Good morning,
I think i just need a ROM or a Backup.
I installed the systel recivert TWRP with flash tool, it works but missing the OS.
With flash tool:
I used those files: logo.bin, lk.bin, MBR, preloader.bin, secro.img, MT6582_Android_scatter.txt, boot.img, recovery.img, system.img
But i didn't have any files for: ebr1, ebr2, cache, usrdata
A the TWRP seems to work, i think i can simply flash a zip file on the SD-card.
Thank you four your interest !
ps: I was invited to type the captcha and it was very very very very difficult to read (i tried more than 20x).

Hey shanti, I too have been stupid and managed to remove my system. I was trying to navigate TWRP (so much more used to CWM with previous devices) and accidentally erased the system instead of backing it up. Is it possible to flash this with fastboot? I did managed to back up the boot files, just not the system, and I don't have a external SD card (I might be able to swap the one off my mums phone though at some point).
Thanks
Will
PS. If it helps, I use Arch Linux (32 bit) because my laptop chargers broken I'm using my spare PC, and also the phone is the Medion variant (LIFE P4502 from Aldi)
EDIT: Buying SD Card today

Can somebody help me to make cm11 port? Thanks

Were can i find chinese supersu? I instaled from google but really have problemy with SD, lost settings after reboot, and other problems

Hello,
Is this Original firmware, and how to do it?
Thanks for helping me.

Still need original ROM for Medion P4502
Can someone tell me where and how to recover my phone?
It doesn't connect to my network provider (I tested 3 differents Sim cards), and he also change his MAC address at WIFI connection.
I need original ROM and how to put it back (how to do).
Please help me as I don't want to send it back to Medion service (3th time), as they didn't do anything.
A friend has the same phone.
Is it possible to make a copy of his ROM (and how) to put it back on mine?
Thanks for helping me.

No answer, so phone send back to Medion repair service.
Hope this time it will return in good conditions ...

Please help!

I've heard this works for other people. With my phone it doesn't. When I plug it in, it doesn't show an unknown device. I've already downloaded and installed MT65xx Preloader and tried out a VCom, but still nothing. I've been going at it for a week, so if anyone's got an answer, advice would be great. Thanks!
Error # 16008
A message came out,
"EBOOT ERROR (16008), [Android] Partition size changed!

I followed all the steps (and the links) up until I clicked the 'Download' button. :/ When I click download button, that message shows.

Bonjour

Cordialement.
PS: Il faut etre bien rigoureux sur les etapes de cette procedure. Je ne peux etre tenu pour responsable en cas de brickage du telephone.
Ronny927, in the page //clockworkmod. com/rommanager isn't the rom for the alcatel m'pop. Can you upload a .zip file for this phone please?
Lucien, if you understand me.... xd, can you upload your .img file? I can't get the recovery file with the sp flash tool
Sorry for my english, i am spanish
I don't see rom for alcatel here, maybe there is another way for this but i just can't get around it.
Anyways, i spend some time searching, and came up on some french forum, some guy said he rooted his m'pop using this method.
(Since i'm new user i cannot post outside links)
pastebin-com-c6gwDsbk
(replace "-" with "." and "/" )
This was translated with google translate so it might have some mistakes. For people speaking french, here's the full post in french.

Can anyone confirm this procedure is working ? I am still not comfortable playing with my phone regarding this, because i'm still noob about these things. If anyone can try this method and share your opinions i'd be grateful.
Yeah! That link was really usefull, the french guy's procedure works perfect!

Follow the procedure at the begining of the thread. Or download the full package with instructions. There's no problem with it. The most important thing is that your PC recognizes your 5020 as it said.

I just came across this thread. I own the Alcatel One Touch Evolve 5020N on MetroPCS. I haven't activated it. I'm going to give 5 of 'em to my children for use as Wi-Fi only music and game players. I was wondering if you'd can be used for my phones do they will have CWM? I followed directions I found on rooting, so that's out of the way, just need a recovery. Thanks.

