Research on unbreaking Xiaomi Mi 3
Firstly, I left the Xiaomi Mi 3 aside for 24 hours to drain it's battery. After that, I charge it and could see the blinking red color LED (symptom of battery depleted) and left it to charge for more than 12 hours. The issues I higlighted above remained the same.
So I did some research and found the 3 links (links at end of this post) which helped me to figure out how to unbreak my Xiaomi Mi 3.
The steps below is for cases of soft break. For hard break, you will need to follow the complete instructions from the thread below: "Unbrick YourCompletely Dead Mi3 With No Fastboot/Recovery".
STEPS
1. Download MiFlash tool from here
2. Download Xiaomi Phone Manager from here
3. Reboot Windows 8.1 in safe mode, select “Disable driver signature enforcement” option. Refer to this link on how to do this. Applicable to Windows 8 and not Windows XP
4. When the Mi 3 is connected to computer by USB, in device manager, the detected device "QHSUSB_BULK" is with "!".
Image taken from here
5. Click on "QHSUSB_BULK" to install drivers by pointing to the directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Xiaomi\MiPhone\Qualcomm\Driver\serial
6. Follow the MiFlash steps from the thread below : "Unbrick Your Completely Dead Mi3 With No Fastboot/Recovery". Note that you do not need to remove the back cover of Xiaomi Mi 3 nor to use wire to short the two contact points of Xiaomi Mi 3's motherboard as shown in the thread.
7. After the flashing is completed, press Power button for about 20 seconds, and my Xiaomi Mi 3 booted up successfully.

Thanks - I have successfully flashed it this way many times and got the download to 100% with the green tick, the same as your screenshot, but it still will not boot or show any sign of activity with or without the battery (There is not even any sign that it is charging).
When plugged to the PC, device manager recognises that something is plugged in, but just disconnects and reconnects, without actually finding the phone.
Ran through successfully (on both download and also with format/download as per your screenshot,but the phone is still dead)

Hard Bricked brand new Xiaomi Mi Pad 3. Please help!!

So, I've bought a Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 with a Chinese Rom, and I was following a tutorial to flash a new rom into it.
I basically did the following:
Installed MediaTek Drivers on PC
Opened "Smart Phone Flash Tool"
Specified Download-Agent as DA_SWSEC.bin and Scatter-loading File as the ROM
Unchecked preloader and clicked on "Download"
Connected the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 to the computer while pressing Volume Down
Then, at this point, the computer crashed with a blue screen of death with the error "BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER". Here is the diagnosis of the error:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
After that, the Mi Pad won't turn on, won't respond to any button and is not recognized by the computer.... I think I might have hard-bricked it.
I've found a tutorial about recovering a Mi Pad 1, but one of the steps is to make a bridge in the SD Card slot, which Mi Pad 3 don't seem to have.
I'm a developer myself, I know my way on things, I have a VM Linux, I'm willing to open the tablet and do whathever it costs to recover it.
Please, what can I do??
Please, anyone?
I FUC*ING RECOVERED MY FUC*ING TABLET. FUC* YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know exactly what it was, but I kinda did the following:
- Installed the latest SP Flash tool from spflashtool.com on my PC
- Installed Mi PC Suite for drivers and such
- To help debug, I had a freeware called "Free Device Monitoring Studio", to better understand what's going on on my USB ports
- I was playing a little with the connection/desconnection of the device on my computer, trying to understand how it was. I saw that Kali Linux running under Oracle VM kinda recognized it as a Mediatek device, but couldn't do anything else than that. With that info, my hopes went a little higher, because it wasn't completely dead after all.
- I opened Flash tool, configured it to used the same ROM and files I was using when I bricked it, because I'm pretty sure they weren't the cause of the brick and clicked "Download"
- Then I began messing with the tablet trying to make it be recognized by SP Flash Tool, upon turning it on and off and switching USB ports and connecting them directly to the motherboard USB ports instead of the frontal USB ports
- Then at one point it suddenly recognized and started downloading and flashing the new ROM. I faced some errors but with Format all + Download and having to disconnect/reconnect the batery to make it recognizable again and some little tweaks here and there, it ended up working.
My tablet is working fine now

