[Q] SIMcard register & Network problem after update Android from 4.x to 5.x or 6.0.1
hey guys
i have a international galaxy s3 i9300 32gig
and i'm using it with official 4.3 roms and custom MIUI rom based on 4.4.2 without problems
but. when i upgrade it (clean flash) to any custom 5.x or 6.0.1 roms usin TWRP 3.0.2.0 + open gapps, there is NO network and SIM card registration
what should i do?
i tried 2 or 3 different modems on my phone, still same problem

it works, i tested , try changing browsers or dowload with phone ,with wi fi, that works fo sure

yeah mate, imei is corrupt in every cutom rom when i install,cm10, cm11, cm12 and cm13.
only in stock roms simcard registration and network and imei are corrects and works
Hold up, so you are getting the CORRECT (same as under your battery) IMEI number in Stock roms, but in custom AOSP/CM ROMs you are getting invalid IMEI?
after a lot of flashing roms modems etc, now i'm on cm13 rom by temasek again,
my imei is correct [same as under battery] and i have network now, but it's very un-stable and weak and some times no network, i tried a lot of modems, but still same,
my live area is Middle East
can anyone suggest me a way for a full stable network?
my modem now is I9300UBUGNK1

Rooted, installed cwm, flashed new room.
After dialing a number the call stays only a few second and than disconects. It says out of service area. Than when i try dialing again it says mobile network not available.
Cant find the stock firmware anywhere, even on sammobile firmware list.
I flashed 3 different rooms and the same problem with calls.
Where can i find the stock firmware for S7562GSMH? Or any other solution for custom rom.
I tried PMP_Ultra_ROMv1, PMP_Light_ROMv7 and KOR-Release-340. Same problem.
i've got the same problem... did you managed to find a working firmware?
where the hell is SMH anyway? I bought my phone in Malaysia, but I believe it was an import phone.

OK, I got it working with this stock ROM.... S7562XXBMJ1
Ensure baseband is same or higher
Many ROM developers specify the baseband you should use while flashing the ROM. Always ensure this is same or higher to that. From my personal experience higher baseband worked for me. Also, ensure formatting of cache and dalvik cache.

My phone is S3 i9300 using a C-rom 7.1
Modeom: xxugmk6
I have problems in my network i don't have b4 on stock
Most of the time when someone call me it said that not available and while usibg mobile data it closes the conection several times.
The same problem i have in slimkat rom too.
Is there any fix?
NB: when i upgrade to stock 4.3 i used patched modem and kernel to fix my network problem.

Hello guys, I put S5 v7 from sunajkram23 on a S3 I9300 with official JB 4.3; I lost my network connection, I put the boeffla kernel 6.0, and tried with boeffla modems, but I haven't been abble to fix the phone and I'm not sure if I'm doing this right.
My baseband is I9300BUUGMJ3, My imei (I don't have the number on the back) is apparently correct, and I can see the 3 mobile operators but when I choose mine, it says Unable to connect try again later. I tried reading threads in here and other websites but no solution yet, so please someone help me hehe.

I bought a used factory network unlocked S3 i9300
it had 4.1 , i downloaded 4.3 from Samsung-updates.com and i flashed the stock recovery and stock firmware using odin (i downloaded the first one "GT-I9300 NZC I9300XXUGNJ2" (i think because my phone is not tied to any network operator i cold choose any firmware)

every thing went smooth and good now i have android 4.3 but the problem is that when i call a number i get not registered on network
i'am confused why is this happening ?
i had seen some pages on the web that say root the device and install custom recovery then flash a modem file...
i dont want to root my s3 , and why the hell it is not working and i'am using Samsung stock firmware why do i have to flash a 3rd party stuff to make calls working !!!
note: the IME after update is correct
Hi guys, im new user on creating posts lol, im from latin america, so my English its not very good, well, i have a problem with my Galaxy Xcover 2 GT-s7710L, when i flashed the official rom (downloaded from sammobile) from chile, jelly bean 4.1.2 (S7710LUBAND2) i was getting normal results, everything was right, but some days later, my mobile data (only internet) stopped working, so i thought that it was some problem of the rom, so i tried flashing the guatemala rom (S7710LUBAMC2_S7710LTFGAMC1_TGU) and when i go to the phone info, i realize that i have the base band XXXX, but my imei is right, and my mobile service is working, only my mobile data (internet) is not working, and i didnt find any info of how to solve this problem of the baseband, i tried extracting the tar.md5 of the official rom and only flash the modem with odin, and there is no change, if somebody knows something about how to solve this.