Download this link and besides the files you'll find a tutorial with the easiest way to root and all your phone. I've been surfing and I think it's the clearest way for you to follow. Hello arcsuser,
Thanks for your help,
I have downloaded the zip file as proposed.
unfortunately I was not able to install it because I don't have the root access on my tablet.
If there is a way to install the zip file without the recovery mode I'd be glad to know it.
if not, I will have to go through the process.
thanks again for your help.
let me know if there is a way without the root mode

U want to install it without root, i dont think thats possible,
Anyway have you try installing it as a normal apks? If it still doesnt install then i guess you really have to be rooted..
How about, get root, install apps, then unroot.. I dont think the apps are affected. Im not sure just give it a try

Actually I have now the same question than "OP" on the recovery mode. I have now rooted the device the "super user app" is available and activated.
but I still can't access the recovery mode. I have tried the key combination mentioned in your post to "OP". then I referred to the post from DooMLoRD "All the info you need before you begin" with the Xperia Z tablet where the recovery mode is described.
I have the sony screen displayed, then I press volume up, the boot is going the normal way.
I tried with the usb cable connected to the PC, then it goes directly to the Xperia logo.
I tried the normal reboot (one light falshing) and the hard reboot (3 lights flashing) I do not have the device vibrating like explained by DooMLoRD.
Is this the reasn ?
thanks for your help again.

did you spam the volume up?
our tablet will not vibrate because DooMLoRDs links is actually for phone that ALSO works for XTZ..
You said you're rooted but still cant go to recovery.. HHmmmm..
Do you have the recovery installed? cause if not it will not work
you can install it Here
if you are rooted and the recovery is installed.. then nothing can go wrong

I have downloaded and tried unsucessfully to flash the recovery tool.
I couldn't access the flash mode as described in the basics from DooMLoRD.
“while device is power OFF
Volume Up + USB cable connected to PC -> FASTBOOT MODE (BLUE LED will light up)“
I'm afraod I will need some tutorial to go through the steps of fast boot...
thanks
You don't need recovery to install the apps if you have root. Just unzip the file using root explorer. The unzipped file will show from the structure where the files have to go so just copy them to the corresponding folder on the tab using root explorer. (apps, and their associated odex file if there is one, will usually be in /system/app folder) Don't forget to set the permissions (rw-r--r-- for system apps and odex files), also using root explorer. Reboot and if they're gonna work as system apps they will...

thanks for the walk through.
I have followed it step by step and here is the result. my computer (PC windows 7) makes a sound like a usb device is connected but not recognized.
when I connect the tablet in the normal way it is recognized without problem.
do you think I need to install some drivers on the PC as well ?

My final goal is to install the gapps on my tablet, I have downloaded the package the android 4.1.x.
to install the gapps, I need to find the recovery mode,

For the next step I need some help because I can't install the *.img through flashboot toolbox. or anything else for that matter.

