[Q] about sim/network lock

hello guys
im new to here and im come from china . and i want to buy a xperia P for euro market . when i search in taobao (alibaba Group subsidiaries.let the people to B2c.like ebay) the sales tell me the xperia P for euro market have sim/network lock.is ture?
please give me a hand and i will waiting the answer come in
thank you for read and help!!!
If you buy one unbranded smartphone, it will not have any sim restrictions and the bootloader will be unlocked.
If you a phone to any brand, most likely it will be sim/bootloader locked, depending on the smartphone and the brand, but, some brands still sometimes sell unlocked phones (more expensive then the locked version).
So, in my opinion, you should buy one unbranded phone, therefore in the future, you will be able to change the bootloader and use any sim card.

Unlock Galaxy Note 2?

My son bought a Verizon Galaxy Note 2 at a yard sale. Turns out he needs a Sprint-branded phone, so he's going to try and sell this one. It is currently not activated, not under contract, does not have any outstanding payments against the prior owner, and has a SIM card.
How can we "carrier unlock" it so that he can sell it for a higher price?
I know you can unlock it by using some apk's but that info its on the Sprint Galaxy Note 2 section, this section is for Verizon Galaxy Note 2
Phones is like 4-5 years old, you arent going to get much more outta it....its more of a bonus if it is rooted and unlocked bootloader, not carrier. People buy Nexus brand phones for that (+ others)

Which of these devices is the most development-friendly?

Hi guys,
I'm thinking about getting a monthly plan from a local carrier. The plan offers your choice of a bunch of different phones. The phone I choose will be replacing my Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016 edition).
I will mostly use the phone for texting and Spotify, but I need the phone I choose to be as dev-friendly as possible. This means no locked (or very easily unlocked) bootloader, painless to install recovery like TWRP + root. Because after I root, of course I will be installing apps like Titanium Backup, Viper4Android, etc.
Here are the devices I can choose from the plan:
Sony Xperia XA Ultra
Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime
Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge
Samsung Galaxy A7 2017
Moto G3 Turbo
Moto Z LTE
Moto Z Play
LG Stylus 2
Huawei P9
Huawei Mate 8
Huaweii Y6 II LTE
Lenovo Phab 2
Now of course I can search and search the XDA forums to see how much support each model has, but I am hoping anyone who reads this thread 1: Owns one or more of the devices I listed, and 2: Has experience in rooting / modding them.
Thanks! <3
Edit: I realize that the carrier may or may not pre-lock the phones, but ignoring this, assuming I wanted to buy one of the above devices with cash and not on a carrier plan, which should I go for as far as dev-friendliness?

Recommendation for AT&T phone

I switched from Verizon to AT&T a few months ago. I have used Motorola (droid2, droid4) and Samsung (GS5) phones in the past. I rooted all in the past primarily for filtering ads, but am now unlimited so it's less critical in a way, but still a primary concern (not worried about exceeding my 4Gb anymore, but hate the screen being filled). The issue is, I have a Galaxy A10e now and it is apparently not rootable on my carrier. I am looking for recommendations for a new handset.
I want a small phone (142mm or less tall, typically <5" screen) and something that can be rooted on AT&T. Modern would be preferable obviously. I know removable battery ship has sailed, but SD is a must.
I don't know about root, but the phones I have looked at on GSMArena are:
GS5
GS7
S10e
A40
A10e
J5
Sony Xperia XZ2 compact (probably my top pick but can't find anywhere)
Any thoughts?
Perhaps I posted this question in the wrong place. I can repost or it could be moved. Either way, this seems like a simple question: what small Android phones are rootable on AT&T network?
