[Q] HardBricked Android (SIII Mini) - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi XDA-developers, I have a SIII Mini and I flashed a custom rom but it failed, my phone restarted and now it won't charge or go on, I don't want to use the USB JIG way , so does anyone have a fix for a hardbricked S3 Mini?

Boot into download mode with vol down + home + power. Download your stock firmware from sammobile.com
Use ODIN to flash it. (ODIN has a thread here)
Note: Always add your tar.md5 file to the PDA section of ODIN. NOT Phone.

Thanks but its hardbricked

[Q] Odin communicator stop working!!

help me please.. i'm new here.. my phone bricked(show at samsung logo), and i try to use odin 1.85 with pda.tar on this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1552792.. when i click start on odin the thread show up.. what i need to do..
by the way i'am using s5830i
1.You need to go to download mode on your phone
2.press power then volume up, volume down and you will go to download mode
3.then connect usb cable to computer and phone
windows 7 will install drivers for your phone (wait for it)
4.then start odin
5. load pda.tar dont touch anything and let the process finished like
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1552792
----------------------------------
Flashing s5830i with Odin v1.85
1.Turn off the phone and put it in Download mode by pressing Power+Volume Up+volume down.
2.Open Odin v1.84.Run as Administrator!.
3.Put the files in Odin and don't touch the settings
4.If it's a one-file firmware put it in PDA section.
If it's multiple put the files in the correct section.
5.Click start and don't touch the phone!Don't turn off computer and don't unplug the phone! It will reboot automatically and the first boot will take some time,so don't panic!
If you have "bricked" your s5830i a.k.a stuck at samsung logo just download Odin and flash PDA.tar form the link.
http://www.4shared.com/file/Ls2CAsHv/PDA.html
Everything you're doing is up to you!I'm not responsible if you don't read! There's a binary counter on s5830i so be careful with flashing!

Stop spamming the board =) Or else no one will help u :/
First check it's model number. GT-I9100G, GT-I9100, GT-I9100T, ..........etc
Download Stock Firmware from sammobile.com for your S2 model specific version...
Put your mobile in to Odin mode.
Download and Run Odin on PC.
Connect mobile to PC using USB cable.
Select PDA section on Odin. Select downloaded stock firmware.
Flash & leave rest to Odin!
Phone will be back to working mode. Next time root before flashing custom ROM!

When the phone turns on it'll write the model number. then search sammobile.com or checkfus for that model number's firmware. download and go into odin mode.
a simple google search would be enough, don't need to spam the entire board

SGA S5830i OS corrupt, wish to install stock rom from another ace. But How ?

Hi,
I played inside the system files of my rooted SGA S5830i and accidently deleted a log file, I am sorry I don't remember the name. Now, I see an error message always when I open contacts - android.process.acore has stopped working. Same is the case when I open messages - and it takes me to HomeScreen. I tried downloading a lot of Gingerbread OS version .tar files for my model and nothin works through ODIN as well as through Recovery Mode.
Odin says 'connecting' but no luck. Tried different versions of ODIN, removed SD, removed SIM, removed battery and tried aagin and such, but nothing woked yet.Even tried different USB hubs.
Recovery mode just abort the installation of OS Zip file
So I am planning to root another SGA S5830i of my friend, take a back-up of OS and install it to my SGA. I don't think it will work as it never worked through any of the above mentioned methods to flash a ROM.
Can somebody help me in this matter, please ?
First of all, you have to read the RULES!
There is a separate section for questions and trouble shooting. POST IN CORRECT SECTION!
Install proper Samsung drivers. Make sure that odin detects port of the device.
Odin v. 3.07 supports firmware files without splitting. Other versions needs splitted firmware. Use splitfus to do that.
Flash custom roms via clockworkmod recovery.

I tried with all versions of ODIN, but of no use.
Now when I tried through Recovery Mode, the error message says ' Thereis no enough space on the device '
Please Help !
If you want install ROM for your ace"i" you must buut your phone into download mode(not recovery mode/CWM) than install ROM with ODIN .
May I know the difference b/w Recovery Mode & Download Mode ?
What I understans from Recovery Mode is to Press Volume Up button + Home Screen button + Powen On button simultaneously.
Is that different from Download Mode ?

Help with stuck s6 edge

My Samsung is Stuck on the splash screen and does not move!
Ive tried downloading a stock 5.1.1 rom to flash but whenever i extract it i get a .cpgz file instead of a .tar.mp5 file.
What is going on and how can i fix my phone! P.S I only have access to Jodin3 Casual as i only have a Mac computer.
go to samsung-updates.com and search for your model...download it and flash it....but first, you can boot into recovery and do a factory reset. press volume down and power, when the screen goes off...quickly press volume up,home buttom and power to boot into recovery.

look on samfirm. download stock firmware for your device model. this will be an MD5 file. enter download mode (vol down, home and power button )flash it with odin.
if this doesn't work try to do emergency software upgrade via smart switch.
1st option should work but you need odin 3.10. a windows pc will be best.
