Reboot your phone.
Check for the SuperSU app installed on your phone.
If the SU app doesn't appear, try 2-3 times more, your phone will be rooted.
Congrats, your phone will be rooted.
Recovery
The method for entering the recovery on HTC's website is wrong and plainly opens the factory test mode.
For entering the recovery, Switch off your phone.
Press and hold the Power and Vol Up button simultaneously.
Now relax. Use only Volume Down to Scroll and Voume Up to select.
Select Recovery from the list by pressing Volume up while highlighting it.
You are now booted into Recovery. This recovery is a plain Android 3e recovery but with a Nandroid Backup/Restore functionality.
Alternatively if you rooted your phone, you can grab a terminal emulator from the Play Store type in:
Code:
su
Allow it SU access.
type in:
Code:
reboot recovery
You will be rebooted into recovery.
Installing BusyBox
Install the official BusyBox app from Google Play.
Install BusyBox using the app, it will take more than 1 try. Keeping on trying to install until it finally does. Took 4-5 tries for me.
Flashing the CWM Recovery
Download this file.
Install Flashify from the Google PLay Store.
Take a backup using the app.
Flash the .img you downloaded in the first step.
Note: There have been problems mounting the internal SD memory with the CWM Recovery. So as of now please use an external SD card.

it's not an exact replica of what you'll see on your phone, but it's pretty close. check out the youtube vid in the above link to see it "live".
Download:
DukeOS-bootanimationLOW-cwm.zip (1.9M)
INSTALLATION (for those who need it):
copy the file to your phone (i use sshdroid to copy it to my /mnt/sdcard/)
run System Recovery and choose Recovery Mode (make sure power is plugged in)
wait... (could it boot up past the Motorola logo any slower?)
select Install zip from SDCARD
select choose zip from internal sdcard (or just sdcard, your mileage may vary)
scroll down until you find the DukeOS-bootanimationLOW-cwm.zip file
hit your power button to select it
scroll down to Yes - Install DukeOS-bootanimationLOW-cwm.zip and hit your power button to select it.
watch the quick install screen
scroll down to Go Back and hit the power button again.
Reboot system now should be highlighted, hit the power button to reboot.

Froyo and GB were released and available for Atrix 4G users in 2011. Users were using this boot animation back then. Its 2013, and we have Froyo, GB, ICS, and JB. Switching boot animations is done on ALL versions and ANY ROM.

[Q] P769 Stock Recovery Mode

Wondering if there is a stock recovery mode for the P769. I know there's a recovery partition but I'm not sure if you can get an HBoot menu. I held down Power and Volume Down from a powered off state, but it simply displayed the LG logo, vibrated, and then powered off. I've also read that there is a button combination to do a Hard Reset. Anyways, I'm wondering if doing this
Code:
adb reboot recovery
would get an HBoot menu, simply turn off, or do a hard reset. Also, if that command gets to HBoot then what button combination can you do to get to it?
Do u mean CWM recovery? Its here

I think he means the stock recovery that comes with the phone, as for the button combination, I dunno. holding the down button while powering on the phone always sent me into safe mode.
I can get into recovery mode by holding Vol Up + Home + Power
The screen say that this mode is use in LG service center to backup data. When phone connect to computer it show 2 removable drive but cannot access it. No use for me.
If you want to reboot your phone just hold power button for 10 seconds it'll shutdown. Then you can power on again.
Edit: Shutdown by holding power button 10 seconds not 10 minutes.

I wonder what we can do at this special menu.....
saturnianalien: The L9 devices do not have the standard recovery menu like the HTC devices do(This is the recovery menu that looks like CWM).

So what does the recovery partition in the L9 do? If I rebooted into recovery with adb, where would that get me?

I don't know what we can do in this stock recovery mode. I can pull files from some directory via adb pull, but cannot use adb shell.
After this I just reboot my phone with adb reboot
LG stock recovery is limit. Samsung stock recovery allow me to flash some zip.
This is the same thing I get....

