Thanks for the Lp rom will try it out when its more stable

Nice build BTW so far I can only get to the loading screen and bootloops.
Device: SHV-E250S
I tried dirty flashing from CM11 to CM12. Also flashed signed converter e250s but only stuck on Samsung Logo then reboots.
Flashed different Kernels and finally CM Logo appeared but it was sitting there for 45 mins and nothing happens.
Thanks

Nice Job
I went ahead and flashed this bad boy after reading up on it and noticed that its smooth and I got mobile data working calls and texts working only had issues with the camera and gps otherwise I was impressed with the rom build being so early and running so smooth way to go keep up the hard work and im sure its not just me but we all appreciate what you are doing for the Note 2 community Thanks Again

Working
I got the install working as correctly as everyone else.
I originally tried just dirty flashing over my current ROM(LiquidSmooth 3.2 Milestone based on 4.4.4) and that didn't work right. I factory reset and then went right to an install. Haven't had to play with any settings beyond the keyboard to get everything working correctly.
I can make and receive phone calls
Front facing camera is the only of the two that works.
Texts and can be received no problem, I haven't been able to try MMS as I get almost no service at my house as it is.
Overall this ROM works freaking great. Thanks @sbrissen!

Agree with moovlin. Been working well though occasionally dropping data. Couldn't thumbs up the solution since to new to this forum.

Update Issues
The last couple times I've tried updating from within the phone OS, I get a boot lock or a lot of FCs after. Will see if I can get it unstuck with a battery pull and a manual update. Is that feature not really working yet? or only with certain recoveries?
Thanks

From within OS fails on my phone FCs nothing works most all setting lost, downloaded to extcard and updated, worse, it doesn't see my SIM card, and FCs. I'll try one more time with a full wipe and hope for the best. Anyone else having these issues? Worked good with this one from the weekend cm_i605-ota-bfb35cbe6b.
---------- Post added at 04:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:21 PM ----------
Full clean wipe and reset seem to have fixed the issues. Letting it do it's restore process. A new feature maybe? Or just new window paint on the old process. I used today's update, and the 11/09 gapps here. I know there are several updates to the GAPPs too, but getting the phone to work again is most important. Keyboard does popup right away, I don't care for that keyboard at all, but hopefully with the reset, it will load and I can just select it again.
Seems to be going well so far. A lot of aps to download again. I hadn't setup the backup software to run yet...

Working
I installed this about a week ago and it's been working great! I haven't had any of the SMS or battery (wakelock) issues that others have reported, but i did have an issue where i could not make outgoing calls (it would immediately say "call ended", but the other side would ring) when it was first installed. It fixed itself after a couple of days. This is on the 12/17 build with the GPS hotfix. This is my first time installed a non-TW ROM, but I'm glad i tried it out! Keep up the good work!

Boot Loop
I'm trying to flash to the nightlies cm12's. i've done a fresh wipe. when i restart the it gets to the "updating apps" and reboots after it finishes the updates. after it just continues rebooting after a minute. any suggestions?

Could not receive incoming or hang up outgoing phone call. on CM12.1
I am using netzclub in Germany, data and SMS are fine. However, I find myself could not hang up on outgoing phone call. Incoming calls are a bit more tricky. The only call I could receive so far is the one from Google verification. The one who is calling can hear ringing and get directed to the voice mail.
I can try get a logcat. Shall I change the level of logcat?
It actually start from CM12 builds. I have tried wiping and fresh installation, nothing works, though.

I'm still on CM12, the build from April 16th, but I'm not quite ready to make the change to 12.1. I wanted to flash the last CM12 nightly, but I can't download it. Are the builds gradually rotated off of the site, or deprecated? Is there any other way I could download the last CM12 nightly?

Can't get GAPPs in CyanogenMod 12.1
I have a Verizon Note II SCH-1605. I had some version of CyanogenMod 12.0 installed, which included GAPPs. All was cool except GPS would not work; it kept turning High Accuracy mode off. So I'm trying to see if 12.1 is any better.
I can install cm-12.1-20150505-NIGHTLY-i605 with no issue using TWRP 2.6.0.1. When I try to install gapps-5.1-arm-2015-05-03-16-32-37 from the CyanogenMod web site or gapps-lp-20141109-signed from the [ROM][I605]Official Nightlies CM 12.1 thread or one or two others that I forget I get "set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed."
Anybody know of a GAPPPs version that might work?
---------- Post added at 12:59 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:18 PM ----------
Forgot to mention that I wiped everything except the external sdcard, and I tried installing the gapps at the same time as CyanogenMod or after CyanogenMod is all set up.

