Hello guys, I put S5 v7 from sunajkram23 on a S3 I9300 with official JB 4.3; I lost my network connection, I put the boeffla kernel 6.0, and tried with boeffla modems, but I haven't been abble to fix the phone and I'm not sure if I'm doing this right.
My baseband is I9300BUUGMJ3, My imei (I don't have the number on the back) is apparently correct, and I can see the 3 mobile operators but when I choose mine, it says Unable to connect try again later. I tried reading threads in here and other websites but no solution yet, so please someone help me hehe.

first i downloaded the russian firmwire from this topic

i did all the steps , i rooted the phone with this ; Siyah-s2-v6.0b4
when i tried to change the csc didn't work i get to the dial pad with code *#272 ....
and also the mobile data not working
can u please help
i called my provider and they give the settings and i did everything correctly i saved a new APN but nothing hapend

Change kernel to SIYAH V6 b5 instead.
Then try to find better MODEM as above mentioned.
See if you Activated 3G or just 2G
Hi Everyone,
I am typing this query under severe worry about my galaxy s3.I am dying for any help experts would be able to provide please.
I had 4.2.1 stock ROM installed on my s3 and im a very frequest visitor to xda for custom roms.
I downloaded the Android revolution 40 ROM for S3 and installed it after taking a backup of my stock ROM using recovery
When i booted into the new 4.3 revolution i was getting the error " not registered on network".
I searched the threads here in xda and did everything like ariza patch and flashing mg4 modem but even now the phone was not able to register to network Airtel
the most strange part is i get full signal,I have baseband and also IMEI still it doesnt connect to network
now the most strange part.If anyone calls me they are able to get the ring but im not getting any notification and the phone is idle.
I tried to search for network from mobile networks but it gave msg as "error when searching for network"
I took the phone to Samsung service centre and they told me they will reinstall 4.1.2 and it will work
I waited for 2 hrs and they told me its done.I put the simcard in and again i have same "not registered on network error"
Im sure they dont know how to sort this issue and the only thing they did was reinstall firmware which did not help
Im very afraid now that my mobile is permanently gone and i feel very bad for this
I hence request the experts to help me and bring my device back to normalcy which will releive me of stress mentally.
Please help ASAP.

Many thanks for youre reply.
Today i got a call from the Samsung Service Centre that they are unable to fix the "netowkr not found problem"
They told me that there is some problem with the motherboard and it will cost 9000INR which is approx 155 USD to change the motherboard
They told me that is the only way the phone can get the network back and there is no other option.
I read your reply and I will download stock 4.1.2 from sammobile and flash with odin at home and flash the patched MG4 modem today.
That is my last hope as i cannot afford 155 USD for the motherboard as it is 1/3rd the price of my mobile.
They din charge me anything and gave my phone back.they have installed 4.1.2 stock I9300DDEMG2 modem and build number I9300XXEMH4.
I will post tomorrow what is the stauts of my phone.

Hi Everyone,
I would like to inform you all that finally I have revived my S3 and it recognizes the network now.
I flashed the patched modem on my stock Indian firmware and my IMEI became 0049....
I found out that my SGS3 was bought in UAE by my cousin and hence i downloaded the 4.1.2 stock UAE firmware and flashed it.
Again no signal and no network
Finally as a last step before giving up i again flashed the patched modem and restarted the phone and it connected to network
My baseband is back,IMEI is back to normal,able to connect to network and everything works now
The only glitch now is that the serial number is 000000
I dont think it affects the phone in anyway.
Aslo one more question,can i update from OTA software updates in Samsung or again my phone will have "no netowkr problem"

OTA updates only available to unmodified handsets, running unrooted stock rom, recovery etc. All this and more is in the general forum, sticky threads -go read them.

My phone is S3 i9300 using a C-rom 7.1
Modeom: xxugmk6
I have problems in my network i don't have b4 on stock
Most of the time when someone call me it said that not available and while usibg mobile data it closes the conection several times.
The same problem i have in slimkat rom too.
Is there any fix?
NB: when i upgrade to stock 4.3 i used patched modem and kernel to fix my network problem.

Hi guys, im new user on creating posts lol, im from latin america, so my English its not very good, well, i have a problem with my Galaxy Xcover 2 GT-s7710L, when i flashed the official rom (downloaded from sammobile) from chile, jelly bean 4.1.2 (S7710LUBAND2) i was getting normal results, everything was right, but some days later, my mobile data (only internet) stopped working, so i thought that it was some problem of the rom, so i tried flashing the guatemala rom (S7710LUBAMC2_S7710LTFGAMC1_TGU) and when i go to the phone info, i realize that i have the base band XXXX, but my imei is right, and my mobile service is working, only my mobile data (internet) is not working, and i didnt find any info of how to solve this problem of the baseband, i tried extracting the tar.md5 of the official rom and only flash the modem with odin, and there is no change, if somebody knows something about how to solve this.

i have a international galaxy s3 i9300 32gig
and i'm using it with official 4.3 roms and custom MIUI rom based on 4.4.2 without problems
but. when i upgrade it (clean flash) to any custom 5.x or 6.0.1 roms usin TWRP 3.0.2.0 + open gapps, there is NO network and SIM card registration
what should i do?
i tried 2 or 3 different modems on my phone, still same problem

yeah mate, imei is corrupt in every cutom rom when i install,cm10, cm11, cm12 and cm13.
only in stock roms simcard registration and network and imei are corrects and works
Hold up, so you are getting the CORRECT (same as under your battery) IMEI number in Stock roms, but in custom AOSP/CM ROMs you are getting invalid IMEI?
after a lot of flashing roms modems etc, now i'm on cm13 rom by temasek again,
my imei is correct [same as under battery] and i have network now, but it's very un-stable and weak and some times no network, i tried a lot of modems, but still same,
my live area is Middle East
can anyone suggest me a way for a full stable network?
