MOD - Enable Call Recording on S5 Lollipop ( only S5 International) - Galaxy S 5 Themes and Apps

Hello guys, this morning I changed the file contents in /Root/System/Csc/Others.xml and added the ability to enable CallRecording in Rom Stock Android 5.0.
Need to have a Stock Rom with Root, a File Manager go to System / CSC and rename the file in Others.xml Others.xml.old, then copy the file attached here and change permissions in RW-RR, restart. On restart you will magically enabled CallRecording.
It works perfectly!
I am not responsible for any changes that you will make in your device.
See you soon ..... Appearance some developer to update Xposed framework compatible with Lollipop .... Thanks

And how does this feature works? I mean there will be a new button or so in the caller?
Thanks!

thanks work goooood s5 lollipop 900F

MOD - Enabling Call Recording on Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500
I tried the same thing with my Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500 on Stock ROM 5.0.1 with firmware [I9500XXUHOA7_I9500SERHOA7_SER]
I used the following method
1. Browsed to root/System/CSC and copied the others.xml file to my PC
2. Modified the file with <CscFeature_VoiceCall_ConfigRecording>RecordingAllowed</CscFeature_VoiceCall_ConfigRecording>
3. Saved the file and copied it back to the root/System/CSC folder using ES Root Explorer.
4. Restarted and voila...
Hope it works for you all. I have attached the file for your reference. Extract the file using WinRAR.
NOTE:
1. You must take a backup of Others.xml if any thing goes wrong.
2. I am not responsible for any changes that you will make in your device.

Yes indeed. However, in order to access the file(others.xml) ROOT access is required. So the phone must be ROOTed.
In order to gain something(CALL RECORDING) we have to sacrifice phone warranty. But dont worry. If you get into warranty issues then prior to claiming your warranty, you can used ODIN to restore to stock firmware.

Gr8. But would be nice if you share as to how and using what you implemented the non-tripping method.
If you can share the steps, then I would gladly include your steps and modify the others.xml accordingly.

I don't know if you understanded me, I meant a ROOT method without tripping Knox, I don't know a way of applying this mod without root... But anyway, to root without tripping knox:
Well for KitKat the easiest method is to downgrade to an old 4.4.2 firmware and root with towelroot which doesn't trips knox, then if you want to stay in KK, you can flash a newer version of it through Mobile Odin Pro, using the "keep root" option, which also won't trip knox...
And if you want to install stock lollipop rooted without tripping knox you have to flash @_alexndr Lollipop DevBase from a rooted KitKat rom with Mobile Odin Pro too...
Obviously you can't flash any custom recoveries on it because this will definitely trip knox.
I'll leave links regarding this procedures...

Mediapad X1 build.prop values

Hi all,
Thanks to a forum member on my home forum, who found some information from the Russian 4PDA forum, I would like to post the findings here for English speaking users.
NOTE: THIS IS MEANT FOR 501L devices with B002 or B003 ROMS, as they do not have many features from the 501u and 503L devices
I currently have a 7D-501L from Malaysia (updated to Western Europe B003 ROM) and have successfully tested the following:
You may first need to rename the file "setimmutable.list" to something else otherwise build.prop changes may not be permanent.
/system/build.prop
On Gloves - mode
Append: ro.config.hw_glovemode_enabled = 1
On muting the shutter sound option in the camera
Append: ro.hwcamera.sound.muteable = true
This setting needs to be changed at /data/cust/prop/local.prop
When saving, the charset needs to be set to GBK otherwise you will brick your phone.
#ro.config.ShowNavigationBar=true <=add "#" to comment out the original line, then add the 2 lines below.
ro.config.hw_shownavisettings=true
ro.config.hw_navigationbar=true
Link to the post on my home forum:

I have also managed to install Xposed framework successfully and GravityBox is working fine.

You need to rename the file setimmutable.list to something else.
Then change the properties of build.prop and local.prop to -rwrwrwx- or 777 using some root-aware file explorer.
Make the changes with a text editor, remembering to save it in the same Encoding as the original.
Then revert the properties back to -rw-r-rx- or something, I can't recall, but you can see it from the file explorer. I use Solid Explorer which is awfully handy.

Yes you MUST be rooted to install Xposed.
I installed Dimensions Editor and Play Permissions. Both work nicely.
The navbar and app titlebards are much smaller now and I don't even need to hide the navbar much.

Try editing your build prop
ro.product.name and ro.product.device from "kltetmo"(or whatever is there) to "klteatt"
I know for a fact editing your build prop file can affect your notification drop down.

there has to be. I gave up for now, I can't live without full-screen youtube videos, so I guess I'm stuck with the stupid buttons at the moment...
Does anyone else know a possible solution?
It does work but only if you change ONLY ro.product.name=klteatt
If you change device=spr it will loop the networkservice error and lock you out.
Doing this also changes your data icons from sprint/spark to the att/4glte one....fine with me to get rid of the damn buttons.(Did it with xposed previously on KK )

Smart Manager from Galaxy S6 Working 910C

I didn't port this application , all credit goes to @Albe95 from the S4 forums. I just followed the directions that he gave on his post and it worked on my Note 4 910C. Also, as reported by others it works on F, H, and U. I'm running Anatolia ROM A6 and is based on boc5 odexed firmware. I have no idea if it will work with all ROMs. But you can try it and provide feedback for others. Please when posting your feedback provide the ROM you are using, it will help others in the guessing game ( will this work on my ROM?). Also, make sure you do a backup before you try this mod. gl
PS-All the folders use- 755 (drwxr-xr-x), and -644 (-rw-r--r--)for the the apks and files inside the folders . Make sure that all the files in the folders have the permissions checked and corrected (arm and libs).

1. Your phone needs to be rooted (do a search there is plenty of information on how to get that done).
2. You need a file manager with root access. ES File Explorer, Solid Explorer are some examples. Download and install one.
3. With the file manager from step 2 navigate to your system/priv-app folder and after unpacking the file (Smart Manager) you should have 2 folders. Place the 2 folders in the system/priv-app folder and fix all the permissions on the folders. I already mentioned in the OP the correct permissions for the type of files and folders.
4. Reboot Phone and if you followed the steps Smart Manager should work.
5. If any of this steps are new or too difficult, I politely suggest you do some reading and get comfortable with them, specially the step 3 (navigating your phone system files) because you will need this with just about any mod.

Yes, with custom ROMs, almost system is rw, so you can make changes. But my suggestion is that you should know exactly what r u doing with it, since making changes on system is not a safe thing when u not sure.