Same issue here as well. I've tried the latest i605 nightly and the problem is still present. I've had to revert to a CM12 build dated 30 Jan 2015 in order to have a working phone.

Can we get the APN fixed?

Are u on a nightly build ?

Yes I stay current with the nightlies .

Here you can found all new version of the nightly build : http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=i605&type=nightly
Don't forget that if you are on a nightly build you have to flash your phone with a nighty update, you can switch between builds.

Looking very good so far. Just a couple things I noticed.
Contacts app crashes when trying to view a listing.
Bluetooth audio is slow and low pitched and skips a lot - makes it unusable for the time being.
MMS
Anyone else having issues with MMS? With the 11/21 build through the 11/25 build I don't always receive my MMS messages. Seems to work with the first message received after boot but after that it takes up to 15 minutes to receive a MMS if I get it at all. It also seems to take a very long time to send MMS messages out. The problem seems worse when I have WIFI enabled but it could be unrelated. I did clean installs and I am on the I545VRUFNG6 baseband if that makes a difference. Also, starting with the 11/24 build I had to go into my Network and toggle LTE/CDMA to connect to the verizon network after every boot.
If I could get MMS working reliably I would use this as my daily. Thanks for the good work devs.

I'm having a weird issue with my MMS. I am able to send always, but when receiving they almost always show up as "New MMS message to doanload: size xKB, expires [date]". At first I just thought it was my reception, but that doesn't seem to be the case as it's kind of a rampant issue. I only noticed this because I'm in an ongoing group chat with some old friends and I will get about 10 of these obnoxious messages with very few coming through on the first try. Thoughts?

Home button wake on lock screen
My home button does not turn the screen on at the lock screen and I've got a malfunctioning power power button. I'm running 11/23. Do any of the newer builds permit such an action? I have attempted to change the key log but that isn't working for whatever reason. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Yes, home button wake has worked for about a week.

Notification pulldown
Pulling down twice from the center or once from the right side gives me my full notification toggles, but underneath my profile photo it has the text "null - null". Is there any way to get rid of this? Version 12/3
I believe it has to do with a weather icon but then again I'm not entirely sure.
It was the weather in the status bar option in settings, thanks for the fast PM's you guys are fantastic.
Having issue with voicemail. Dialer is crashing every time i call my voicemail but if I do not clear the error, everything works but because of the in screen error, I cannot interface with the keypad. Sorry if this is a known issue but I've been using this since day one and just noticed it and do not remember seeing this issue in the thread.

[GS4 VZW] Problem Updating from CM11 KitKat 4.4.4 to CM12
I have had my phone rooted since the day I got my GS4 VZW, which was the day after it was released, and I have almost exclusively been on Cyanogen Mod 10/11 the entire time.
I am currently having trouble updating to CM 12. After I factory restore in CWM and wipe dalvik, I go to install the newest CM12 and I receive the "installation aborted error." I tried installing several other compatible versions of CM12 and all receive the same abortion error. I then reverted back to CM11 and I had no problem installing the rom as well as GApps. I even went through the MetaINF>Com>Google>Android>Updater-Script and removed the check device to see if that would change anything; it did not. Can someone assist me with this problem, I have no idea what's wrong and I've scoured the forum for the past day trying to find a solution and I've found nothing. Thanks for any help offered!

Did you verify the MD5 checksum? Might be a bad download.
EDIT: I just re-read your post, I suppose it's unlikely that you would have had several bad downloads, but it's still worth checking the MD5. Also, which recovery do you have? You might have to toggle the script asserts before you flash the rom.
keyboard issue
Hey I'm on yesterday's nightly (12/17) and am having an issue with my keyboard. I can't seem to get it to use Swiftkey, each time I set it to swiftkey under Language & input it only seems to work for one use and the next time I go to search / text I have google keyboard. Anyone else seeing this? Rom otherwise running great ... just made the jump from Kitkat Monday and am very impressed with how stable this is already.

