lollipop launcher not working ?
trying to download the lollipop launcher. I tried three diffferent launcher (lollipop) links. I could flash the zip successfully, but when i come to the part of choosing a launcher (the lollipop launcher) (after clearing the default setting for the current launcher) i dont find lollopop launcher in the list to click on it. But i do see it in the app drawer.
Weird issue.

It happens. Just reinstall it or reboot the device. This would take a few tries though

Try going to recovery and wipe cache and dalvik cache too and then reboot. Are u saying u refuse to try nova launcher or u just havent tried? If so im sure u have a good reason. But trying it for a minute might work. If these dont work u might try reflashing rom. What steps did u take in recovery before flashing current rom?
Sorry for late reply. I actually lost my account infos.
Thanks for your help. Nothing worked for me and I had to change my phone.

Round (google apps) icons are not displayed correctly after upgrade to 7.1.1

Hi,
after upgrading to Android 7.1.1 I realized, that some of the Icons inside the appdrawer/homescreen are not displayed correctly.
With Android 7.1.1 round Icons were introduced. Some of the Icons are just fine, like Maps or Google+,Google keep etc., while other google apps (like playstore, inbox, drive, gmail etc) are round, but they have a white space around the icon which has shrunk in size.
These Icons normally should be displayed like the first three I mentioned.
This problem seems only to be appearing with google apps. There are apps which are not displayes as round, but that is okay since they do not have a round Icon by default.
The issue can be seen on the attached screenshot.
after updating I did not do a hardreset, which supposedly fixes this issue, and I do not plan on doing so at the moment.
I am looking for a solution, which does not force me to do perform reset.
I am thankful for every clue I can get to solve this issue
Hopefully I can be understood, since english is not my first language.

You can reset your system. After that, all icons will be shown correctly.
Maybe you can try wiping data and cache from your Launcher.

A reset is not an option at the moment. That is why I am looking for another solution. I already wiped the cache and data from the launcher (nova) and google now launcher, which I do not use.
It seems that the settings (how the Icons are shown - maybe another cache) for the stock icons are stored elsewhere.
Furthermore I already tried formatting the cache partition from recovery mode.
Hm, the last idea: Try changing the icon pack in nova settings, maybe reboot and revert back to system icons?

Unfortunately that did not work either

install nova launcher?

thinking of buying from carphone warehouse in uk - can i install nova launcher on it?
Again, this is the only way atm, install Nova launcher first before you delete the Oppo launcher.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=79618339
I didn't delete the oppo launcher and installed nova launcher just fine from playstore.
Anyone found any dark theme yet.
Did it stick as the preferred launcher then?

Those who can't change the default OPPO launcher are the Chinese versions. Those who can change are the one with the global rom versions.
Global Rom
Does anyone know if a global rom variant is available yet, if so please provide model # , don't want to end up with Chinese ROM..

CPH1919 is the international model.
Nova works fine, my only complaint is that the navigation bar is white on the Google feed and occasionally when swiping between homescreens. Not a problem for folks who prefer gestures.
I can't use gesture options in Nova launcher it does not allow me even after giving the admin rights
