I have never flashed either. I have only had an HTC phone and radios/bootloaders I could flash through an update zip. The only files flashed through Odin so far were recovery and the stock tar file using the PDA option. Odin has a bootloader option.... in which section do I flash the modem?

I'm new to the s5, haven't had a samsung since the s2 so my memory is a little foggy. I'm about to odin flash the twrp recovery, then my plan is to do a backup on my stock rom then flash cyanogen.
do I need the pit file to flash the recovery? I remember odin being very easy but also very easy to brick so I just want to play it safe

All you're going to need is the TWRP.tar and flash it with the PDA slot in Odin.

Hi I want to know how to flash the stock ROM on the SM-G965U. Where should I download the firmware and what should I use to flash it?
Download the firmware on sammobile and flash it using odin.
or alternatively use the 'samfirm' program (google it) and plug in your phone...click the find firmware and DL it. Then odin it back to stock.
