I need a waterproof case that I can mount on my bike. I do a lot of charity cycling. Any ideas?

100% waterproof no. But it is water resistant. So if you're mounting it to a bike, I'm guessing you're not going swimming with your bike.

There's a lot of situations where you might want a waterproof mount, EG you ride your bike to work everyday and it's raining. It's weird to assume that he doesn't need what he said what he was searching for.
I bike a lot also I just put my nexus 6 in the supcase unicorn beetle and just ride in the rain with it. No issues here the nexus 6 is suppose to be water resistant. Normally I would put my nexus 3 in a plastic bag but this? I just leave it iny pocket and keep biking I also use my lg tone plus with it. Those thing can withstand a serious downpour. Had it for 2 years now soaked in the new York city rain even was in a hurricane with a pair and they still work.
What mount did you guys get?
I bike a lot too. I might want to get one for myself but never sure on which mount to get.
I figure for water proofing I would bag it in a medium sized ziplock.
I use cue sheets and gps on most rides so i need a good mount as well
One I have used
Slip Grip car mounts.
I have this brand to hold my Droid Maxx on my bicycle and motorcycle, I just used the 1 1/2" bar mount model. It has held on without any problems. I am ordering one for the Nexus 6.

You're right - it's water resistant.
I'm sure all of us have seen the YT vids of people submerging N6es w/ no adverse effects, but I'd be hesitant to use it in the rain for other reasons. namely, would acid rain degrade the nano coating on water-resistant circuitry.

What is the purpose of wanting a case? GPS/Map? Or music/plug in? Ive been debating a case myself but I ride one day a week, same route, so no need for a map, thus the delay in ordering one. But if it's for music, I use LG Tones with MapMyRide and keep my phone in my bag. Works great as it reads out my cadence. They also have a great program that reads texts out loud or you can answer calls with one button, so I can decide if I need to stop for a message/call.

I've had my C6802 for a week now. I've been loving it, and I didn't understand why people are dissing it about pocket ability. It fits in my pants pocket just fine. I just make sure that the left front pocket is reserved for the phone alone, no keys, change, or any other scratcher. Breast pocket is just disaster waiting to happen - button down flap can't even come over the phone. So that's out.
Today I sat down at the restaurant to use the Wi-Fi on my laptop, and I hooked up the XZU to download a movie through Media Go. I noticed the phone rocking back and forth diagonally, not laying flat on the table top. I thought maybe the table is sloping on that side. So, I moved the phone to another spot; same thing. I picked up the phone and eyeballed it along its profile! Alas! It was bent!
I remembered...... Aluminum frame..... so I flexed it diagonally to fix it, and it straightened out!
So be warned folks! Even if it fits in your pocket, sitting down with the phone in the pocket will definitely bend it! This might even lead to the glass corners popping out!
Oh, that's.. bad I usually put my phone on the table no matter what, but i'll keep this in the back of my head. Thanks for sharing.

I do set the phone on the table too. I believe I twisted it sitting in the car from the house to the restaurant. It was a short drive; 2 blocks. So I didn't think much of it.

yup, there was a thread somewhere, someone asking how much it costs to replace the screen/digitizer because the screen cracked when he sat on it while ZU in the back pocket.

I wonder, from what point it stops being a faulty design... I mean, not all of us are made the same. If a 200kg (about 400lbs?) guy sat on it at the wrong angle, I would not blame Sony at all... A steel sheet 5mm thick will bend under those kinda weight...

Even if someone of 40 kg would sit on it while on the rear pocket I would not blame Sony. If I remember well you are living in Vietnam, I have the phone everyday on my front pocket and drive scooter but my phone is still perfectly flat.
I do not put it on any too tide jean, and as soon as i sit completely on a car or chair I do remove it before sit. If not it is on a bag. So scare to break it, after all this phone is so thin and have so large and thin glass on it. I had to change iPhone glass of people siting on there sofa, same thing can happen here.

BINGO. This was my only concern regarding the Ultra from day one. I even wrote about it hear. I don't think you are the first to do this and you wont be the last either. Point is how do you know the integrity of the water resistance has not now been comprised? You don't!
I love the Ultra BUT putting that beast in a pocket was simply asking for eventual trouble. As you wrote how could an aluminium frame that dimension prevent twisting?

