[FONT]Roboto Condensed FULL UI - Xperia Z3 Compact Themes and Apps

I did not see this specific font in the Z3 or Z3c threads and I love this font! So I went through and replaced all the files accordingly so Roboto Condensed is consistent throughout the phone and in my opinion looks much nicer. I love this font and figured I would share in case anyone else was as OCD about the consistency of the font on your phone! Of course I have tested this on my own device several times (just to make sure!) and it has worked like a charm. Enjoy!
Thank you to those who have created flashable font packs for giving me an idea of how to put one together myself :silly:
Although I created this using the Z3c fonts folder I'm sure it would also work on the full size Z3!
And the usual PSA:
I assume no responsibility for anything that may happen if something goes wrong!
Edit: Screenshots uploaded! Sorry 'bout that.

I backed up the original files (the hidden ones too) but after copying them back, because of my first thread, to /system/fonts i had no fonts anymore.
Only a restore of system partition in TWRP got my fonts back.
Dont know what I did wrong.

Thank you for the font pack! Ever since I got my Z3C, I've been upset that it doesn't have the 'built in' ability to change fonts (like the Galaxy and One lines). [emoji53]
Just a few questions....
1) How do you install these font packs?
2) Where can I find more font packs?
Thanks! [emoji106]

There's a thread called full font packs for Xperia devices. I think that's what is called is in the Sony cross device forum I think, you just download the pack you want and flash via recovery there's loads to choose from I'm using roboto condensed on my M2 it looks superb.

Font Changer App

I have seen a few Glaciers font's changed using Font Changer from the Market. I downloaded the app and can't figure out where you get the fonts from. The app tells you how to set a font but doesn't say anything about where you get them from. Anyone know?
Are there any fonts anyone recommends? How about posting some screenies showing off your setup.

whether it also can be used in wave or bada os ?
To use font changer you sill need to download the fonts you want and copy them into sdcard/.fontchanger via root explorer. Once you copy the fonts into the .fontchanger folder, you go back to the font changer app, open it and you will see the fonts.
Just click on each and reboot when finish installing all of then.
You can download fonts from here

i use the same thing it's pretty good and simple to use and has a good amount of interesting fonts.
Which font is that your using?
Rooted/OC'd/faux 1.1.4
That looks like sony sketch. Same font I use. I think is the best font.
I like sony sketch but i thought it was too small im using zekton which is pretty much the same thing but slightly bigger
Yep! Using sonysketch
Rooted/OC'd/faux 1.1.7
I noticed that in the app description for custom font changer it says that you must be s-unlocked and have s-off.. Does that mean you must have radio s-off via gfree method and it won't work if you rooted with root.sh?

You have to be S=OFF but don't have to do it with gfree. I have S=OFF using the Visionary method and font changer works just fine.

For some reason Font Installer causes issues with some apps. Let's say you have an app that uses both standard and bold text. Sometimes that app can no longer differentiate between the two with Font Installer installed fonts, so it will use all bold. This is not the case with the standard android fonts
Is there a flashable zip to revert back if need too?
Thanks

the font installer app literally does the same thing as the CWM.
its replacing 3 .ttf files within /system/fonts.
the only difference is with one of the apps, you have the choice of going back to normal or to something else entirely.
the CWM replaces it permanently unless someone provides a CWM to flash back to stock/different font.
the installer will replace it 'permanently' until you select a new font on the installer and install/reboot

I am curious why, then, the app does not let you return to stock. The behavior I mentioned stays the same regardless of the font you use with that app, even the "stock" one displays the same behavior of all text going bold in GMail for instance. The only way to revert back was to replace the files in the system/fonts folder with what was delivered with the stock ROM.

I guess I must have a bug.
I even tried again with a fresh download of the app, I install any font and it messes up Gmail and other apps that use both bold and normal, and reverting to "stock" with the installer app doesn't fix it, I have to manually copy font files back.

Here are orange themed SystemUI and framework-res. I made these from the April 12 nightly. I'm not sure if they will work with any other versions of CM9. Definitely make a nandroid backup before you try them. You can push them via adb or copy them to /system/app/SystemUI.apk and /system/framework/framework.res.apk using something like Root Explorer. If you use something like Root Explorer mount the folder read/write, copy the files, and make sure the permissions are rw-r--r-- like the other files in those folder. Then, simply reboot.
I'm not sure if I'll get around to ever theming any more stuff orange, but it can't hurt to let me know stuff I missed or did wrong.
Enjoy!

Updated!
Updated for the 20120418 official nightly...and zipaligned this time
SystemUI.apk - It adds a new set of battery icons with a little keyboard. I assume that is for when you have an external keyboard attached.
Trebuchet.apk (NEW) - Orange theme added for homescreens and appdrawer. It also replaces the blue architecture wallpaper with an orangified version. It's pretty hideous though. I'll try to come up with something better at some point.
framework-res.apk - Now available and hopefully working too. I've never had any success copy/pasting framework-res. I always have to use adb.

No worries. I'm not really sure I'll be able to keep up with updating this anyway. It's kind of a pain. Hopefully, CM9 Reloaded will support tablets soon.
The newest nightly has Theme Chooser for CM9. Hopefully, someone will make an orange theme. I don't yet know how to make Theme Chooser themes.

I followed your guide to rooting and installed a theme (thanks for that). You also sent me a link to download the stock clocks to modify, but I don't know how to put them back into the watch afterward. Do I just drop the files into a folder on the watch, or is there a more complicated way? I apologize if this has been covered somewhere but I couldn't find it in the 2 threads that I know of about rooting and theming the Gear S.
Thanks

its a gray area, maybe theming? It hasn't been covered, Id probably be the one to cover it but I didn't think anyone would actually mod any of the clocks. Which clock did you change? I'll write something up for it.
I haven't done anything yet. I wanted to make sure I could install it first. The 3rd watch is my favorite stock analog face, so probably that one. But I was thinking of maybe doing something with some of the other faces as well; like the digital ones.
