[LOGO][ANIMATION] More Exclusive Bootanimations/Logos - X 2014 Themes and Apps

So I saw this thread yesterday: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...ogo-bootlogo-bootanimation-exclusive-t3025767 and I found another "Moto_Demo" in the MotoG variant of the Lolipop Rom. So I turned it into another bootanimation and logo. Enjoy.
By the way you should go check out that thread for another awesome exclusive bootanimation. But here is what I have to offer...
Bootanimation:
Logo (Kinda big so I hid it):

The link you have posted for the 1080p version takes me to your Dropbox but the logo.bin file says its 720p. Is that mislabeled?

I think the thread might be mislabeled. I was made aware that the moto x only has a 720p screen not a 1080p one so I must have switched the links. But you can go ahead and try it (at your own risk of course), because even if it doesn't work reverting is very simple.

Ah ok. You're right about it being easy to fix - I just figured I'd ask before I went and flashed it blindly with ADB. Yes, the 2013 Moto X is 720p but the 2014 definitely has a 1080p display. Thanks for your UBER fast response!

The only solution is flash your rom again (without wipes).
And if it don't work, full wipe and flash new firmware.

[BOOT ANIMATION] Android 4.1: Jelly Bean

I tried to make it loop until the phone starts but the Rezound doesn't like when I change the desc file. So it loops three times and fades out. I also put the hTC quietly brilliant in there cause we don't have Nexus'. Of course, if you don't want that in there, I can always take it out.
Instructions:
- Download attached file
- Check your rom and see where the boot animation is located
- Usually can be found in /system/customize/resource with the name Vigor_VZW_bootanimation.zip
- Some roms have it is as bootanimation.zip in /system/media
- Rename downloaded zip to match what your rom has
- Use a root file explorer such as Root Explorer or ES File Explorer
- Backup original by adding .bak to the file name if you wish (Ex: bootanimation.zip.bak)
- Place renamed zip in the correct folder overwriting the original
- Set permissions to rw-r--r-- (not needed but I like to)
- Reboot
- Enjoy

Sent from somewhere using something on some kind of phone.
Here you go friend, I took a crack at it myself and was able to get it to 'loop'. Enjoy
Note: This is flashable, just drop it on your sd and flash in recovery.

I tried yours on my phone and it does the same thing mine was doing to me when I tried to loop it. It shows a few frames then turns to a white screen until it boots. I guess my phone just doesn't like loops. Lol. Even though the ba from One XxX is not a problem.

Idk. Did you ever get that white screen when testing? Or was yours just jumping to the last image of the VZW folder and showing no animation?

I used your rom on the note 2 and loved it. I will be flashing your clean rom next week once i get back from my trip, but i figured id flash this to mess around with while im on my trip first. (my own funny way of doing things)
Im awaiting the postman who is late so i can open up my HTC ONE!
I looked, maybe not very well, but what is the newest or most recommended radio for this? i found the radio threads, but was just curious as to what you use Scott.

I've looked around and it seems it has been an issue on previous HTC phones including the one, so it very well may be an HTC bug with some people, I was just curious if anyone (or all) running this specific rom were experiencing it. Not a big deal, just something I noticed. Again, keep up the great work!

[PORT] [ALPHA] Sailfish OS for the Nexus 5

So I'll make this quick... just doing some google kung fu, I came across a Spanish forum... HTCMania (http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=836297)
Word is that user Davidvaz is responsible for this work and all credit goes to him as such, as I said I didnt' build this, just found it.
Low and behold, someone built a working Sailfish OS port for our Nexus 5... and it's actually pretty dang functional... You had to flash it on top of an existing CM 11 install and stuff.. but I combined the two and rewrote the updater script into one flashable zip.
Here's a rough idea of what works and what doesn't:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Also not working: Terminal Application. Installing applications from the Jolla Market.
This is very much a work in progress but it's very functional and I'm very impressed with Sailfish. Have fun!
Oh! And I'm pretty sure you can make it work with MultiROM if you have a primary that utilizes a kernel with kexec hardboot support... Don't quote me on that! I don't use it so I'm not sure... I'm sure someone will make it work if it doesn't already, though.
Download Mod Edit:Link Removed.. sorry copy.com is lame I guess, haha. Once someone downloads if they could mirror it on mega or someplace.. upload stinks.
Looks interesting, will download once upload's done.
upload is done. let me know if theres any issues with the updater script or flash itself..
Issues with the rom, however, I probably won't be able to assist you with.
Thanks for finding will give it a go....never enough roms for this rock bottom crack flashin fool.... Thanks for feeding my addiction... And glad you checked HTC Mania Ive found a few there, VampSkyDragon (lol that name cracks me up) and SlimVamp (again lol)... Probably one of the least likely Nexus 5 Rom places you'd think to look but they do have some so good lookin out.
So basically any cm11 rom then ill flash it over it?