With great respect to you Sir this is not a Sony 'problem'. THE 'problem' with the Ultra is portability. Woman can use hand bags men will try and use trousers. The Ultra is simply to large for general trouser use. Add to this the materials used, glass, plastics and Aluminium and what can we expect? Even titanium at that thinness will eventually flex. This, to me, is a classic example of a device defeating its own purpose.
I love the Ultra I love my Z and 10.1 Z tablet. I have gone back to the plastic smaller world of the new Note 3 as I know I just could not live with the portability problems with the beautiful Ultra.
There are only two tragedies in life. One is NOT having what we want the other is having it.
This will solve itself as long as you live in a temperate climate with seasonal change. What i'm trying to say is: Winter is coming, and we will use jackets/coats which will make our lives much simpler. To the people of SE Asia, Africa, Australia, Southern Europe and Southern USA, i'm very sorry

I personally keep it in my jacket pocket or in the jeans pocket, and sometimes they are really tight, and 80% of the time the ZU pops out a few inches from them, but my phone is still perfect.
On the other hand I think that aluminum bending on this device would be so limited that you can't even find out: phone is resting (face or back) on glass.
In no part the aluminum touches the table.
And even if you do manage to bend your device, I think it would have been much more than keeping it in a pocket. It would be all misaligned from angle to angle, at the point that the glass would break for the force pressing every time you lay it flat or you use it.
I wouldn't mind seeing pics too before saying any more things.

Guys, any phone will do this. I am sorry that the OP experienced damage, but if anything it's the fault of the larger dimensions of the phone, not its thinness. Think about it: what constitutes the vast majority of a phone's thickness? It's the internal volume, obviously. It's the internal volume that was reduced in order to make the phone thin, not the thickness of the frame or glass sheets. Those would be the same regardless of how thick or thin the phone as, as they're just "caps." The fact that the phone is longer and wider than usual will allow you to exert more torque on the frame because of leverage, but the frame itself is no weaker than any other phone, and probably stronger than many.
Just put a lanyard on it and hang it on your neck...
Worry about it being stolen while hanging infront of your chest? Then place it under your shirt!

Yeah, I am very careful about pick-pocketers in Hanoi, so I try not to put it in my back pocket anyway
It fits my front pocket fine, but I find it a bit hard to get it out while riding my bike, find it harder to answer it one-handed, and even more difficult to put it back into the front pocket while riding the bike. Depending on other things I have in front pocket, I have to stand on my bike while riding to put it back into the pocket.
(for those of you who don't know Vietnam, it must sound crazy )
Can't wait until winter so that I can use my inside jacket pocket.
And back to topic, I agree with most posts so far.
It is about portability problem, not design or manu quality problem. Applying torque on something so wide, long and thin must be avoided.

There is nothing wrong with the phone. Nothing wrong with the build quality, or the frame, construction... none of that!
The phone fits in pants pocket. I use the front pocket. If you do carry it in your front pants pocket, be aware that sitting down with the phone in your front pocket will place torque on the phone, twisting it. My phone was NOT twisted enough to even consider it damaged. I just noticed that it wasn't perfectly flat when I placed it on the table. I twisted it back and corrected it.
After that little incident, I now make sure that I take it out of my pocket when I get in the car, or sit down. So, guys, becareful.

The MW600 works well for bluetooth call access/audio while the phone is tucked away. I listen to internet news while riding a motorcycle.

Do you keep the phone dangling on you, or into a pocket while it is like it's on a lanyard and pull it when needed, or do you attach it to a bag of some kind and keep it in there??

Two: several people asked you for pics, and you posted none. If you had time to open a topic about it, you sure have some to take 2 simple pics to prove what you're saying.

Pictures of what? My twisted phone? I am not twisting my phone again just to provide you with pictures.
My phone got twisted, I corrected it, and I advised other pocketers to be careful. There's no evidence to be had. You obviously read only my original post, and omitted the one on page 2.
I use it for safety mostly. If I am at work the phone stays in my pocket(front or back) while attached. When sitting down it might rest in my lap depending on the meeting or I unsnap(the clip mechanism is really-too stiff) it and set it on the table or my desk. I might leave it dangling when tieing my shoes.
I had it in a jeans pocket while riding a motorcycle for less than a mile., and I have <1/2 millimeter play or travel on a flat table. Lanyard to front camera diagonal is fine, but headphone jack to opposite corner wiggles a little. I haven't tried unbending it. I could try to take a photo, but there likely wouldn't be much to see.

It attaches to the stem of my road bike.
It is a bit big and as you can see the Note's screen is too big to show all information but using the one-hand mode of the Note 3 it works great and fixes that issue.
My Note 3 has replaced my garmin devices for biking.
I use the Garmin Fit app for my training rides. It automatically uploads the gps ride stats to garminconnect via wifi when I return home.