Here. Tested and works on bulldog's DN4 Port.
Longpress on menu gives SFinder not google shortcut for me.
Backup your existing files first. Easiest way is to extract the zip and replace with what you got in your rom, rename it and zip it back, so you don't get mixed up btwn current and this zip:

First thing you must Backup your system. to restore it just in case you failed
1-Put the zip file "Hardware_key_remap" in your SD Card
2-Reboot your phone and hold down Volume Up, Center Home, and Power button together.
When you see the Samsung logo, let go buttons
You should now be in CWM Recovery.
3-Install the zip file from SD Card
4-Reboot
It will effect my system

[Q] Huawey y300-0100 image signature verify fail

Hi guys, sorry if this is in the wrong section.
My brother has a Huawey y300-0100 (u8833 I believe), I rooted it for him with no issues, and installed TWRP via the app in the google playstore, but forgot I needed to unlock the bootloader, and now because of that everytime I power it on I get this error:
Image signature verify fail
Your boot/recovery image may have an incorrect signature.
Please update your image to a signature official one

I have no idea how to fix this, I have read some forums but was unable to understand anything other than the access to the pink screen.. any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance.
update: I fixed it, I downloaded the official rom from the Huawei website and put it on the external sdcard, then held down V- V+ and Power while it was off, it installed the stock rom back onto the device and everything works perfectly, close the thread as you wish

How did it worked on your device, mine says falure while installing rom download from huawei official website. What is the solution to it.
Do anybody have any idea, please help. I have also not unlocked bootloader.
Get the official ROM from Huawei website. Unzip, and copy the contained folder 'dload' (with the UPDATE.APP file in it) to a microSD-card. Pull your phones battery, insert the SD-card. Put battery back in.
Hold down both Volume buttons (+ and -), and hold down Power to turn on the device.
It should start updating, stock reflashing the phone. If not, the problem is most likely your SD-card.
I also ended up in 'brick-lite' mode by trying to replace the bootloader without unlocking. Above worked for me, and by calling Huawei I got the right unlock code, unlocked, and has the bootloader replaced and the system SU'ed so far.
Tips to others with issues:
Vol + and power on == bootloader
Vol - and power on == locked in logoscreen, turns on ADB fastboot mode (for unlocking bootloader etc)
Both Vol and power on, SD card in reader == factory reflash (file must be on SDcard)
Both Vol and power on, no SD card == Pink mode
Almost there and then it failed...

[Guide] [MM] [6.0.1] [Stock] Root + Magisk + Xposed - J7 2015

[MM] [6.0.1] [Stock] Root + Magisk + Xposed - SM-J700H (may work on other variants)*
The only reason that I've created this thread is simple, I couldn't find any proper guide to root my J7 device and the ones that are available aren't helpful at all as they are outdated methods and are obsolete.
I spent a lot of time on the internet finding these packages and in the end finally it worked like a charm!
So, here it goes!
Backup your DATA before proceeding
Optional: You should download the stock base flash file, just in case
Download the latest recovery for your device:

Download the following package and extract it:

You'll find these files once you extracted the package
Install the apks as they are ordered (leave those 2 zip files as they will be flashed through the recovery)
Now enter into the download mode of your phone by pressing the following keys in combination VOL DOWN + HOME KEY + POWER KEY and connect it to the PC/Laptop. Hit up the ODIN and flash the downloaded recovery.
Follow this procedure as shown in the image, in order to flash the recovery. (Download the ODIN software from the google. I'm sorry I can't provide you the link) :silly:
Make sure you also have installed the Samsung USB Drivers as well! Otherwise ODIN won't detect your device.
Click to collapse
Now as soon as ODIN flashes the recovery it'll reboot your device in an instance, so keep that in mind, once it does you only need to hold VOL UP + HOME KEY + POWER KEY and if you done it properly and in synchronized time, you'll see the SAMSUNG LOGO and on the top of it a sentence marked in RED color will be shown and after that it'll boot up the recovery.
Now flash those 2 ZIP files which were left before in order through the recovery:
Reboot your phone once you have done flashing those 2 ZIP files (the first reboot may take some time)
If all done according to the steps, then congratulations you've rooted your phone along with installing XPOSED
Proof:
All credits goes to the DEVS who have created these wonderful tools
Enjoy and don't forget to hit the :good:
