Microsoft Office Mobile - not allowed - Galaxy Note 4 Themes and Apps

I find it pretty stupid and annoying that Office Mobile is not allowed on our Note 4s. This is one of the best phones on which to use Office Mobile. I know that it is not yet supported on tablets, but this isn't a tablet. I guess they are making a conscious decision not to support phablets? I wonder if there is something we can do to convince Microsoft to unshackle the app. I know that there are other office apps, but honestly, nothing supports office docs better than this app, in my opinion. I need it for work.

WHY is anyone using skyfire? It's a portal site that simply reformats to fit your screen. Sure, it's "free" now, until the beta ends.

I love it... I don't normally use it, but I love being able to. Some sites are much easier to use with it. Not to mention that there are a few flash sites that I like to load on it (for the audio).
Would I pay for it? probably not.... at least, not much. But I have no problems using it while its still free.

You might want to cut this conversation right there or you're going to get in trouble here on the board. Try a google search or an other forum. XDA doesn't allow this kind of stuff...

Discussion of warez are more than frowned upon in this community, so you should end this discussion here and now. However, regardless of the possibilities, Copilot has an activation system that is tied to the phone, so go and buy it because it is *fantastically* cheap for what it is!

Yes, Copilot downloads the maps to SD card, so you do not have to be data connected to use it.
On a recent trip from Portsmouth UK, to Alicante ES, Copilot performed so well that I didn't need to use the dedicated Navman unit I was planning on using - which is good because it's route was some 4 hours quicker than that offered by Navman, and proved to be an eerily accurate estimation!

Dave

In short: Yes it can. With internet connection you can get additional services such as traffic data etc.
EDIT: Here's their website: http://www.alk.eu.com/copilot/android/
Here's a youtube video review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCkSsf85PX0
PS. Please support the developers and buy this app. It's quite an amazing navigation app and it is not even that expensive as the other ones tend to be.

If you have bought an app through the Market then it will remember it forever. That means that you can install it as many times as you want. For free.
You will not get any other answer from me. Although there is other answers.

well, because some of us can't buy apps, Checkout not supported in my country, so i kinda have little choice....i need a good docs app, i need editing, i am open to suggestions on how to get it and what are my free options
why dont u try GDocs? Syncs to your google docs a/c and u can add new txt files and have it synced to your com and finish the editing there. better than nothing.
GDocs (Free app)
please DONT steal copilot!
I am also in a country that can not buy apps. That is no reason to steal from developers who put their effort in building an app that is really worth its money. I used market enabler as advised elsewhere on the forum and that works just fine!
Seriously, I bought copilot and have not regretted it any minute. Though some people complained about the support, I went through the support when I could not download it immediately (credit card validation pending, another google problem) and they answered me (after one week, when the problem already solved itself, but that shows that they are getting busy and that is a good sign). To me, copilot is the kind of app that demonstrates the possibilities of android as a business model.
So bite the bullet, and see for yourself how ridiculously cheap it is for what you get!

What do you mean "legit," if you mean the lag, that's likely unavoidable, using a phone adds another set of software where a legit webcam has only hardware.

Google Drive is Online

Not sure if someone started a thread here yet but it looks like Google Drive is online.

I guess they replaced Google Docs with Google Drive on Android... Its not a whole lot different than Docs was so far, except the widget is gray and not blue.

Those nicknames sound about right, and remember, computers are suppose to magically work. There is no back end servers that manage everything, it just works.
My drive isn't available yet. The funny thing is that I was interviewing with Dropbox a few weeks ago when this was rumored. During the second interview they asked "what feature do you think could completely revolutionize Dropbox?" my answer was the ability to store media and stream it to your devices, they said it was a good idea but would probably create problems with the DMCA/MPAA/RIAA/any other four letter asshole groups or laws. I just saw on G+ today that someone mentioned this was a feature and when I asked them about it they confirmed it worked!
I have a feeling that once this matures, Dropbox is going to lose a fair amount of users.
Have you guys seen the verge article? Basically, they could possibly use, modify, and profit from what you store in the gdrive. I went ahead and downloaded it, and it works pretty well. Just waiting to see how Google responds to the complaints. I dig google, and all the stuff the put out. Just sayin.

Not nearly as bad as the headlines we are seeing.
Source:
http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/news...rive-files-now-in-googles-promo-materials.ars
"As it turns out, the company claims no ownership—it says so right in the terms of service, and a comparison between Google Drive's terms and that of other storage services turns up few material differences, except for a couple of questionable terms that may land your content in Google's promotional materials."
Just got mine activated today, it's neat, but nothing mind-blowing yet. The only thing that is awesome right now is if you upload a video to your drive you can watch it on a mobile device.

There's a little trick to "forcing" activation. If you have 2 google accounts on your phone, download the app and keep switching between accounts in the app and it will activate. Did it yesterday and it worked. I now have 2 active accounts 10 minutes after signup.
not really liking drive though..or the app I should say. Lacks image thumbnails and can't create folders. To view an image it takes time to open where dropbox is almost instant and you can swipe to next pic just like in gallery. IMO, dropbox is still the winner. But I'm sure its only time till those issues are addressed.

+1 for Evernote.
From a syncing and editing perspective, you'll be hard pressed find a more seamless app.
Google Docs + Google Drive is another alternative, though involves more than you'd probably like simply to take and sync notes.
Personnaly, I use JotterPadX, which is really great for taking notes, and supports sync with Dropbox !

Welp, when you make the commitment to using a phone that runs an O/S highly dependent upon making use of Google services and integration, you choose to accept that more often than not, many apps and features are going to be considered overkill.
"lol".
1. No one is forced to use Google services on Android.
2. I prefer apps which follow the "one tool - one purpose" paradigm, and I've been able to find a lot of them over the last few months.

Agree with you, we don't have to be Google slaves. Google knows almost everything but that's not a reason to say " Ok Google, spy all my data with all your services ". There's a lot of apps which are maybe less performant, or with less features, but which respect as much as possible our privacy.

Not sure where you assumed I insinuated that anyone is "forced" to use Google services, and equally puzzled as to the rude nature of your response. Particularly considering that I was in agreement w/ you on using Evernote AND agreement that Google Drive (amongst other services) are in fact overkill. My response to your resistance to using Google Drive was simply that Google and overkill go hand in hand.
The "facts" are that Android, though open source, has a fairly solid Google footprint. Most users are aware of this upon purchasing an Android handset, and are equally aware that Google makes a concerted effort to integrate as many services as they offer as possible. Conversely, most of us XDA'ers are quite aware that we can minimize Google's footprint w/ 3rd party apps and other modifications.
That being said, none of this was the point of the OP's thread. He simply asked a question re: an app, and expected an answer. Not a debate over whether or not privacy is compromised.
In any event, and to avoid the risk of hijacking the OP's thread any more than it already has been, I will respectfully bow out of the conversation.

How about this? This would work better on a phablet/tablet with a stylus though. It would probably give you the best 'writing down in a notebook experience' if that is what you are looking for.
OP, Do you have a Samsung note? Great note app unfortunately is proprietary t Sammy Notes w/ sPens.
I also use Google Keep for simplicity. Love my Google Drive. Don't care about Google's KNOWITALL theory some suggest here. I also have a tough time with EverNote, of which I consider overkill, but that's just my opinion.