It does look massive doesn't it?? I don't mind, it's different and works well for myself.
The Mfg website says water proof but I'd toss a baggy over it if it rained heavy. It did protect my S4 this summer in some short rain.

I'm just a regular commuter to/from work. It's a road bike and this fits almost perfectly. The phone gets a bit snug, but not a big deal for the price. My knee some time hits the side of the bad, but rarely. If I do that stand-pedal motion, like when I go up a steep hill, I'll hit is on my inner thigh, although I've found that helps me know I'm positioned correctly.
Works well through the plastic. Enough room for a spare tube or wallet/keys.
Obviously any case will offer more protection, and this was a very expensive phone no doubt... But I dont want to get a case other than switching out the replacement back battery cover, because once you put a case on it, it makes it even larger or my hands. I love the thin profile of the note 3 and with gorilla glass it wont scratch easily, Im super careful when I set it down on flat surfaces and if I drop it well thats the chance I'll take. I also like the chrome accents and the silvery edge that goes all around the phone, any case besides a replament back cover will obviously cover the silver fake metal sides that go all around the phone.

I'd love to go naked, the thin profile of this phone is terrific. But I'm too scared so this is why i like the official Samsung flip covers that replace the back cover. They maintain the thin profile but at least offer some more protection than going naked. As a great bonus they turn the screen on and off when you open and close the cover respectively.
Its not if you don't plan to sell anytime soon. Screen protectors degrade image quality and most non OEM cases look tacky.
I got the slim fit spigen case. Initial trial of it, although it's probably not adding a whole lot of weight, it feels like it is compared to when I was running naked for the first couple weeks while waiting for it to come in. I've since opted to run naked. I do have a slim armour spigen coming in for days where I will be a bit more active or if I'm mounting it onto something.
IMO, flip cases are annoying because I snap photos all the time, and the flip cases simply get in the way requiring me to hold it with two hands when other cases just one hand operation to snap works. As well unless it's the s-view ones, its super annoying to flip open everytime you want to check something small like the time.
My phone itself is naked.
I can't stand flipcases, as the flap keeps getting in the way of everything. (I'm a woman, so I have even less chance of holding it in one hand, Meaning I always have the flap in the palm of my hand.)
Screen protectors look ugly, are a nightmare to apply and reduce the screen quality. My phone goes nowhere near my keys, so it's not needed.
I am keeping an eye out for an aluminium backcover, but so far there's very little of them. Those that are available don't ship outside the US.

I admire you naked guys really, I don't dare that my 700€ device could drop and brake. It's a huge device in hand and if you do a work that is hard the phone eventually will drop, also you cannot grab it fully with 1 hand. Offcourse I love also the slim naked feel of it but I don't risk it. Atm I have a clear bumber and a tempered tr glass till my Spigen case arrives and I feel secure.

It's silly to not have a case on a $700 device that you use throughout each and every day. I work in cellular retail and every time someone brings in a broken smartphone without a case I ask them about it, and their response is always along the lines of "I'm always super careful and this has never happened before!" and half the time they don't have insurance either.
Accidents happen, which is why they are called accidents; no one can be 100% sure they won't have a careless moment. Not to mention sometimes it's someone ELSE'S carelessness that can end with your phone being broken.
Verizon has a thin shell case (with optional holster) that provides a little grip, a handy kickstand, and most importantly a bit of a raised edge along the screen and camera. It probably won't help much for a 6 ft drop on concrete, but it's definitely better than nothing at all and will at least help prevent scratches if you are against screen protectors.

my last three main daily driver phone I ran naked. Asus PDA (plastic screen), T-Mobile dash, HTC evo 3d. There were some other pretty boss phones in that mix of the last ten years but those were the phones I loved. Non of them had screen protectors or cases. I got my NOTE3 and now I have been protector/case concerned. The device is just so thin and so jewelry like that I'm going to wrap it up tight and see if it adversely effects the experience. Not Otterbox tight, I never understood that methodology. I'm going glass screen protector and slimmest of cases. Unles there is an artful reason to do otherwise which I think is possible. But I need a Golla bag without Zipper or carbineer, just dual belt loop. A saggy bag with a big velco flap that I can use as a transport mechanism. Hard clip holsters suck. I want padded sliding desert bag style low profile, that I set on my belt in the morning with loops and forget about until night. A few years ago Golla had that exact thing. Now they don't. I'm just going to sew myself what I want out of canvas until the market catches up. Horizontal belt clip? are you kidding me?
1 question? Are you mad? This phone? Naked? This is a precious baby you don't go naked with this. It's that awesome I'm waiting for the otterbox.