No need to flash cm11.
It is clearly stated in the op that it is combined and there is no need to flash cm before flashing sailfish os.

Edited OP,
Once someone with a fast connection downloads it, if you could please mirror it on mega or androidfilehost.. my upload sucks
Thanks.
This is only the Sailfish OS, you need to flash CM11 first before flashing this on your Nexus 5.
Mod Edit: Link removed
I tried it, working smoothly, however you cannot install Android Apps yet, Home screen doesn't align well and camera is broken.
Anybody try it out yet and is everything working? Screen shots would be nice to see =) Thanks!
Hi there. I know it's not my problem. But I know the guy who did this work in HTCMania and others here on XDA. He is Davidvaz, I use one of your roms, and I think you should at least mention it here.
At least say his name because many people do not look at the link, just go directly to download
Here's another mirror just in case, hosted personally. Trying to get it running on multirom right now

Will a complete boot and system image help? Someone uploaded for the 727 and I saved it. Otherwise I have already flashed the bootloader t unlock . I really want to get the rom going on the 727. Will get the coffee you deserve as well!

ok well thank you for interest in the phone. Hopefully it keeps building. As far as I know it's just the build prop that makes the difference and then the modem that needs to be flashed for 727 phones (have that if you need also)

yeah so, modem u already have and build prop is not mandatory afaik.
edit: Made incorrect assumption
It's been a hassle but I installed on my x727 and flashed the us modem and so far have superior result.
Has been installed on my 720, in addition to the camera you have declared can not work, the other is great. This is a good start! Appreciate your work!
No built-in root program?
I am using the super SU to get permission
I can confirm it works. Still ways to go but impressive. I appreciate the hard work. Wish I could help more

[TOOL] Possible fix to bricked devices.

I'll make it short. I read that some Qualcomm devices get to recover through the installation/flashing of the bootloader from the external SD (the physical SD Card).
So I'd like you to try out the image I've done and see if something changes in your device. This one should include the first four partitions which are required to get the system up.
DON'T TRY IT IN A WORKING PHONE IF YOU AREN'T DUMB, it shouldn't work, but if I were you, I wouldn't try at a first place.
This is the command I used: dd if=/dev/block/bootdevice/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/test.img count=42572
Count is a combination of the blocks from the first four partitions.

MD5: 6c7903c47f5cd86e2c1bb10266d2671d
Put it right in the root of your external SD.
If its not working, you can also try this:

@facuarmo, can you give a clearer explanation about this method? I'm trying to help some owners of G4 Play here in Brazil, and they are a lil bit confused with how this procedure works.
Thanks in advance!

There isn't a real big deal. This just flashes from byte 0 to the end of this image on the flash memory.
The procedure is pretty simple.
Take off the battery.
Take off the SD card.
Plug it in a computer.
Format to FAT32 if you didn't.
Put the file on the root of the memory, without any other file.
Download Win32 Disk Imager
Flash loader.img to your sdcard.
Unplug.
Put back on phone.
Put battery and try to turn it on.

No problem! Please take in mind it hasn't been tested.
One more question @facuarmo (sorry about that)... How do we use that command "dd if=/dev/block/bootdevice/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/test.img count=42572", the info "MD5: 6c7903c47f5cd86e2c1bb10266d2671d" has which use for?

You don't need to use that command. It's just a way to show and be open about how I managed to get that image.
The MD5 is used to verify if the download has been successful ad it's just an optional step.

According to this thread (see translation below) this is cause you've had a bootloader whose version is greater than the one you're tryna install. You must wait till Motorola posts last Nougat "soak test" bootloader.
http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=938478
If the program shows the message FAILED (blank-flash:sdl-transfer-image:sdl-hello:invalid HDLC frame) it's okay, it's just that the bootloader version isn't compatible [...]

Holy shiz! You can't just do it right from another device through MTP. The SD card must be physically connected to the computer through an internal or USB adapter.

It is inside firmware already by Motorola itself: fastboot_harpia_vzw_oem_vzw_user_6.0.1_MPIS24.241-2.35-1-17_17_release-keys-cid2_vzw.tar.gz.gz
This firmware is available publicly on all known Motorola firmware sites.
@tiago ferreira:
Are you sure you have harpia verizon? and not other model/carrier?
