[ROM][4.3]Customized Stock 12.1.A.1.207 - Xperia SP Android Development

DISCLAIMERYou use this ROM at your own risk.
I will not take any responsability if you crash your device, lose data or whatever.About 2 days after having acquired the XSP, I changed the ROM. I tried a lot of custom (stock or not) ROMS.
And finally, (my personal advice) the Sony UI is great and need only few tweaks. No buggy mods or dumb build.prop "custom settings". So, I took the FTF file and began a hard work to cook my personnal, clean, smooth, fast and reliable ROM.
I will try to help if someone face any problem with this ROM but my knowledge is quite limited. Very limited indeed.
Requirements :
Xperia SP (C5303)
Root
Recovery
A working brain
Tested and totally functionnal on Xperia SP (C5303) with locked Boot Loader.

Did you installed Xposed framework first via the "Xposed Installer" that you can find in the drawer? Actually, no framework...no working modules.
Then you will have to activate the Gravity Box module and finally you will be able to launch it successfully.

please, how can i get stock font back?

Let me just say that this is just what i wanted, stock stable nice rom with customization options. Thank you, working great for me on stock kernel. I just want to say that font is a bit problem because of my language (Serbian), 2 specific letters not showing at all. However, this is not a problem, i downloaded fonts from google play and installed them and now everything is good . I use Roboto Light font, it's very nice looking and supports all our letters.
ch3tan007, download from google play HiFont, install and download fonts you like and use them. Stock Android font also available. Easy to use.

Yep, I can. You will find a CWM package in the OT. Download and apply in CWM. That's all.

You are too fast. There is a "corrective" package on the OT.
Glad that the ROM suits your needs.

Thanks for stock font
I noticed one thing not working for me from Xposed modules, full screen pictures in calls, but i have zip downloaded somewhere in xda, i can't really recall where i downloaded it, but i flashed it on this rom and it's working. Thanks again!

You're welcome.
I've noticed the same thing for the full screen mod but I don't care.
I have tested the mod you are talking about, it works indeed. Nice if your phone become like you want it to be.

First impressions the rom is amazingly fast. It suits all my needs. Less customization, blotwarw free.
Once again thanks for this rom.

I followed your instructions but it still says not responding when I open it. Can any other flashers confirm it is working?

If anyone is facing problem with xposed just delete it from sustem/app, restart device then install xposed v2.6.1 (it's your choice to install it as system or user app).
This solved my problem as the version preinstalled in rom is experimental one.

Yep, I'm interested to about this information.
So what? The Xposed framework is well installed now (app_process = 58 & XposedBridge.jar = 54)?
I will test again right now...I flash the ROM and tell you.
EDIT : I've done a fresh install. The first thing I done was to install the framework.
Exact procedure is :
1) Install framework
2) Reboot
3) Activate the modules (You can activate the 3 modules directly)
4) Reboot
5) Launch the module, set the parameters
6) Maybe you'll have to reboot
7) Everything works (As there is no bug in the module but I can't do nothing about that)

The fact that it is the "2.7 experimental1" isn't the problem as I use it for months.
As I said, I will do the test.

Just a small suggestion:

I can try the Mod and give you an answer.

I'm sorry but I don't understand the question. Not clear.
If you press Vol+ ou Vol-, you will change sound. A bar will appear on screen that will let you see the result of the change.
BTW, someone with Locked boot loader have tried this ROM?

I have my bootloader unlocked but still Bravia engine & Graenote work. How?

ForsakenGB v3.5 FINAL
Hello all!
Thank you all for checking the ROM in the last few months, I hope you enjoyed it like I did. This is the final release as I don't have the Ray anymore. See you around!
Again, note that I am not a dev exactly, I barely have some ideas about code and script, so bug fixing if any would be difficult; nevertheless, the cooking is all me.
This is made following the available guides and information on xda and for fun.