LENOVO Tab 3 8' (TB3-850F) UNBRICK, ROOT and TWRP recovery - HOW TO

Hi all!!
This is for all the people who managed to softbrick (or hardbrick) their Lenovo Tab 3 8' (TB3-850F) tablets!
All you will need link, at the end of the post. I don't know for how long it will be up, but you can use it for now.
By the way.... Should you find something useful here... please hit the thanks button in the end
A. Unbrick
This requires flashing a clean stock rom. You will need:
a. stock rom for the TB3-850F (Google is you friend )
b. Sp Flashtool (you can download from their official site). From there, also download the MediaTek USB VCOM drivers and Driver Auto Installer v1.1236.00 (or any latest version).
Steps:
1. Install the windows drivers you downloaded
Note : If you encounter problems installing Windows drivers in Windows 10, google how to install unsigned drivers in Win10
2. Open the folder you extracted SP Flashtool and run it as administrator.
3. Unzip the rom file you downloaded.
4. Inside the folder of your unzipped rom file, look for a file similar to XXXXXXXXXX_scatter_file.txt
5. Load this in the SP Flashtool (click downlad tab, then scatter loading, load this file in there. It should load your rom you will see some colours, etc...
The tricky part:
Assuming you have correctly installed the drivers:
1. turn off the device (well if bricked it is turned off all ready) just make sure, and in SP Flashtool click options and 'with battery'.
2. Click the green download button on SP Flashtool.
3. Hold down the Vol down key on your device and connect it to a usb port.
4. If you see a red line and continue to yellow, all is probably good! Don't let go of the vol - button until yellow line reaches 100%
B. Root and TWRP recovery
This requires that you have or download:
a. platform tools (adb and fastboot)
b. a twrp.img (image file) for the lenovo TB3-850F copied to external SD Card and platform tools folder (google is... useful )
c. latest supersu.zip (flashable) copied to an external SD CARD
d. busybox.apk
Steps:
1. Grab tablet, go to settings ---> about tablet ---> click version number 7 times to enable developer options
2. From settings again click developer options and enable OEM Unlocking and usb debugging
3. Navigate in the platform tools folder. While holding SHIFT right click and select open commandline here (or similar)
4. Connect tablet to PC and in the command line issue: adb devices
If a weird number shows up and says device on the left you are all good to continue.
5. Now on the command prompt again issue: adb reboot bootloader
Your tablet should now reboot to fastboot (big Android, laying down)
6. Issue command: fastboot oem unlock (also check tablet screen for confirmation)
Wait a little bit and reboot your tablet. (should work with holding the power key down for a little longer than 10 seconds. If not hold down volume key and power button for the same amount of time - tested and working)
**At this point it is ESSENTIAL to leave the tablet to fully boot. The bootloader unlock triggers a FACTORY RESET which you must leave to complete and set up your tablet from the beginning.
** It is also ESSENTIAL to complete the boot and set up cycle because, after the automatic factory reset you will need to RE-ENABLE developer options and usb debugging. Once you are done continue to 7.
7. In the platform tools folder copy the twrp.img (you should have downloaded earlier, check upwards... )
8. Open the command line again and type:
a. adb reboot bootloader
b. fastboot boot twrp.img
** This will load up TWRP recovery only for this boot time.
****BE EXTRA CAUTIUS TO -NOT- ALLOW twrp to make modifications. Essential! Should you do otherwise go back to how to unbrick your tablet.
9. Choose install, and install supersu.zip.
10. Choose reboot to system and allow complete boot cycle! Essential!
11. Your tablet should now be rooted. However to succesfully flash the twrp recovery you need to have Busybox installed. Download as .apk and install it (at the time of writing this I believe Busybox 54 is the latest version).
12. Once installed back to the windows terminal and issue:
a. adb reboot bootloader
b. fastboot boot twrp.img
ONCE AGAIN - DO -NOT- ALLOW twrp to make modifications!!!!!
13. From you external SD Card install twrp.img, select recovery when prompted.
14. Reboot to system and enjoy!!!!
Note : Install an app that makes it easy to boot to recovery. (I personally use root essentials - Trying the combination keys did nothing for me, or just poped up the chinese options menu. That does not mean the recovery has not been installed correctly. Booting to recovery from rootessential menu, boots straight to twrp)
All you will need and credits:
https://drive.google.com/drive/fold...ourcekey=0-SDvJaXtWWk-TY9B53ct8dw&usp=sharing (thanks button, thanks button, thanks button!!! )
Results:
(it is in Greek, but you get the idea )
Hope I have helped! Happy playing with the commands and whole process! :good:
Lastly, if you get stuck at any point, you can either use this thread or PM me for further advice, explanation and/or any kind of assistance.
Note: Special thanks to @MotoJunkie01 for actually taking the time to further help people on this thread, as unfortunately I do not currently have the time to do so myself. It is worth checking out @MotoJunkie01 's threads also. There, you can find very useful and updated information.

Looking forward to it. I picked mine up from walmart just yesterday for using as a google maps/car media center
My Lenovo Tab 3 replacement finally arrived in the mail. I'll be picking up where I left off on compiling both unmodified stock and custom stock-based ROMs for this tablet.
On my modified stock based ROM, I'm considering the implementation of Substratum (Root Ver) for theming, but I would like to get the input of other device owners first. So far, I have debloated, deodexed and zipaligned the OS. I am including the modified/patched boot image with SuperSU v2.79 SR3 binaries installed for systemless root, Nova Launcher, Pixel Icon Pack, BusyBox v1.26.2 binaries pre-injected in /su/xbin/, and Kernel Adiutor-Mod installed in /system/apps/ for user defined adjustments to the stock kernel and governors.
You guys please give me input on what you would like included in the ROM. Thanks

Try again to get TWRP installed to your /recovery partition or, alternatively, try to simply boot into TWRP from fastboot with the fastboot boot twrp.img command. It is common for members to experience some difficulty in installing custom recovery on this device. It has been my experience that most members are successful the second time around.
Thanks MotorJunkie!! But mine after was saved from brick from this thread, i was rooted it also by your instructions from other thread.. Now the gps from GoogleMap doesn't determine the location (even the location already turned on ) ... Plus i couldn't check the systemupdate ( it says connection network failed even i was connecting to wifi already) ...
What should i do, or do you know how to fix it?

System updates (OTAs) won't install on rooted operating systems. To install an OTA, you must have unmodified stock /boot, /system, and /recovery partitions installed. On the GPS issue, go to Settings, Apps, and ensure Google Maps has been granted location access permission.
Hi ...
I followed this guide but during the unbricking' I unplugged the device from USB (since I could not see any input on device or indication in SP Flash Tool).
Now the device will not turn on at all (previously I would see the Lenovo Logo splash screen but then it would just stay at this screen. Now i do not see anything).
When I plug into computer by USB, it causes my computer to freeze up (Windows 10).
Any ideas or is this now completely bricked? (hard bricked).

