[Q] Which Shockproof/dropproof case for z7 mini - ZTE Z7, Z7 Max, Z7 Mini

I bought a new Z7 mini and within 3 weeks i dropped it. I had a clear IMAK naked air case on it and unfortunately it fell at one of the edges where the case is not covered (in the front bottom corner). I had to spend a mini-fortune to send it to china to get it repaired and fixed.
So it proved that these naked aircases do not work.
I am now looking for a full body covered shockproof or drop proof case. Unfortunately there are very limited options for Z7 mini. I am just envious at the options One plus one has.
I am looking for something like
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MQ72YTK/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_YaS7tb1ZA6PN0?tag=viglink20238-20
Can anybody suggest a drop proof case for z7 mini please?

Like this?

I bought a metal frame and tempered glass but I still have to test them.
Anyway there are plenty of choices buy since this phone is made for China market you'll have to search on sites selling from China, like the one above, to see what's available.

ebay cases

I've seen these on ebay - I like slimmer cases/pouches for carrying in the pocket - has anyone tried them?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Original-HTC-...trkparms=65:12|66:2|39:1|72:2140|293:1|294:50
I'm hoping that Beyza come out with one, I've got their Diamond one and it's perfect:
http://www.beyzacases.com/pd-htc-to...vsl16-vertical-leather-case-vintage-brown.cfm
My mates got the first one for his Touch Diamond 2 and my HTC hero doesn't fit inside it very well, too tight.
I've seen this as well - looks nice. It's a generic one though, so don't know how well it would fit. I'd much rather get a dedicated one (Beyza hopefully) though.
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/krusell-luna-pouch-extra-large-black-p19810.htm
i really doubt they would be a good fit for the hero and ive heard that the hero rubs on the inside of them resulting a smudged look on the hero
I've got one similar to the second link, bought from the same seller HERE. My Hero fits nicely inside it and delivery from Hong Kong was quick.

Do you have a white Hero and if so does that pouch stain it at all? I've tried a couple of pouches that stained mine.
no sorry - it's a black G2.
I've just received a gel case with protector from here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180415010020
Really happy with it, and the screen protector is actually really really decent (i.e. fits the whole glass screen) and applied easily with only one tiny tiny mark that I can hardly notice. Not tested over the long term, but I think I paid 30p extra over the case to get this.
yeah ive got a gel case also, the screen protector extra is a must!!
together theyre great at protecting my phone and extremely durable
only thing with that is the phone wont fit in the dock with a case like this on. nice though.
do the cases scratch the back side?
Nah it doesn't scraTch it. I've had the gel case on my hero for around 3 months now and the back is in pristine condition
this is the case i use, its the best one i have had yet, it comes with a pretty decent screen protector aswell. Its the hardest, most rigid skin i've had but its still flexible enough that it won't crack or split and it much better quality than the flexishield ones (i've tried one of those aswell). My phone takes some serious hammer and it still looks brand new after 6 months! lol...which even surprises me.

There is a lot to choose from on the mobile fun website. Heres one like the beyza one
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/capdase-smart-pocket-for-htc-hero-p22635.htm
The Capdase Soft Jacket 2 Xpose is great.
finally got one of these ebay "soft silicon gel" transparent cases. looks ok, feels ok... no complaints really, I think it will protect my Hero just fine and isn't bulky. only 5$ including shipping
I'm using the Zagg invisibleSHIELD. I've used this on quite many of my phones, and it's great. Protects only against scratches, but on the other side, I've never been a phonecase guy, and scratches is my main phone problem. Or I'd rather say; WAS!
Capdase Smart Pocket
I should be getting my hero at the weekend thanks to an upgrade with t-mobile and I really like the look of the Capdase smart pocket for it.
I've had a look on mobilefun (linked above) and also found another site that lists it called vinko's treasures. Neither of them seem to have it in stock.
Does anyone know anywhere that stocks these cases or of any similar pouch cases that are designed to fit the hero?

I was using a gel case up to about 2 or 3 months ago, but it started to yellow quite badly. I stopped using it, and my Hero has been fine without it.

Why don't try something which is in good quality
I bought a case from ebay before, It is attractive because it sells in a lower price,
but seems I was unlucky, the case damage within about 2 month - loose sewing and can't fit to the charger hole
I try serveal online store, which I would highly recommend to you is PDair,
you may check this out:
http://www.pdair.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=10100000_900000_11000759
They keep the quality well and the price can be acceptable
I bought the HTC case for now. Seems to protect the phone just fine if not the best fitting case going. I've found another site that stocks the Capdase one called MobiMega (can't post links just yet) and the price works out quite cheap too. Might have to get one ordered up to compare.