Okay I found the fix to anyone with the same problem. I was using a Mac to download the .zip files and what would happen is that safari would automatically unzip the files and to fix it I thought I could just simply compress them again. Here is the fix, go to Safari>Preferences>General and uncheck the "open safe files after download" box and that will prevent the files from automatically unzipping. Then you can go ahead with flashing your rom normally. Hope this helped anyone using a mac and trying to update their GS4!

Bootloader needs to be MDK to flash CM since that is the only bootloader capable of being locki'd to flash a new kernel. Modem can be any one you want.

I was able to fix the issue by flashing SLIM_APNS.zip. I am on VZW and that fixed all of my mms issues. On CM11 I fixed it by editing APN settings which I assume this zip does. Let me find a link to the zip/post.

will this problem go away if i just install the google play services apk?
edit : after flashing the proper gapps, an update from the play store solved everything. Now running smoothly.
since i updated to cm12,go power master has not been able to turn data off when the screen turns off. this was working flawlessly in kitkat. even the go power master widget is not working. thought there might be a problem with root,so flashed supersu 2.40 from recovery. but still it isnt working. any idea what the problem might be?

Has the app been updated to support LP? At times in the past, access for 3rd party apps to stuff like data connection, which requires root, sometimes changes functionality with version upgrades. Don't know if that's the case in this circumstance, but it's something to look into.
Performance drop
Flashed this rom with fulll wipe. Works well, but sometimes performance *drops* happens. It becomes VERY slow, like CPU speed drops down to 128mhz. I had the same problem on cm 11.
Who knows how to fix it?
Looking great and functions great but I am getting terrible battery life due to "miscellaneous" or "Cellular Standby" according to battery stats.

Same problem on stock and Solid_GEEB Kernel

Lucky to get 12 hours of battery under normal use. Any suggestions?

Sorry for late answer. I was too busy to post logcats earlier. I hope issues will get fixed.
I installed CM12.0 (1/27 build) but any 5.0 gapps I try fails to flash on the official TWRP 2.8.3.0 for the e970. I've tried bpear, PA, and one other. I can get the ROM to boot, then it gives FC's for every Google App, and the apps are all named by their com. ... name, and say "app not installed" when clicked. I have loaded the zip files over wifi, through adb push, via usb, and through straight download to the device. I've also run them from the external SD and the internal storage.
Is there a different recovery I should be using with this? Will a Nexus 4 recovery work on the e970?

Audio calls problem
Hi,
I recently updated my OS from LG's Official 4.1.2 to CM12. Everything seems to be working fine but for making/receiving calls. I am not able to hear or speak over the microphone and speaker outlet unless or until I use a headphones in which case both work properly. Can anyone please help?
Details on my upgrade:
I had backed up my data and downloaded the CM12 zip files with Gapps and SuperUser into my SD card. Once they were ready, I restarted my mobile in Recovery mode and wiped the user data and installed CM12.zip followed by Gapps followed by SuperUser. Then rebooted my mobile and check everything for the working condition. It was working perfectly except for the fact that when I receive phone calls or when I make a phone call once I attend the call, I would not be able to speak to the person or hear the person in normal mode nor in speaker mode. The only way it works is if I use my headphones.
I had installed CM12 01/26/2015 version. And have tried later versions until 01/30 but I do not find that to be fixing. It would be of great help if anyone could help me.
Thanks,
Arun

wow
Had the lightwave rom on this before, and it worked well. After a few hrs of running cm i am blown away at the performance. Buttery smooth. Calls crisp, no issues whatsoever aside from the camera. Got xposed on it, gravitybox and greenify working great so far
And just thought I'd try it with the Camera MX from playstore and voila, it works! One picture at least
Bluetooth freezes calling app
Hi everyone, first of all, big thanks to AcreaperJB
I just installed version 0.2.3, overall I really like the ROM, I have two issues with it, really it's just one that I care about, here I go
1 - the big deal) I can't make calls over Bluetooth, after dialing I hear maybe one signal, maybe two if I'm lucky, after that the calling apps freezes, can't finish the call, can't call anybody else, can't hear anything, even turning off Bluetooth won't restore things, I can switch between apps and everything is fine except the calling app it's just stuck until I restart the phone, no more calling basically
2 - the workaround) camera will crash right after taking the photo, won't save the photo, I installed open camera from the play store and it works fine, I know it's a known issue, I just want to confirm it
Things to mention
- I did full install, all the partitions got wiped except the external SD card partition where I kept the ROM
- installation was scary, after installing the ROM it would circle back and forth, it was restarting and it wouldn't let me do anything, as soon as it got to CM wizard it restarted, I had no way to stop it or pause it so after about 10 restarts I gave up and just moved on and left the phone do restarts and I took care of other things around the house, already started thinking on how to go back to the stock rom, after coming back to the phone about two hours later the CM was waiting for me, got so surprised that it got out of the endless loop, i finished the wizard, went into CM and it doesn't restart anymore
thanks again