It sounds like a hard brick. I can't speak for the OP, @r&xp on this, so you may want to get his advice. Have you tried the OP's methods of using your hardware buttons for forcing the device into adb/fastboot recognition? I think this is your only chance of recovering it. By it not powering on, from my experience, a bootloader or bootloader dependent partition has been corrupted, thus hard bricking the tablet.

Hello, I'll weigh in on this one. There are multiple threads above the TB3-850F on this forum and also another forum.
I initially followed a different thread and instructions which caused my problem. Notably do not allow TWRP write access !!! This mistake caused the soft-brick.
Anyone following any other advice about TB3-850F or downloading any other image BEWARe. Only follow the advice in this thread by r&xp:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/lenovo-tab-3-8-tb3-850f-unbrick-root-t3598727
Following this advice I now restored original image and then rooted in just a few hours.. Thank you r&xp for the good advice.

[ROOT] How to root the new Wiko View

Hey, I'm french so if I do mistake, it's normal, sorry
Here is a way to root this Wiko, finally!
Before doing this, i want to say that me, XDA or nobody exept you is responsible of what you can do on your phone, this method work for me, surely for you, but this operation will delete all your data, so remember to backup your data.
Now, you Have to go to Developper options, enable "OEM Unlocking", "USB Debugging" and disable "Verify apps over USB"
After, set "Select USB Configuration" to MTP. After That, download file (https://mega.nz/#!ioBQDZra!z6ntj85aM-mjg4dnscPaPBjvd-qpSY9HQiDkKuYbxcU) and extract it
Connect your phone to your Computer, Copy and Paste the SuperSU zip file in your SD card, and reboot your phone in fastboot mode (shutdown, and boot it by pressing Power and Vol+, then, when you have a choice between recovery and fastboot, select fastboot by clicking Vol-)
Open a command prompt in the extracted file, and type: fastboot oem unlock
Here, all your data will be lost by a factory reset.
When the phone restart, in the command prompt, type:
adb root
adb shell
cat /proc/partitions
ls -l /dev/block/platform/soc/7825900.sdhci/by-name/ (7825900.sdhci may be different, so use tab to find the correct file)
in the list, you will have a file with "recovery -> /dev/block/XXX" (XXX may be like mmcblk0p22)
cat /dev/block/XXX > /data/local/tmp/recovery.img
exit
adb pull /data/local/tmp/recovery.img
adb reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash recovery "CUSTOM recovery.img"
fastboot reboot
if there is no problems, you phone restart normally, so stop it, and boot to the recovery (Power and Vol+ and whene the choice appear, Select recovery with Vol+)
if your phone don't want to boot to the TWRP recovery, try to flash the stock recovery, reboot and flash again the custom one. if the problem persist, leave a comment.
In TWRP, swipe the button, and go to Install, Up a level, select external_sd and then, select the SuperSU file, select "Reboot after installation is complete, and swipe to flash.
When it's done, install or not the TWRP app, and reboot. The device can start twice before finally boot, and can be longer than usual, but don't do anything, it's normal.
When the phone finally boot, SuperSU may be installed, so go check if it's true, and if it is, go to the play store and install BusyBox (by Stephen (Stericson))
After the installation is complete, open it, and click install.
If there is no problem, the root acces will be request, so accept it and all is done.
If you have a problem, or any question, ask me.

Do you have an error message ? Or something else ?
Oh, well, it figured my way out! First SU installation, the phone isn't rooted (I don't know why, either). But I factory reset the phone, set the phone up, then go to TWRP and re-install SU and it worked. Now the phone is rooted!
Thank you very much for your guide and files.
By the way, I guess most people will get stuck at "adb root" command.
Simply dial *#*#84666364#*#* (this launches TinnoEngineerMode)
- go to "Tinno Debug Feature"
- tap on "persist.tinno.debug" and choose 1
Then you can go on with "adb root" command
Hope this helps!

please help me to root my wiko view 32gb+3gb. i place fastboot oem unlock in pront comand i see waiting for device, and nothing. please creat a apk our anything for root
Would it work on k-Kool ?
We'll this sounds horrifying, just to get root permission, you have to accept to get rid of all your data and parms ? It must be another way.
I'll explain my real need for rooting my Wiko k-Kool. I bought a 64GB SD card, to be used normally as external storage, not for apps install. However I want to be able to backup my phone onto that card, just in case. I use Helium to backup my data without needing root (uses internally adb) ! However non-rooted Helium as a 3d party application has no permission to write to the SD card ! The reason I want to root is just to give Helium the permission to wirte into a backup directory.
Therefore I dont want to put my data at risk just to get root permission, but found no other way to change heliums permissions.
Thanks for any help.
This can work for the Wiko view 2 ? I can't find anything for my phone [emoji24]