No, not very likely; I'm asexual. Me having children is something that'll never happen.
I occasionally teach 6-12 year olds for a day. (a few friends of the family are primary school teachers, they sometimes ask me to do photography, tech or design classes for them.)
Not a chance in hell am I letting them touch my phone. Or my tablet. Or my laptop. Or my camera. Or anything else that could easily be damaged.
Also, according to Google a jackalope is a rabbit with antlers.. Is Google on drugs or is that actually correct?

Your $700 N3, wait I mean $1000 N3 costs more than the average car? You don't let anyone touch your phone? My girl can use it anytime she wants, if she needs it. My godson could as angry birds on it anytime as well... It's only a phone. It's insured, and of not, easily replaceable. The day any material possession becomes more valuable than a person in my life, is a sad day indeed.
PS- I absolutely love my phone too. Just not as much as people in my life.

I haven't run with my G3 yet, so I can't recommend any holders for it. However when I'd run with my S3 I had a neoprene armband with a clear window which claimed to be waterproof but definately wasn't. I simply put my phone in a ziploc bag with the cord coming out one end of the zipper seal with the rest of the zipper sealed up. The ziploc reduces a bit of visibility but prevents any water damage and doesn't inhibit touch functions.
I live near Seattle (plenty of rain) and I've gone running in full-on downpours before and I've never had any issues with rain or sweat getting to my phone.

I do the bag thing too but for cycling. Well, I haven't yet with the G3 but that's what I always did with my iPhone. In a ziptop and in my center pocket.

Wow it's a small world!
To be more specific I live in Bremerton so you're closer to Seattle than I. But only locals and mxpx fans know where Bremerton is so I just say "near Seattle."
The only challenge with an arm band is the headphone jack on the bottom (I like that better for just using it in a pocket). My S3 was easy because I could just fold the extra baggie with the cord over and have it hang out of the armband flap.

Ibera makes a water proof stem mount case for a phone this size. I had a smaller one for my Razr HD.

That case I linked up above has a little velcro loop that you can run the excess cable through.

I found that armbands tend to move too much with the larger phones. I use a running belt like Camden Gear running belt or Amphipod Airflow lite. Both will work with the G3 if you're using a thin case. It 's a tight squeeze in the pouch. The belt is snug and doesn't interfere with my run, and it doesn't bounce.
I gave up the armband with the S3 because I spent too much time fiddling with it as it slide off my arm.
Does anyone know of a dedicated waterproof case for the Pixel 6? I have found a few for the Pro, but none for the plain version.
Before you tell me it's waterproof, I want the case for snorkeling in saltwater. That is not an environment I would want to expose my phone to.
You need a speciality case designed specifically for diving. Salt water will pretty much instantly destroy the phone if it gets inside... so there's that.

It's for snorkeling, not diving, so there is no pressure requirement.

Doesn't matter as water is dense, 2.31 feet of head = 1 PSI, or 1 ATM = 33 feet of sea water or 14.7 psi
The case must be pressure resistant.
2 psi may not sound like much pressure be it is; the more area the harder it is to seal.
Something like the LifeProof Frē is rated for "WATERPROOF FROM 2 METERS FOR 1 HOUR". Why should that be insufficient?

If you value the phone keep it away from salt water. "Waterproof" phones rarely are. Any immersion in salt water can kill it. The port is unprotected.
All I expect is better dust sealing and maybe some water resistance from an ip68 rated phone.
That case you linked isn't going to cut it more than likely... sorry.
I ziplock bag might do ok with little air* in it... test it. A dive case is really what you need...
*having open space allows a place from water to go before contacting the camera. Maybe something like this:

I have been in looking at the one you linked to. The exact same product shows up under several different brand names. There is also a newer version of it that uses Bluetooth (instead of a lever to the volume rocker) but it seems like the app is not in the Play store. (i.e.kinda sketchy because you need to install it directly from the company)

Assuming I want to take the risk, I go back to my original question: does anyone know of a dedicated waterproof case for the P6 similar to the LifeProof Frē?
I will be able to borrow a dedicated underwater camera for the snorkeling, and ordered a Stash7 Waterpocket universal bag style case for the beach and topside.

It just arrived today, but my initial impressions are that it's a quality product. Its a bit more rubbery than those cheapo PVC ones and it has a felted lining. My Pixel 6 with Spigen Rugged Armor case fits snuggly inside. The neck lanyard is kinda like a bungy cord, and seems like it may be a bit long, but I'll see how it plays out. I can always tie a know in it to shorten it.
Zip lock bags for top side. Remember to be ware of salt creep; keep it spotless.