Hey, does anyone know of a fix for the YouTube app? It keeps saying 'an error has occurred touch to retry'
SIM Card not detected?
So I clean installed the dirty v.0.2.3 and when it went to setup it said my sim card wasn't detected. Did I miss something? Does the "dirty" mean I won't get data? I'm new to this and I don't really know what the lingo means. I also can't change the APN's. It says "Access point name not available for this user".
I can't make any phone calls nor send any texts. My cellular data doesn't work either. Wi-fi and everything else works fine. Just the actual service.
Am I missing a step?
I flashed the ROM with twrp 2.8.4.0, I wiped davlick, data, cache, etc. I did the clean install, I don't understand why I am not getting any service or why my sim card isn't detected.
Please help

Screen going blank upon boot
I tried installing this rom after doing a full backup & then wipe. I made sure to wipe dalvik and cache. I then installed the 0.2.3.zip via TWRP 2.7.1.0 that comes with Light V3 Rom.
Install completed without error but upon boot the setup menu appears and then vanishes. I can get it to display ever-so-briefly by powering the display off/on.
I have a T-Mobile T399 unlocked for use on ATT. Unjustified Devs earlier builds did the same thing but would constantly reboot as well. Your rom doesn't reboot but the screen behaves similarly.
Have you heard of this behavior before, and are there any steps I can take to provide you with diagnostic information?

Think you need to use the twrp 2.8.4 that is in the forum
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/recovery-twrp-2-8-1-0-touch-recovery-t2924604
Try flashing a T-Mobile radio. Just Google it and it should come up.

Answer: CM12-Light BETA for t399n camara workaround.
I have installed cm12 for the Samsung galaxy light t399N.. I am happy to report Everything is working fine! except the stock camera, I tried 7-8 camera apps on the Google play store with no luck, until.... VIOLA, I found one that works. It is called FOTOR. it works now. I have an extra step to deal with but the point is that my phone is now fully functional and running 5.02 lollipop on my METRO PCS t399n. BTW i did not have to edit the apn settings; interestingly, I have an indicator that tells me I have T-Mobil for my carrier.... Thank goodness for the recent merger and switch over to the T-Mobil network, one more problem solved. Hope that helps someone else out there.
thanks
it works
I'm using it a week ago, everythings is ok, only the stock camera not save the photos,
Sorry for my english,

Reboot cycle
After installing V0.2.3 using TWRP 2.8.4.0 on a T399 on a T-mo network I am stuck in a continuous cycle of rebooting every few seconds. I have tried reinstalling starting from a stock image and wiping the cache, data, and dalvik. Any idea what I could be messing up?

Works great!
Is there a version of SuperSU that works with CM13? All trash the ROM and have to do full restore.
I just needed confirmation on something. I'm currently running CM12.1 on a SM-G900P with firmware G900PVPU3BOK4. Does the update to CM 13.0 require a firmware update to G900PVPU3CPCA (the MM level of firmware from the stock Sprint download) or can I stay on G900PVPU3BOK4 with CM13.0?
btw: Sorry for the double post. I'm new to XDA and having trouble figuring out which forum is correct for me to ask my questions in.
Thanks!

