Cycles between on and off when charging - Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Guys
Hopefully someone can help. took my phone out of my pocket this morning to find it off. Thought the battery died but when I plugged the charger in and it just starts up till the Sony logo (and red led) then crashes, continuously. It hasn't stopped doing that. Tried plugging it into the pc to run Flashtool but it doesn't have time to recognise the device before it shuts down again. Reset button, soft reset and Hard reset have not worked.
Please help someone, need a guide or instructions here.

Have you tried plugging in your phone to your charger and wait an hour ?

I tried all solutions over net and not helped me.
What to do?
please anyone? I dont have warranty any more....
That depends... What was the last thing you did on your phone?
Did you try unlocking the bootloader? If so, did you format the disk when prompted? Never, is anyone supposed to format it. If you chose 'Cancel' then theres hope.
I would suggest trying NSS & unlock it...

Leave it on the charger for several hours. If the battery is completely empty it can take quite a while until it is able to be restarted.
8 hours was on charger and nothing.
When connect to charger bootlop is whole time.

I had a similar problem after I updated my phone, the battery just wouldn't charge up. I was able to flash the older firmware back on to the phone and it would charge the battery but as soon as I put ANY of the tango firmware's on the phone the battery would stop charging.

When you plug in the charger you're phone is turning on but it keeps looping through the boot sequence as the screen eats up more power than it get's. Try using a wall charger to charge your phone, once the screen come on turn it off. You should be able to put enough power about 2% which would be enough to try your phone on long enough to flash it. First try to see if you can get the phone to boot up from a wall charger.
When is wall charger it come to windows logo and turn off.

Can you turn the screen off before it gets to the Windows logo?
only turn off phone if plug off charger.

Unfortunatly if you can't get the phone to boot up at all then you won't be able to flash on the firmware
The only solution you have is to send it back to Nokia. I dropped my phone in and was given a new phone which now works perfectly
I dont have warranty soo I gave to local service shop....
They said some problem with battery and will tell em tomorow how much will cost.

[Q] Question about x10's battery problem

So today, I am trying to wake my x10 again one more time and I try to plug my old x10 to the wall plug and it's not even charging at all. No red blink. Then, I try to plug to my PC and the red blink turn on, taking forever to charge. I did charge this morning before I leave to school and when I came home, it's still doing the same thing again. I don't know how I can fix or turn it back on like I did before. Please help and the charging problem too.

Did you try to wipe battery stats in order for the phone to refresh the battery percentage again? Did you try a different wall plug?

[Q] Micromax A116 went off while charging

So I am owning a Micromax A116 for about 3 months and I was having no problem with it at all. But today, suddenly when my phone was on charging and while charging I was using it. (I always use it when it is charging, not a new thing) But then it suddenly went off! I unplugged the charger, long pressed the power button but nothing happened. I tried removing the battery and placing it again but still nothing. Then I tried plugging in the charger again and the red light which was supposed to blink in my phone did not blink. Please help me what to do. I tried googling my problem but it didn't helped.
Please help
Thanks in advance!

Remove battery, sim, sd card and put it back again. Charge it for 2-3 hours and dont touch it. Try to power on. If still doesn't boot. Try booting into recovery mode.
Dude Not Trying To Put You In Misery But There Might Be A Major Motherboard Crash Bcs of Some Voltage Fluctuation So I Guess Go To The Service Center And Fix It. But First Try The Above Solution And If It Doesn't Then U Need To Go To The Service Center

I will wait hours for charging.
Anyway, do you know other solution? It's very strange it's bricked! I didn't flash anything new and cm11 was working well!

If you're using cm11 you should be able to boot into recover right?
This happened to me today. Last night I left my phone charging on my PC through the USB port. PC was off, but USB is still powered. Phone was on.
The next morning, after I woke up I noticed that when I pressed the power button nothing happened. I plugged the cable off my PC, then back on, and the led was staying lit up red. Nothing when I pressed the power button again. No fastboot, nothing.
Finally, I plugged the phone using the original Sony adapter to the mains. It showed the Sony logo and it started charging. At least, so I thought. After a couple of hours, I checked the charging progress and nothing, battery was showing empty. So I tried to power the phone on while still charging. It booted Android and it was showing charging, but 0%. I powered the phone back off, it immediately started charging and battery progress was about 80%.
My guess is that somehow battery stats files were corrupted/deleted. Luckily the phone did not get bricked. I am on Android 4.0 ICS.

It seems XSola has issue with this. My previous phone which is Xsola did suffer from this issue multiple times though. On my ex-XU (too) never had this problem and in my current XP i've had once.

[Q] Smartbook surfer tablet stuck in boot loop

Hello all. I have a Smartbook Surfer 360 mn 10u. It went a bit haywire recently so I reset it using the desktop options. Since then, when I power up, all I get is a blank screen followed by the jelly pad logo and that's how it stays.
I've opened the back and disconnected the battery. I reconnected and let it charge before powering up, but the same thing happens. I've tried connecting it to my laptop with an a-a USB cable but the laptop doesn't install the drivers.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what else I could try?
I would really appreciate some guidance as this is driving me nuts !!
Many thanks

power it up and then wait for long hours about 4 or more hours to boot just wait
then if still not working remove the battery and wait 20 seconds after that plug in the charger without the battery then wait for 20 seconds again after that
remove the charger then put your battery in your device and then plug in the charger then power it up

Hi Cedie,
Thanks for that. Unfortunately this has not resolved the issue. Is there anything else I could try? As i mentioned, I have tried connecting it to my laptop to see if I can access it from there but. When I plug it in it starts installing the drivers, but then fails.
Is it safe to say it's for the scrapheap or is there anything more drastic I try?
Many thanks