T Mobile compact V Screen protector

Hi can anyone recommend a screen protector for a MDA compact V -
i had ordered a martin field screen protector for a diamond2 but it is competely the wrong shape ( ordered from a reputable supplier so fairly certain its not a fake.)
the one that came with the phone is pretty scratched up and and desperately in need of replacement.
any help greatfully recieved.
thanks
maybe its a fake.....
em......
just to add the SP does not have a space for the video calling camera, maybe it is a fake but i got it from mobilefun.co.uk
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/martin-fields-screen-protector-htc-touch-diamond2-p19940.htm
could anypne clarify if the diamond 2 has a video calling camera on the front?
thanks
Yup, it does
guess that confirms it - i emailed producers of martin fields SP and they were not bothed by someone selling fakes with thier name on it....
so back to my original question does anyone kow of a SP that fits the compact V? even T mobile dont sell one.
seller on ebay - protectionfilms24 sells MDA Compact V screen protectors, pack of 6,
I bought some, they do fit and are ok but to be honest I liked the one that came with the phone but have been unable to find them anywhere too. You would think Tmobile would sell them as they should be a good (probably high profit) seller !

I was looking for a replacement screen protector for my new Compact V because I find the one T-Mobile supplied smears and fogs the screen when viewed in unfavourable lighting. Don't you find this also?

Let us know how you get on - I also bought a TD2 screen protector that didn't fit because of the slightly different shape of the Compact V and am looking for a replacement.
htc pure aka compact v?
i have just ordered one from
www.protectionfilms24.com
will let you know how it fits.....
on another question has anyone found a gel like case for the compact V? is it true that the HTC pure is the smae as the compact V
I have just got one of the DuraSec High Tec screen protectors from
http://www.durasec.com/catalog/index.php?language=en
It good quality but a bugger to fit but for £9.00 including postage it was worth it.

well this one from amazon fits like a glove, excellent coverage and super smooth - would recommend!
I recommend this auction. For little more than £3 you get 6 screen protectors. Sure, they are not the best, supersonic stuff you can buy, but they are very decent at the same time.

Never saw one, also looking for one for ages.
I am thinking about making my own, by neatly wrapping the viewpad 7 in Saran Wrap (plastic cling wrap) and then coating it or "dipping" it in something called "plasti dip" found in Home depot, Lowes, etc.... Just need some time to experiment with it...
hi i have some case for the viewpad7 I can give you th link later

Continuing the quest to search for a silicone case and/or screen protector - no luck yet, but -
just came across 2 new eBay listings for Viewpad 7 only (not for the 7e, 7x, etc.) - prices are in U.S. dollars:
This is $9.75 with free shipping within US - looks good & has openings for the rear & front camera, very similar to the stock one - maybe just a tiny bit smaller in overall size, good for slipping into a jacket or daypack, etc.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ViewSonic-V...?pt=US_Tablet_Accessories&hash=item1c2231f2ff
This is pricey at $32.99 + $3.99 for shipping - looks nice, real leather, custom openings & slots, kind of "designer" verison - not sure if anyone wanted to spend that much.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cover-Up-Vi...er_MP3_Player_Accessories&hash=item27c1d094d1
My stock one is showing some normal wears & tears, playing too much Angry Birds & Mahjong on it lately, but fortunately, the multi-touch screen is holding up nicely as it's well protected when not in use - not a scratch on it, yet.
If anyone plan to get one soon, please post feedback & share - thanks & Happy New Year !
Too bad there are neither soft silicone or hard bumper cases available anywhere for the Viewpad 7, as far as I know (local Viewsonic salespeople didn't know of any either) . The original heavy "book covers" are just too thick to be practical for daily use at the office. I'm a fan of the 7" size, it's almost identical with the larger Moleskine notebooks I favor, and the awful covers just make using the VP7 unbearable.
Being just as slippery as one other Foxconn smartphone with a fruit and a number "4" on it, the VP7 really needs something to prevent it slipping from your grip.
I recently dropped one Viewpad on a tile floor. The screen was neatly cracked from one corner and after having the glass replaced, I would hate to go through the trouble (and the cost) again...
Any help finding a suitable protector would really be appreciated. I'll let you know, too, if I happen to find out something.

Leather case for Xperia Mini Pro

I just wanted to say that I bought the sand colored KRUSELL KALIX MOBILE CASE for my Xperia Mini Pro and it works great, looks great too!
At first it was a very tight fit but after stretching the leather some it isn't a problem anymore, fits like a glove but is still quite easy to remove from the case.
Holster
I've bought a couple of small mobile cases from Auto Zone that I thought were perfect for my x10 minipro. They have a front pocket for the phone with a velcro flap to hold it in and a small zipper pocket behind which I carry the headset and a spare battery. It's a perfect fit for the phone.
The only problem I have with the case is that it is very cheaply made and eventually the swivel for the belt clip wears out (which is why I've bought a couple of them). I'd love to find a similar case (but better built), but I haven't had any luck finding one.
I posted here because I ordered the new minipro last weekend, hopefully it will be here tomorrow or Friday.
dave
Where did you get the case for Xperia Mini Pro. All the cases I find are for Xperia 10 Mini/pro - the previous version of the phone
I can confirm the quality of the Krusell case, as i have bought a leather one for my big X10 and willing to buy a similar for my xperia mini pro.
Just trying to find the right one...
@OP Can you send a link to where you bought this case, I can't seem to find it with my Googleskills
Sent from my Xperia Mini Pro using the Internet
I use photo camera case "Hama HardCase Carbon Style 60H Black" Its made of durable materials - ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) for high protection, internal dimensions: 6.5 x 3 x 10.5 cm.
Very cool
I'm currently using my old cheap case bought for my x10 mini pro, but shopping around for a cigarette case. It's about the same size as a pack of smokes and I could stow the headset in the lighter pocket.
Sent from my SK17a using xda premium
can you guys post some pics of your leather cases for the mini pro?
I just use a Golla pouch rather than a leather case... I prefer skulls..
If you do an image search for "Golla Smart Bag - TOMB" .. It Has a section for your headest or a spare battery or stuff to smoke or .. well whatever...

