Installation Instructions:
Installation Instructions:
1. Boot into latest recovery
2. Wipe everything, even your butt (that includes data, cache, system)
3. Flash
4. Flash Google Apps (if you so choose)
5. Flash SuperSU
6. Reboot
7. Report bugs to us so we can fix them

FAQ:
Why does it say that I am resources are busy or in use? I've unmounted (and tried mounting) /system and /data...
Recovery says this because the script tells it to mount system and data even though they get mounted automatically. Therefore when it tries to mount it and it is already mounted, it gives you that warning. Its NOT an error. Just let it finish and it finishes successfully, then you should be all set.
How would I go about rooting the ROM in its current state?
Download the SuperSu Beta from HERE!
Boot into recovery and flash
Reboot and profit!

Wow, of course, downloading, thank's
I will try BETA-SuperSU-v2.27 and report is everything OK.

Let me know... Because none of my testers have gotten back to. Me... But flo boots and runs great

oh yeah! bout freakin time!!
downloading..... :highfive:

Bootloop for me, clean everything, try to install without gapps and super Su, same problem, stack on Android boot animation over 10 minutes, any suggestions
Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

will not boot hangs on Animations android

::bootloop:: :d

Well I will say it does sit there on the boot animation for a while on flo. Can someone get me a logcat please?

oh sorry dude... already back to old rom...

No problem, and sorry guys. I make a habit of NEVER posting anything I havent tested yet, but it works perfect on my FLO so I assumed it worked on DEB. But, you know what they say about assuming. If anyone is any good with adb it would be awesome if you could grab me a logcat. Just out of curiosity, does it sit on the boot animation or the boot logo?

I'll make Logcat late tonight, I'm very busy right now
Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

Hangs on final stage of load , if you supersu aftef install , it hangs on app update
BTW, any HowTo for logcat?

animated android logo loop and adb offlined on boot.
Code:
$ adb devices
List of devices attached
094d1850 unauthorized

tried to install the rom.
after install of the rom without gapps, the nexus doesnt boot.
what to do?

I dunno how to logcat, but wanted to report that it stays at "ANDROID" word forever.

downloading...
anyone have a problem on YouTube? sometimes cannot load videos..
happened to me lots of times.

Still no luck , hangs on booting on the latest build

Does this build work with multirom.

omni doesn't have it preinstalled at all, link is in the op
if all goes to plan this will be an official omni rom, and inb4 cyanogenmod questions...yes i'll apply fixes to cyanogenmod too.
Going to upload a second build shortly with ALL the security fixes in, which should have been applied ages ago, which are missing from Cyanogenmod and all the rom's which use this kernel.

next build is up and changelog is in the 2nd post.
if you want superuser you'll need to flash it between each rom flash, i need to get TWRP sorted for the X+ so you guys can queue up the superuser to flash after the rom flash.
KERNEL IS NEEDED TO BE FLASHED in the new build
let me know breakages and so on.

Your call, shouldn't need one though.
IF everything is buggered with a dirty flash, then full wipe and see if it's all still borked.

Im not so good with this kernel stuff and I have been searching some but cant make any sense of this forced encryption that OP talks about. Just to make it simple could someone who knows maybe list the kernels that are safe to flash from, that wont wipe my device if I flash this. I for example am still running 4.4.4 with Boeffla kernel and I have searched his thread and read around on his homepage but cant find the answer. Im sure im not alone in being grateful for help

All Kernels are Totally Safe to Flash on this ROM. It's Just that If You've Enabled Device Encryption on Your Phone, The ROM's Kernel Will Wipe Out Your Entire Storage.
(Hint: If You've Never Heard of Device Encryption, You Haven't Enabled it and its Totally Safe to Flash the Kernel of Your Choice)
Thank you for making this multirom compatible. :good:

Thank you. I never bothered with messing with kernel settings, I often find the stock setting in the kernels to work best. Thank you for clearing this up for me.
F2FS supported?
While I download this. Can someone comment if this is multi rom compatible. If yes will this need to be primary (issue with cm). Once again. Thanks for this ?

Awesome More roms for our old phone thanks
Managed to get it to boot, but as @Troubadour666 reported, it freezes after no more than a minute, so still we are not able to test at all. Wifi is apparently working, but baseband is missing here aswell.
Great work @sooti .. Thank you for keeping developing to our old device ;(
OK got correct device repo thanks to @blinoff82
I will try again, it should work next build but will have the same issues as cm-12.0 for i9100 since i'll be using @Caio Schnepper repo
EDIT: Cooking new build, cross your fingers
New build is up, used Lysergic-Acid' repo this time so it should work since nameless is based on CM
EDIT: RIL might not work since i now see i missed a commit, ill upload a fixed one soon, the rest should work
Hope I will can get into download mode after flashing this

Thanking you for this awesome ROM.

Awesome project, new product but has alot custom Rom
**Reserved**
Boots up.
CR droid boot animation is sick! Loved it.
Of course as title says it's in alpha "testing" so constant system UI crashes upto the point where the screen completely goes black.
One thing I liked about this build was the resolution looks good UI and stuff (got all this just by looking the pre Google setup screen) All the other ROMs I tested has bad resolution and the screen is just not satisfying but not in this rom!
Waiting for stable build. Like.

GAPPS: I used MindTheGapps, which I found linked in the LOS thread.
First time installing crDroid to your Pixel XL, or coming from another ROM:
** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery (CWM or TWRP)
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM then TWRP and reboot back to TWRP.
8) Flash GApps
9) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk XX.x (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same.
***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.
Don't expect any support if you:

Just wanted to say thanks for this incredible ROM! I've been having some stability issues on others lately and this has been rock solid for me the last few days. THANK YOU

Has anyone attempted to install this on a Pixel (sailfish, not marlin/XL)? The LOS builds appear to be unified...

LOS has a unified thread but different builds for each device. Definitely do not flash this on sailfish if it's meant for Marlin. It will fail miserably.
So no issues with this ROM? Seems stable and everything? Been waiting for more comments and feedback. Might give this a shot

I've been using it for 2 months and it rocks. The only BIG problem i have is that i have no more wifi, but idk if it's from this rom, i've tried many others and even turned back on stock rom and still no wifi so maybe a hardware bug.. but except for this, this rom is very good.

This ROM is rock solid. Still having no issues. Best experience since I started using this phone. No issues with WiFi
Thanks so much, looking forward to giving this a shot
1. The LTE is not fast as on stock.
Some networking issue a very subtle(sample, when I defined in Calls VOIP account that used for years and on the evice 5 minuts ago, have got issue with connectivity as result was inability to register on providers network and no use of phone; the sme on stock , again, after 15 minuts, a volia! all works).
2. When device is connected by USB cable with Winows computer with fully installed android /google / adb / fastboot etc tools, the connection interrupted by 5-7 seconds, paused, automatically started connected again fr 10-20 seconds and so on.
shame there is no newer crdroid for pixel xl...