Installation UNLOCKED bootloader:
Before starting you already have to know how to unlock the bootloader, use Flashtool and install/use CWM and kernels.
Note that the installation wipes everything.
1. Have your bootloader UNLOCKED
2. Stock Gingerbread installed
3. Unrar the archive in your PC
4. Connect the device in MTP mode with USB Debugging Enabled
5. Double click the AutoFlash1.0-beta4.exe and follow the instructions
6. Let the ROM load for the first time and set it up
7. Reboot in CWM and flash the Aroma app addon or the Music Control Lockscreen (Optional)
- Fastboot drivers must be installed.
- Do not unplug the USB cable until the Autoflash window closes.
- The installation will leave an update.zip in the root of the card, delete it if you want after is finished.
- You can also start the installation in an unrooted .42 GB, but it will take longer.
* Simplified:
Just unrar and copy in the card the update.zip file found in the system folder and flash it.
Installation LOCKED bootloader:
1. Stock Gingerbread installed, rooted and with CWM
2. Unrar "ForsakenGB_v3.5_Final_CWM.rar" in the root of the SD card
3. Reboot in CWM recovery
4. Restore backup 2012-12-11.08.15.06
5. Let the ROM load for the first time and set it up
6. Reboot in CWM and flash the Aroma app addon if you want
DISCLAIMER
As always, you are the only one responsible of what you are doing with your device, it's your choice to flash it, do your research first.

I had a better experience in GB too, when playing Running Fred for example, I always had some annoying lag in ICS.

I've been wondering that myself, I also wanted to add some and remove others. Here's the original thread in the Arc dev section, maybe there are answers there :silly:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1614121
Edit: as an alternative you could flash hansip's mod, it will change a bit the home bar if you flash it like that but you will have the Quickpanel settings.
If you want too keep the semi-transparent home bar just get the mod made by hansip87 and delete the home.apk from the zip before flashing it.
Update: addon added in first post.
Small update: init.d scripts addon added to first post.
Using this rom now for a couple of days. Looks nice, I always modded the xperia S icons etc. myself too.
Rom displayed a little lagg occasionally while on 768 Mhz, but nothing out of the extraordinary. Remark about contacts: When you enter the name of a contact, it searches according to the telephonenumbers. I recall not having that problem when I manually flashed the leaked xperia S apk's. I assume it is safe to change this?
Just flashed the updated init.d script, lets see what it can do. Was using the rom without those tweaks.
All in all great rom, thanks!!

That's odd, I don't seem to have that issue, If I enter 2 or 3 letters of a name, the names with those letters are displayed for me, not the numbers. Change what you need and share .

Me too, I haven't tested them for a long time too see any changes, I just got them one by one and see if they are executed properly and made an update.
Thanks for the feedback!
New known issue: The alarm seems to be anti-lazy people, this morning when the alarm rang I hit "slide to unlock", after that I entered the unlock pattern and I couldn't stop the thing, I had to reboot. It was annoying but at least I woke up on time.
So as a workaround if this happens hit snooze, unlock the phone and then stop the alarm
Can I use another kernel??
Sent from Black Xperia Ray using Tapatalk.
Yes sure, I haven't tried many but it should be fine. The other day I accidentally flashed sirkay's 7,341 for ICS and worked, but I haven't tested it properly on this ROM. I sticked to GB kernel.

Sorry, cannot reproduce, I never had this. It was installed on a clean stock GB and full wipe + dalvik from CWM? Nevertheless, I don't know what to say because I never seen this, on-screen home and hardware home button always worked, even in all previous beta versions I made.

My first comment is you should always insist on doing a clean full wipe install. This will help you out with any troubleshooting. Dirty flashing can and will cause a lot of problems. Not to mention everyone is not an experienced flasher. Setting them up to brick a device in my opinion.

Hmmm nice work you got here. But this rom is mostly based on xposed mods.... .. (should include credits to each xposed app). Fixing the reboot animation seems easy to fix. Its either the shutdown.qmg in the system/media folder or the loop qmg. I ported a few in the past(ported zip bootanimations to samsung qmg format). So yeah, hope that helps!

Awesome! CM wallpaper

This is the best ROM for this device ever made... hehe
Great job on this ROM. I initially tried clearing just the system and data directories, alongside the dalvik cache, before installing. The results was terrible, despite the system booting fine and all, it took a year saying Android Starting... That's all on me, as I fell asleep, but luckily it didn't fry the device, just a battery drain and it wasn't terrible. Nonetheless, I recommend a full wipe coming from another ROM, before considering this ROM and I'm using a SM-T230NU. Apart from that, the one issue I have identified with the Rev, was already highlighted, which is the lockscreen. Memory utilization is also great, though I did some uninstalls for most of the Google Apps, I'm consuming about 700mb, leaving at least 600mb free for anything and I haven't started tweaking startup apps. Having said all of this, emoboy, you've done an exceptional job ?

THANKS :good:
this ROM should called Google ROM its based on all google inc apps and its the best rom for tab4 7.0
but only one thing that make it bad (its size = 1.56 GB).
I would like to suggest to be able to disable hardware button for 'Back' and 'Recent' because you've made the software button available. The home button can stay. How's this?
Any luck with the lockscreen? Runs smooth but that would be awesome to fix that laggy lockscreen...