That looks identical to the one I bought - though I got mine from ebay (many traders sell the same thing on both Amazon and ebay in the UK).
It's fine - dirt cheap but doesn't look at all bad. It holds the phone reasonably well - not 100% clamped into place but it's not going to fall out. The cutaways are well placed - no problems with the speaker or camera and all buttons accessible. It doesn't affect the sliding action - it just grips the keyboard section and you slide the screen out when you want to type. It's firm but slim - no real padding - but it doesn't add too much bulk to the phone.
Minor niggle - the flap over the top covers the USB port so you have to have the case "unlocked" to use that. On the upside - it leaves the headphone socket clear.
Given the material it's made off, I suspect it won't last for very long before the "leather" cracks along the creases but for the money - it's still good value.
is there anything like a rather basic kind of leather protection (or similar) I can simply put my phone in and which also has a window to see the touchscreen (in order to see the time without having to get it out of the cover)? not talking about hard cases here.

Armor Lighting case

Hi all,
I'm looking for the official Armor Lighting case for the ROG 2, but no luck so far.
Anyone found it for sale online anywhere?
At Giztop.com. https://www.giztop.com/official-armor-lighting-case-for-asus-rog-phone-2.html
Can somebody tell me what this Armor Lighting case can do? I don't find any information about this in the web... is the back a second display??

I found this video.
https://i.imgur.com/CYNWQxt.mp4
It seems to be just a background that lights up a little.
It's not a screen.
Yes, it is a LED powered backplate with cutouts for different Lighting effects, not a screen.
I'm however looking for a (third) variant not available on Giztop with some ROG logo graphics. The ones I see on Giztop are the two with some Chinese game design. Maybe it will be launched later.
Anyone got it yet?
Still looking...
The official armor case for Asus Rog Phone 2, covers the lower led on the back of the smartphone.
You can see 2 flashlight led on the right of the back camera.
The upper one is the flash, used in videos or when taking a picture, or even when the torch is on.
The lower one is used for the official armor (or third-part official case armor), to give the case a light effect.
The official armor case for Asus Rog Phone 2 has the words "Republic of Gamers" backlighted in all colours, just like the ROG logo does, without the official armor case on, or without a case.
The big question is this: if the first led is meant only for torchlight or flashlight, then why does it lights in many color as well, when the official/third-part armor case is on?!? Is this a precise will of Asus, or is it a bug???
Just bought one!
It’s now available on the Asus shop. Also the twinview dock as well.
I would add the link but it’s not allowed.

That armor case is not yet out in European market, yet. Even if I found it on a Swedish site, but it's only for pre-order. Since in Sweden they use Swedish Crown as currency, I converted it and it's about 34Euros.
So, we European dudes have to wait in order to get that (coooooool) armor case.
Got mine yesterday, there alot less lighting option for it then the light on the back of the phone.. but it's still pretty nice

I am pretty sure they will add more lightning effect on it with third-part apps and/or updates for the phone and its rom stock.
Because this armor case is not that cheap, so I think they will develop it. Or, you know, I hope for it!
This case have limited open window for lighting to go through. But its a great case. I like it.
Here's a small video.

Hi Cypher. I have plenty questions for you: does this particular case feel soft? Hard? Rubbish? Plasticky? Does this case cover the upper part of the display with raised edges, in order to protect it if it crashes on the ground, or in order to prevent the screen to touch the surface if I place it upside-down? The phone is fixed and motionless once engrafted in this case, or does the smartphone woobles (even if just a bit) into this case?
A case may even be cool and stilish too, but a case is made to be an armour against scratches/hits/falls, and its primary porpouse is to keep the smartphone safe against accidents.
Thanks in advice for the answers
It's hard plastic. Its got raised edges that protects the screen when faced down or from drops (hopefully). But from the pic, my tempered glass is slightly over those protective case edges. So if mine does end up dropping face first, I hope the tempered glass will go first. The case is solid tight, to the fact that i hate it when trying to removing it when i want to play and connect the thin bumper and aero cooler.
Damn that's not much of a front lip
