find a gpu governor/max clock speed that's battery friendly and won't cause stuttering every time I do something.
Hey Tectas could you please support D852?

-Better performance and battery life.
-Undervolt.
-Default configurations for better ROM compatibility.
Installation:
-Download CyanKernel.zip from HERE
-Install it from TRWP or CWM
-Reboot
ENJOY
I won't overclock kernel because overclocking will reduce battery power and uptime.
I recommend Kernel Aduitor app on google play.

I recommend intelliactive governor for better smoothness. Because no apps are running on background. I will add few governors on v1.0.1
Overclocking
I am thinking overclock for heavy gaming in next versions. Do you think overclock is necessary ?

Yes this kernel for CyanogenMod 13.0 and derivatives (based cyanogenmod 13 roms etc.). I didn't test it on Stock ROM and Omni etc. but i guess if you install to antoher ROM (except CM) it will bootloop.

Just let you know, I flashed it on an (almost) pure AOSP rom (Krexus, to be exact) and it booted

1. Open terminal emulater
2. Type "su"(without quotes) and grant root access
3. Type "svc wifi disable"
4. Type "insmod /system/lib/modules/wlan.ko
5. Type "svc wifi enable"
Now your wifi should work. To avoid doing this on every reboot make init.d script for it
init.d script
I don't know how to make a init.d script plzz make it for me otherwise tell me the steps this trick is working thanks
Very nice:good:

Extract and copy 01wlanon file in system/etc/init.d and reboot. If it doesn't work automatically after reboot, you will have to execute the script manually from Kernel Adiutor
Thanks brother it worked for me