The base is identical but Hamidreza2010 contacted me to inject some mods.
So, this is a stock based ROM and you can use as a pure stock based ROM (Deodex, zipaligned, root and superuser mod) with no modification.
But, you can use it with several mods (Z3 mods, fonts, boot anim, ...) thanks to AROMA. There are a lot of possibilities. I would recommend modded system apps icons .
This ROM is a richest version of my previous baby.

I have been a fan of your customised stock rom. The best pure stock rom according to me and am surely going to try this. Thanx and keep up your good work.
Honestly the amount of customised stock roms are far too saturated but I like how you've made the effort to integrate things such as aroma and update applications here. Keep it up

Yep, you're right. There are a lot of custom ROMS. As I think the stock ones are the best, the addition of the AROMA installer bring something new and more interesting. My advice. Thanks for comment.

For my daily use, there are a lot of additionnal apps (Social apps, third party calendar, weather widgets, ...) and I don't experience any lag.
Maybe it could be a little slower with Z3 ported apps (Redraw of home after a game) but I have not seen nothing with stock home and Z3 systemUI (with ad hoc parameters using Xposed).
Regarding RAM, well...free RAM is wasted RAM and it is well managed.
One more time, this ROM was created to match the needs of users. All is question of compromise...do you want speed, functionnalities, beauty, ... Whatever, you can choose.
Anyway...it is always stable. :good:
battery life ?
i'm using Mr steve's CM11 for the xperia sp but somethimes the battery life suckes and other days better?
But how is the battery life on this rom?

As mentionned, it is stock battery life.
Plus, it is a little subjective. Depends on your behaviour with the device.
Do you read mails, surf the Net, play games, answer the phone or SMS?
All these parameters will influence battery life. But, average battery time life in "normal" usage is about a day...like every smartphones.
EDIT : Screenshots added to OP
ok thank you for the response
i sometimes check my mail 3-4 times a day sometimes playing a game
but the most i use is youtube
I had change my governor to wheatley and the i/o to Sio.
will see now how it go's otherwise i'm going to change the rom with yours

Ok. As there is the SuperUser Mod, you will be able to use whatever application you want as the signature will be ignored.
So, if you find ported Z2 or Z3 apps, it should work on the ROM. As I have not tested, I can't guarantee.
tried installing 3 times from 3 different downloads, Symlink failed on installation ??
Any ideas please.

You just need to clean firmware 5.1.1 with pre root and root only. If you have Xposed, or some apps will lose all so ... I advise giving the wipes and install the pre root and go on FlashTool and install the firmware marking the ugly system so hopefully the home screen Xperia (home) and make the flash my rom

Hello, I installed this new update on D5803 and it 's very smooth and fast. I know that the benchmarks are not everything but I had also really excellent scores with this release with Antutu more than 52000 points which was ever happened to me with no other Rom. So congratulations By cons, missing Google Play remains a problem for me since I installed the last apk and the Application close directly. I triend different Version with the good MD5 value. Impossible to make it work. does anyone have the same problem? and anyone have a solution. Thank you

Thanks for making this ROM. Do you have any screenshots and what device did you test this with? And is xposed required for the rom to work? Also stock is stuck on 5.0 and not 5.0.2

Do I just have to wipe /data to install the ROM? Or do I need to flash your ROM over a completely clean stock rom?

can flash with wipes but after wipe first reboot into system and than flash rom and one more thing might take long to boot if it dont just wipe cache and davlik
Thanks..Working
I tested on 2303 model so very good..
Hey thanks for the Rom, great work!
I noticed that you had a SnapChat error that was caused after rooting. I had this issue on stock Rom too and it wasn't due to root, SnapChat checks to see if you have xposed installed on your device and doesn't allow you to sign in. The only way I was able to sign in again was to uninstall xposed completely using the flashable zip. You might be able to flash xposed after you sign in, but I can't be sure.
When flashing xposed i get an error 'unable to mount firmware'. does it matter
The rom works like it is supposed to but I don't like that almost all of the functionality comes from xposed modules. If you can get the built in versions from a few guides in the Sony Themes and Apps, that would be great

Nothing is used from xposed except that blur ss and extra toggles all mods are from system only which i wrote in features reason for xposed is superuser mod or else rom wont boot

Mostly it will if anything wrong restore ur backup
Whole ROM would be better than modification files, or at least an option.
Anyway great work and thanks a lot!