Excellent!! I'll just install the latest nightly for CM13 just like I was going for 12.1 and hopefully things will go smoothly!
I'm having difficulty with CM13 and Open GApps. If I flash CM13 alone everything is fine. When I install CM13 and then the ARM 6.0 pico Open GApps through the same TWRP 3.0.2-1 session (as directed here: https://github.com/opengapps/opengapps/wiki/Notes-for-Android-6.0), I either get constant force close errors after boot (with 5/19 CM & GApps zips) or an endless blue android boot screen (with 5/20 CM & GApps zips). I've tried re-downloading the zips and reinstalling after wiping (dalvik, system, data, cache) multiple times.
Any ideas?
UPDATE/PSA: USE THE NANO GAPPS AS STATED IN THE OP. NANOGAPPS INFINITY OPENS THE DOOR.

I've had similar issues; all with Google apps. When I see it, I delete the Google app in question and then immediately re-install from the App store. Once I've done that, I haven't had the Google app force quit again.

Got it working after I realized the OP specifically mentioned the "nano" GApps variant; booted fine after a clean install of CM13 & the nano zip.
Issues w. CM13 flash
Ok... slightly frustrated here.
Basic issue: Have flashed CM13 (Nightly 5.17.16) along with the latest Gapps. Upon reboot my phone will go to the Cyanagenmod splash screen, appear to load for several seconds, and then restart. It keeps doing this for at least 10 minutes until I turn it off. I have re-flashed a couple times after reloading the backup but no change.
Process I used: First of all my phone already has Android 6.0.1 firmware installed (not sure if that's an issue). I have TWRP setup as recovery and rooted with su 2.52 (and yes I verified the root prior to flashing). To flash I boot into recovery (obviously), factory reset, install cm13, clear dalvik, and repeat process with gapps. I've done this before with older CM's successfully but for some reason I can't get past the CM splash screen.
Any assistance is appreciated. If I have made a completely stupid error in my process or this exact issue is covered in another thread don't hesitate to point that out!!
Thank you in advance.

You had the official MM installed from Samsung, correct?
As far as I know, the current CM13 needs LP bootloader installed.
I have no issue with LP bootloader.

Theme chooser works great for me, not having any issues with it. I am having an issue with the time being or of sync when set to automatic... How'd you fix it? Also, what's wrong with the dialer... can't say I'm having any issues there either.

Been running this for a couple days and it's doing well. I did not flash gapps. The biggest issue I have seems to be that apps will crash once the first time they try to access storage. I just reopen the app to do the same task and it works. Sometimes the MTP service crashes when I do something storage related, too. WiFi seems fine, but I haven't had a chance to use Bluetooth or make a call yet.
Thanks for this. Apparently the last ROM I was running on this particular device was a CM build of yours from early last year .
Adding this a couple days later: Wow, battery life has drastically improved over the old CM ROM.
100% Recommended
Just installed this to my Verizon Note 2 SCH-i605.
Running very stable and fast. Definitely better than any ROMS out there.

hi
how to apply it because i'm newer to install custom rooms
I'm having a real good time with this rom. Really brings this ol' girl back to life. I'm also having a real bad time with this rom.
Three issues I'm having so far:
1. Can't send a text. I can get texts in, but when I try to send one out will just say "sending" be then display a notification that it failed.
2. Phone screen turns off on calls and will not come on at all. Power button, home button, prox sensor, nothing gets the screen to come back on. This means I can't hang up and can't press 1 for English.
And 3. Caller ID isn't working at all.
I'm also getting a seemingly random popup saying MTP host failed, or something like that. Not sure if that is related
Any advice on what the problem could be would be splendid.
1. Which carrier to do you use?
2. What APN settings did you use?
This will be easy fix~I have no problems with my rom at the moment.

1. The big red V
2. No idea. Just however it came by default. Been on another rom for a few weeks now. If I remember correctly I did go into the *#*#4636*#*# menu and reset VZW's smsc number, but was dismayed like a mofo that it was of no use.
Would love to get this rom running solid, but the screen going black on a call is a major killjoy.
Update:
Loaded this rom again, still no go on the texts. Tried to restore APNs from a backup and got a pop-up saying this version of Android doesn't allow modifying of apn info.
Most of the entries for all four apn options say "not set"
I can't get it to save my APN. It's the country code. It will not let you have 311 it only let's you use APNs that have a 310 country code. I can't even edit it directly and use the 311 country code.
Any idea how I can get around this.? I've seen this in other ROMs before some ROMs just won't work on virtual carriers. And some don't have an problems with the 311 code.
