Lag in Nova launcher - Galaxy Note 4 Themes and Apps

Hey guys,
Do you have lag in Nova launcher when choosing the lollipop style drawer ? The animation when opening the drawer seems to lag a bit on my N910C.
The same animation on my Note3 doesn't lag... Has anyone experienced something similar ?

I'm experiencing the same issue on N910F

I experience the same. I also sometimes have lag when scrolling between pages when using the tablet animation.

[Q] Disable Live Wallpaper Scrolling?

Hai,
I am having a problem with the scrolling of a live wallpaper which I recently downloaded. When switching between homescreens, the wallpaper scrolling stutters horribly and causes the homescreen animation to stutter too. From what I can tell, the problem is not performance-related, as the UI is still running at 60fps while it stutters, so I think it might simply be a problem with the wallpaper.
Is there any way to disable live wallpaper scrolling? The wallpaper itself does not have this option, but I am wondering if there might be another way?
The wallpaper is called "Sakura Falling Live Wallpaper" on the Market.
Thanks! :3

Dude,
I think it's a bit harsh that you've left the dev a user review on Google Play page saying that his app needs fixing when you've only tried it on an unofficial leaked ROM.

I would not have done so were it the case that the ROM could be responsible. The same problem occurs on my ICS Transformer Prime.

Which ROM are you on? Some offer simple flashable mods for disabling wallpaper scrolling (it's a simple integer value in systems).
Also, are you using Stock TW, or an external launcher?

Lockscreen

Hello everyone.
I have a LG Optimus L7 (P700) and I am running on the stock ROM. My lockscreen is sometimes very slow (I have a pattern lockscreen) and I hate seeing that it's not fluid. The same goes for my launcher, but then I installed Nova Launcher which has a great impact on my performance (very fast launcher). I was wondering if there's an app that I can install that gives me a lockscreen based on performance, just like Nova Launcher. I've searched the Play Store and all I could find was an iOS Lockscreen which didn't quite work out for me.
Regards,
Taha

I tested it out and I don't like it that much, because when I lock and unlock my screen it takes 2 seconds to actually make the lockscreen appear.

[Q] Choppy widget animations?

Has anyone else experience this? So far it's happened on both my phone and my friends. All widget animations are choppy. For example scrolling on the stock email widget is choppy and transitions with the feedly widget is choppy as well. I didn't experiance this with my note 4 so anyone else having the same issue?

I get this too with the default touchwiz launcher. With nova launcher it's perfectly smooth.
I switched out of TW a day ago. Moved to Nova and never looked back.

AFAIK, since andorid 10, every launcher have this issue. But it really is not an issue, it's just because android 10 have his own launcher.

The only solution, unfortunately, is to use the OP Launcher.

Question Nova launcher home screen delay

Anyone noticing a delay going back to the home screen in Nova launcher 7.0.57 on this device?
Currently on 12. 5. 6 but this is happening even before on previous ROMs. Now it seems a little bit worse anywhere from 3 to 5 seconds until the home screen loads.
That's an eternity for an Android. Sort it out.
If you're using any kind of power management, try disabling it.
A buggy launcher can boot loop an Android really well
System instability is often the only warning, if any, you will get.
Nova Launcher uses more resources but never saw that kind of lockup with it.

Using Nova paid for version on MMX MIUI and not having any lag. Just have this for cold boot. After that it is fine. On 12.5.6.0 EEA

Would having certain widgets effect the loading time of the homescreen? Even the 2 rows of apps I've created delay from loading.

Anything is possible, wysiwyg.
Something is not optimized or fully compatible it seems.
Nova was slightly slower then my Samsung's native One UI launcher but not terribly so.
I went with the native launcher because of better features, fast response time and better battery life.
So annoying and tried to just remove widgets and reset nova, always a small delay.
Ended up installing Nova 6, previous version and it loads fast barely any delay going to the home screen. Only thing I miss about the new Nova 7 is the extra customizations such as swipe down to launch another app on each application
