Vendor package file
Hello mate, can I ask where to get vendor package. I downloaded the stock firmware from your Googledrive. Thanks for that but it asks for vendor package after loading the entire thing when I try to install it (B148). Thanks

Do you have an unlocked version or Consumer Cellular version unlocked? Are all these flashable on the CC version without altering system partitions? I am nervous to update any of them due to compatibility issues. I currently have the CC B132 version on it.

I have unlocked version of CC which I am using on T mobile. Also the bootloader is unlocked. My current build is B126. Should I try to install stock firmware for B126? But what would I achieve? I was hoping I could update my firmware.

according to chinese site, put dload folder in the root of your sd card which contains update.app rom file. I suppose you need stock recovery too. press hold vol + - keys, then power on.

I don't think so. I remember modifying something before I was able to install xposed but can't remember what. I have uninstalled some stock apps though but I don't think that's a reason why I shouldn't see the available updates. I created a thread in the past asking for methods to convert my consumer cellular version to stock ROM but didn't get any conclusive answer. I'm still on consumer cellular ROM and I'm still eager to convert to the stock ROM.
Check the screenshots attached.

I deleted CC stock apps which then the OTA fails to update. here's how to revert to stock,
1. revert to stock recovery
2. download MT2-L03V100R001C421B132_Firmware_UnitedStates_Others_Android4.3_EMUI2.0Lite_05012KQB_AsanFile.Com in this thread, copy the dload folder to the root of internal storage.
3 shutdown the phone, press hold vol + and - then power on. your phone will revert to CC stock B132, after that you will be able to flash latest OTA no problem.
4. Optional, once you get the OTA, reinstall TWAP, then hack your way again!
thanks for posting stock roms to the thread owner.

TWRP recovery.
I built this upon request from another member, but has never revisited the original thread to test whether it works or not, so I have no idea if it does or doesn't.
I asked him to supply me with the stock recovery which he didn't so I have grabbed it from else where.
I don't own this device, so it's up to someone to test and report:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59963360&postcount=8
If the version above doesn''t work please try the one below:
TWRP-286x-n9100
Sorry none of the recoveries will boot up. All of them get stuck at the boot to recovery screen.
Even the stock recovery didnt work. ON another forum I posted the stock recov ery image as well as the modified cwm that would boot but wouldn't flash anything.
I'm using the 5.01 hong kong update from Sammobile for the sm-n9100.
Heres a link to the stock recovery from the firmware.
And this is the modified CWM that boots up but doesn't flash anything.
Hmm.. reminds me, I made a version myself..

Did you use the Hong Kong recovery? It may work now that he has flashed the Hong Kong firmware and bootloader.
I don't know what it is the Chinese do to these devices, but they always seem to cause issues.
I haven't had the time to look at it again, so hopefully your version will work.

It's a TWRP recovery with a modded default.prop/build.prop.. and it is based on the values from the N9100 recovery posted above.
I tried all three and every time it would either not boot or got stuck in a bootloop.

Hi all
TWRP is working for me
N9100 HK Lollipop firmware.
Found it in a rusian site.
I'm not owner / creator of this method/recovery
I just google, found and it worked for me
0. backup! backup ! backup!
1. flash via Odin any CMW based recovery and reboot
2. flash this kit via odin "Modem, Bootloader, TWRP for v5.x" N9100ZHU1BOC4_Modem_Bootloader_TWRP.tar
3; reboot
voila!
Obviously it's for lollipo so if you don't upgrade to lastest firmware from samsung, don't try it and dont complain
I will not post the link to the site here because the guy in this site is "selling" his custom roms; I disagree with it

So there are now two newer versions out there, the latest only has an OTA no kdz, and if you flash it as is you will loose root
I suggest wait until there is a method to keep root and flash the latest, which I'm sure will be soon

