Hi,
recently I purchased a Sony Xperia Z2. Despite only having it a few weeks the side flap which protects the sim card/charging port has fallen off and is now missing. I need my phone as I'm going on holidays, so rather than sending my phone away I'd like to purchase the part to fit on myself. Trouble is, despite checking everywhere I cannot find this part for sale. My question is, does anyone know where I can purchase it?
I saw lots of flaps on ebay and witrigs has them as well.

I saw it some weeks ago and looke for it at eBay but I only found some cheap gray plastic covers. I didn't found anything. Not even a official cover from SE. I'd like to know if it really exists. I think that buying a chrome paint spray will be more quick. ;-)

I do not think that the chrome paint would give such a result as in the video. I found a man here in Russia that sells metal cover. I'll try to polish it =) And still want to find the original)

I bought the cradle for the XV: okay but expensive for what it is, including shipping from Asia...
Now, I'm looking for one cradle for the XZ tablet, but I don't want to pay $$$s for that, nor to order it from Japan.
So, I'm thinking about building one by myself, possibly using the one of XV.
The question is: the cradle has 2 big connectors directly in contact with the device. Do you think that I can "burn" my device if I swap them when connecting to the XZ?

i guess no..it won't burn if you accidentally switched the two connectors...
+ve at the top according to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2300444. Why risk switching the polarity?
just bought my gf an unlocked Z2 on ebay. i want to get her a solid case so this thing doesn't get dinged/scratched up. doesn't seem to be too many on amazon. thoughts?

it is made out of nice materaial, iit gives premium feel when you touch it, and easy to clean. only thing i don't like is no magnetic thingy on cover

The link works fine for me. Its 9 bucks a pop, they do have other colors, but they are all shiney (mirror effect).
Yes. It's mirror glass screen and back protection glasses
Be very careful, it cracks very, very easily

Does this still show the Sony logos on the phone? If not is there a see through one with just the pattern? I saw someone posted one a while ago they said they got theres from a local shop but I couldnt order it because of location.

I saw loads of these once for Xperia z. I did order one for my Z2 once but it never delivered because I was informed they dont make them anymore. If you Google image rasta banana Xperia you will see loads of them appear. Try checking aliexpress though. You will most likely find what your looking for there. :good:

If you scroll through the link provided above theres links in there to buy some. The prices say around 340 Taiwanese dollars so dont be alarmed if they seem pricey theyre not. For this one it costs around £8-£10 including shipping. This is my favorite one but I dont think I will buy it since I already have that carbon looking one, also because im getting a case soon and I wont see the current one I have im just using that for protection.

I ordered the checkered skin for the back. Will take some pictures when I have it on my phone but probably won't get it till after the holidays
This skin feels really high quality. Kinda messed up on the installation tho. Had to reapply it cause it wasn't align right so you'll see some dust underneath thru the pictures. The only negative is that it doesn't go all the way to the side of the phone since it curves (which they explain). Quite a big gap. That will probably throw a lot of you off but it looks and feel really nice in person
