To change the language on your mobile device, from the Home screen, touch Apps Menu key > Settings Settings Shortcut > Language and input Settings Language Icon > Language.
To change the language on the Gear 2 (if no mobile device is connected), from the Clock screen, swipe to the right to access Settings Watch Settings > Display Watch Settings > Language.
**My language is greyed out on watch it says to change on mobile phone

Can you please check for me if you see Hebrew on gear manager??
I want to buy it ..... And need language support
Thanks

There is Hebrew ON the Gear S itself. It is after all the Latinized languages. I can see almost every language there.
Settings > Language & Input > Language.
I can see all the Cyrillic languages, Greek, Hebrew (in Hebrew script), several Arabic script languages, Indic scripts, Chinese, Japanese, even Thai, Myanmar, Hangul.

Hi,
Thanks for yours reply .
So it support Hebrew on keyboard only ??or also the watch menu ?
Thanks

It probably has a lot to do with where you bought the phone. US carrier versions almost always strips out language stuff from its ROM. Besides, if you bought any of the US versions, it is practically useless outside the North America as it lacks bands rest of the world uses.

Thanks for the help, I hope that someone can fix this via registry tweak in the next few days.
I installed it and everything worked fine :s but I had to uninstall it because ti didn't have Spanish xt9, and I need it daily, but the app is well made.
spanish xt9
I think you have spanish XT9. You only have to change registry key.
The keyboard is complete with I think 5 or 6 languages.
Was same with german, first you can´t select german, only english and italian. after changing registry you can select between 5 languages.

What registry change did you do to get it to do that? Thanks
really nice keyboard - recommend it, it replaced my other touch keyboards for some reason but much prefer this one and actually use just the qwerty, forgot about changing from ita to eng which confused me for a while.
great I got all the languages to work, and they're AWESOME. The XT9 is SOOO fast! But now my hardware keyboard doesn't work !!! Can anyone get it to work? I see a very VERY superior XT9 for some reason. So fast, and responsive (at least on the touch screen version). The Hardware keyboard doesn't work for me I'm on Tom's Rom.

The touchscreen keyboard works like a charm, the hardware keyboard, which I imagine was not thought of when it was copied over to us, doesn't work. It only gives you the "what you see button is what you get" meaning that you get the letters for the extreme right and left buttons, but not the center buttons which have numbers written on them. That's our current predicament.
No one has gotton this to work yet ?

Hi,
It does not work on my HD2 with original O2 ROM.
Maybe i will therefor ask some stupid questions.
Can it be adjusted to count only outgoing calls?
is it possible to give some restrictions like only complete minutes?
Can it also count and display sent-sms?
Is it possible to count 2 different sims, I think here about dual sim.
Thanks
This program is awesome! I love it! No more checking for my bill!
Is it ok to cook this into a ROM?

[Q] How to add a keyboard dictionary language

Tried searching and all I found was an unanswered post from 2011.
How do I add keyboard dictionary languages to AOSP based roms? (miui.us and norwegian in this case.)
Settings -> Language and input -> Settings icon right of "Android keyboard (AOSP)" -> Input languages.
In Norwegian that is:
Innstillinger -> Språk og inndata -> Innstillingerikon til høyre for "Android-tastatur (AOSP)" -> Inndataspråk.
Hope it is the same for you as it is for me, and best wishes.
Hi.
That's for setting the language I guess. But my ROM only contains the dictionary for US English. I want to add the missing dictionaries.

I don't know how to be more specific. My ROM does not contain the dictionary I want. The question is not whether I can select keyboard languages or not, but as the topic states: adding a language. Not selecting it.
Edit: Example: I select English and Norwegian. Only the English keyboard auto corrects or makes spelling suggestions.

Hmm, the only solution I know is to select highlighted menu below. Accessible by pressing the button highlighted in the previous post, but as you have already selected multiple languages, I assume you know.
May I ask what ROM you are using, and if you could post a screenshot of your menu or something?
Rom is miui.us and it looks pretty much the same as yours as it is aosp based.
The language selector shows most languages and they are selectable but the Rom itself has probably been cleansed for this kind of bloatware.
Question is, is there a way to sneak in some kind of language file or something?
Sent from my HTC One S using xda app-developers app
I guess there is, but I think it is far easier to install a custom keyboard. SwiftKey free is available on Play Store, and SwiftKey flow beta is available on their site (also free), you can search on xda.

I'm using the Chinese keyboard in English on my Xperia Z Ultra 6802. I can make it left hand, right hand or full side to side in portrait. In landscape it fills the screen side to side. The information you have quoted is inaccurate. It has one hand support. I have also used Swiftkey tablet with the split keyboard in landscape. The Chinese keyboard has other options such as handwriting recognition, phone pad for text input everywhere, English, etc.

That's interesting, I didn't know cos I'm using other keyboards that allows me to quickly switch between various languages.
Was this immediately available prior to the .471 firmware update?
The above article was based on their hands-on experience back in June when they were invited by Sony though (The review site also claims that small apps wasn't available at point of review too). I'm thinking it could have already been updated because this website hardly goes wrong (and if they do, it's usually corrected quite fast).

The Sony Xperia Z Ultra has a Japanese keyboard as well as the Chinese keyboard. The Chinese keyboard changes from English to Chinese and vice versa by pressing the En or Cn key. You can change keyboards quickly in status bar if you mark input selector in settings so input selector shows up there. All the keyboards have dictionary support.

Yes I'm aware, but it's quite a hassle to keep changing via status bar. My conversation involves changing between the 3 languages and at times in a single conversation/mail I need to use 2 or all the language together, so I'm not fond of constant switching via status bar. Smart Keyboard Pro has a language switching key that allows me to instantly alternate between the 3 languages
For the moment, you only can use small keyboard by selecting Xperia Chinese keyboard.
The International keyboard not support small keyboard yet.
Xperia Chinese keyboard - supporting English input as well.

Where's the Fleksy keyboard?

So where's the Fleksy keyboard that was highly publicized to release with the Gear S? Can't find it in Samsung App Store...
Some even said it would come with it because of the partnership between Samsung and Fleksy.

The fleksy keyboard is pre-built into the OS on the Gear S, and therefore you won't have a download for it.

So where's the Fleksy keyboard that was highly publicized to release with the Gear S? Can't find it in Samsung App Store...
Some even said it would come with it because of the partnership between Samsung and Fleksy.

Where did you find it? I'm unable to locate it. I need a keyboard for typing that has a + sign.
