Miui for VZW LG G3? - Verizon LG G3

There's an old closed thread for the LG g3. I'm wondering if miui would ever "come back" to the G3. Anyone with?!?

Second that. I find myself checking everyday to see if someone is porting it. I doubt it will ever happen though at least until version 6 comes full circle. Used to be my favorite rom back in the day

Right?? I miss it a ton. It'd be cool if someone could take over. I saw on the miui site a rom for the LG G3, but I doubt it's compatible with the VZW G3.

JB from LG spotted for Korean phones.

Don't flash this on At&t. It will work but you will not have a working phone or data. You also might have a lot of trouble getting 3g/4g to work when you flash back.
I know it is for the Korean version but I thought your devs might find a way to download and take a peek. The site is in Chinese and I can't figure it out.

I am sure something more substantial will pop up very soon.
Here is an official video of the new LG Jelly Bean on the Optimus G too.

Doubt we'll see it soon. AT&T still needs to get it's grimy little hands on it. I say two months before they start releasing it, then they'll stop updates because of issues with AT&T crap, then try again after another month. Textbook OTA updates.
Well more of hoping that the Korean source will help our developers

Official AT&T JB upgrade is 6 months away, if we are lucky. A strong possibility that LG will renege on their promise to bring JB to US. But, no worries, as we have devs who are working hard to bring us JB and more. Right, devs?
ATT still needs to add the required bloatware before releasing it after LG does. I even unlocked my bootloader using shellnutt's $1 app on Google Play to show some support. hell i even logged in and did my first post after being registered for 6+ years with 0 posts to thank the devs on their posts!

I know with the inspire, the device here able to port the leaked desire hd roms over just updated the kernel for the inspire

You guys want some good news?
I worked a 96 hour shift minus 12 I came home to run errands. Well, I was going to flash one of the roms but I could at work. Everyone thought I was crazy but I knew the hardware was just too similar.
Anyways, someone flashed the firmware and it worked. One of the roms is a CDMA Rom but it is set up for a different frequency. Everything works but no phone or data. WiFi even worked.
So, I don't know if one of you want to try it but the K or S version might work on at&t.
Check and see what frequency they are on and try that one. You might have everything but lte.
Anyways, I am not sure how different the At&t phone is but it is worth a try.
Do it at your own risk.

SFR said that LG confirmed the update. Either way, this is pretty great news. Let's hope it makes it's way to the AT&T variant
I dont care if the carrier releases it(it would be nice tho) just as long as an official LG optimus G rom is out there I will put it on my phone. I just love the LG UI. I am using a cm11 which is pretty good
Actually, E970 should get Kit Kat earlier than the other variants
LG has already updated the User Agent Profile on its official website:
Old http://gsm.lge.com/html/gsm/E970-M6-D1.xml
New http://gsm.lge.com/html/gsm/E970-M10-D1-KK.xml
G Pro now has a similar profile and it has been updated recently:
http://gsm.lge.com/html/gsm/E980-M10-D1-KK.xml
You can try to put different numbers instead of "970" and check corresponding UAPs

Basically, these links detail backend support details about the system for the official E970 KitKat ROM. It doesn't really contain anything particularly useful per se, but the fact that it exists shows that official KitKat Does exist for the E970.

This is awesome. I sure hope AT&T delivers on this one.
Yeah, I don't expect this at all, with how bad LG is with updating their phones, plus AT&T pushing an update out on a phone this old. I really hope they do, but I have no hope they will.
Still no news about the update for e970. :/
But the official kitkat port is really smooth and stable. I'm grateful that we have such awesome developers working for our device.
im having trouble with messaging threads on Paulicat's but other than that and wifi shutting off every once and a while the rom is better than an lg/att release of it. Their release would have too much bloatware.

I'm new to Verizon the G3 is my first phone with this carrier. Why does Verizon remove the stock browsers?
I'm having trouble with Chrome's latest update causing rendering problems on Web pages with animated GIFS on them. I went to go look for the LG browser and to my surprise there was none. Did a search and found this thread...

I'm on Verizon's edge plan. Have been for little over a month. I want the nexus 6 when they have it in the store. I'm rooted. Would it be bad if I bump'd it and installed a Rom on my g3? Or should I just wait? How do I unroot when the time comes?

When I joined the edge program, I traded in my unlocked, rooted Galaxy S3. When I traded in my Note 3 for the LG G3, it was also rooted. All they care is that the device boots up and isn't damaged.
I'm debating jumping to the Nexus 6 when it comes out, it all depends on dev support now that the G3 has been opened up.

If I understand correctly, you can't run a Rom with a different base as the stock Rom. So most aosp and lollipop Roms are out. And on my n5 I ran the loli dev preview. Its nice and clean. I loved it.

"Bone up"? So are you saying I'm dead wrong? I thought that was the case. It had to have the same base or something. I don't know. [Q] Any install the new G3 update?

I saw that there was a software update for the G3. I saw it at gsmarena but I am unable to post a link.
I downloaded the LG Support Tool, but my Sprint G3 cannot connect because the tool does not have drivers for the LGLS990. It is supposed to improve battery life and speed up the UI, basically getting rid of any perceived lag.

No apology necessary. That article was vague on which g3 got the update. There are so many variants of each phone these days, that you have to be careful to make sure you are reading about the right version you have.

An amazing amount. That was my first android device, and I learned root on it. Every device (I've had) since hasn't seen 1 tenth the amount of development. There's like 130+ pages if development for it lol. That phone also proves the argument when people say HTC is bad about updates, that phone got many.

There's like 130+ pages if development for it lol. That phone also proves the argument when people say HTC is bad about updates, that phone got many.

Noticed this article this morning mentioning that the LG G3 could see the update by the end of the year. Not sure exact models mentioned but it may include all. Time will tell.