L is the latest, if you want to flash j right now feel free
There are two Roms by eliminater74 and one by andy_zahng
For any of these choice you do not need LGup, so long as you are previously rooted
Just flash firmware (part one) via TWRP
Then flash any of those three Roms via TWRP
Reboot,
You will have j rooted
But being i tend to recommend a full wipe i would say wait until the latest L is out in a flashable .zip, should be soon

[help] How can I upgrade kiw-l21c432b160 to android 6

I need to install Android 6, but I can't seem to find a firmware upgrade that matches my version exactly.
What version is safe to use? I'm completely new to the android world, so I'm completely lost…
The closest I've found is a file named "Honor 5X_Firmware_KIW-L21_Android 6.0.1_EMUI 4.0_C432B330CUSTC432D001_Denmark.zip" but according to the PDF included in it I should only be used with versions:
KIW-L21C432B130CUSTC432D005
KIW-L21C432B130CUSTC432D006
KIW-L21C432B140
KIW-L21C432B300CUSTC432D002
Mine is kiw-l21c432b160.
Is it safe to use this one? Do you have any idea where I might find a suitable .zip if not?
Thanks for the help

Yes, now I'm starting to understand all these version numbers. My end goal is to install LineageOS, but I need MM first.
So now, I've switched back to Huawei eRecovery instead of TWRP, and tried two different firmwares (before B360 because apparently it prevents installing LineageOS), that were "validated with my IMEI". Settings>Update>Local>Reboot, installation starts I'm about to cry tears of joy and then around 15%, installation fails with no further details. I can then shutdown and reboot to my good ol' lollipop. Not sure what to do next...

I still have the same lollipop firmware my device was bought with. I don't think I have US variant. I brought it from (Amazon France)[https://www.amazon.fr/Honor-5X-Smar...d=1508409802&sr=8-2&keywords=huawei+honor+5x] and I am in France. The product title says it is unlocked but I had to do it myself.
I'll try your link as soon as I receive my SD card, because apparently it is required for this method. I still have this file from an older download, but was scared because a PDF file included in it mentioned it should be used with B140 and did not mention B160, but now that I've flashed a stock recovery meant for B140, this doesn't scare me anymore.

Be warned; this update is ONLY for SM-G930A firmware - it has a second-stage updater that blocks all other versions (including SM-G930T, which I myself tried). In other words, it is a carrier-specific update, folks.

If it weren't for this being a daily driver, I'd consider it. However, because it is, that's not an option. So I'll have to wait for either a neutral version or one that will work with the SM-G930T.

stuck at file analysis. Or do tar images just take a lot longer?
so this may be a silly question, but my att s7 is currently at Baseband Version: G930AUCS4APK1 and on Android Version: 6.0.1. When clicking software update, it always tell me there is no update available so I've been stuck with this.
is this something I can download and install via Odin?

Quick update, I tried to install it and it failed with all the Odin versions I had, but then I used the "Odin3 v3.13.1_3B_PatcheD" version, and its working like a charm now finally I'm out of that 6.0.1 and at the latest!

i don't think at&t updates phones if your sim card is from another carrier . you will have to flash probably nougat first then oreo. at&t files are scarce but if you search here at "AT&T Samsung Galaxy S7" forums to see what you can find. you might have to go through a whole series of flashes before you can get oreo though. Alternatively, you can flash G930U firmware from sammobile just to get to about BRA1 or so then start flashing the most resent at&t files posted here or you can just. You could also just stay on g930u. If you are with at&t you should call customer service or go to your nearest retail location. if you've never used odin you should look up on youtube how to flash

You can download the firmware that i posted and go straight to Oreo update with no problem just make sure you backup eveverything and if for some reason you can always go back to Nougat since u can rollback
Update to Oreo
Hi guys,
I have g930aucs4bqe1 version can i do the update directly?
Hi
My actual baseband version is : G930AUCU4BQF3. I can't update via OTA update because I live outside US (no AT&T sim) so I'm stuck to that baseband version. My question is do I need to update to the latest update of Nougat or can I update directly to Oreo with these files. Thanks