[HELP] Bricked Redmi Note 4

Hi! I think I hard bricked my Redmi Note 4. I tried to install Lineage OS 16, unlocked bootloader and installed TWRP. However, after installing the Lineage OS it keept boot looping. I did all the procedure of wiping davilk, data, cache and system, then went to install and I added this packages: Lineage OS 16, Gapps, Lineage SU addon, unlock_bootloader ZIP, Lazyflasher and Universal DM-Verity, ForceEncrypt.
After flashing it just turned off and now I cannot turn it on. I held power button for 5 minues, nothing. Can't enter fastboot, screen doesnt turn on at all. When I plug it to charger it blinks red notification light. When I connect it to the PC I hear the Windows 10 notification sound but Windows says it cannot recognize the device.
I'm desperate, I think I've tried everything. Please HELP!
If you have the Snapdragon version, try to put it in EDL mode (entering it with the test points, you have to remove the back cover) and reflash an official rom with Mi Flasher. Then you go from the beggining in order to install your custom rom.
I tried that but I can not make it to short the circuits. I followed this inctruction https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-4/help/xrn4-sd-4-gb-64gb-black-screen-flash-t3761858 but I can't get anything other than "Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 900E". Idk if I need a special kind of metal to short it or maybe the pins are shown incorrectly. I have the Snapdragon version.

The pins shown are correct. Try with sharp scissors or a tiny plier. An option is a cable with solid core.. If you get "Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 900E" you are ready to go to Mi Flash, there is no problem that "9008" does not show up..
I did it, this is what I get from MiFlash

you get it imidiatelly or at the end? If you get it at the end, try to ignore it and start the phone.. Otherwise try changing at the right bottom of mi flasher to "clean all" and try again. Also i found something here at the k20 threads, you uncheck the check point from the condifuration of the mi flash..
Cleaning the checkpoint thing worked and MiFlash said the flash was successful, but the phone still doesn't turn on or give any signs of being alive. I guess the only hope now is to give it to repair when the whole covid thing ends. Anyways, thanks for helping me.

Umidigi A7 Pro

Hello. I purchased an A7 Pro, as soon as it arrived it was not doing the updates automatically, so I chose to update with the Flash Tool. I installed this latest version and it was a success.
However, while I was using the device, it crashed, turned off by itself and did not turn on again. I tried to do the process of installing the rom again, but it does not install the preloader because it does not recognize the USB connection as "Mediatek Preloader USB VCOM", in addition to constantly connecting and disconnecting.
Can you help me?

Hi Kzwir,
Since you were able to take a screen capture on your computer of the SP flash tool, I'm assuming that you have figured out how to use the Flash tool. Did you follow the directions on the Umidigi site: https://community.umidigi.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=16931 ?
On the A7 Pro can you boot into bootloader mode? (From Power Off, press power button and volume up button once in the selection screen press the volume up button until you highlight fastboot and then press the volume down button)
If you can get into fastboot/bootloader mode, I would (in an account with administrator privileges) 1. Try a different usb cable, 2. completely uninstall any drivers, reboot the computer and then plug the phone in again while in Fastboot mode and see if it recognizes the connection. 3. Try a different computer - (if you used this computer to flash the phone originally, I suspect that this isn't the issue).
Good luck!

Hi.
I used all the procedures indicated in the official forum, I managed to make the device recognized with the necessary port for formatting (Mediatek Preloader USB VCOM).
The only problem that persists and probably hinders my goal is the intermittent connection and disconnection of the device, not allowing Flash Tool to perform the installation.
In all cases, what happens in the image I posted occurs. It loads the red bar and then does not perform any other procedure.

With an intermittent connection, I would look at 1. a different cable and 1. a different USB port (like the ports on the motherboard vs the front ports on a desktop).
Good Luck!
