AdBlock isn't working! - Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello
It has been a couple of weeks since the AdBlock (AdAway) stopped blocking the ads, even its updated and root is working perfectly.
It did start happening when I was on 4.4.4 and still happening on 5.0.2.
I've tried a couple of other AdBlock (AdFree and Adblocker) but they didn't work.
Any suggestions? Thank you

So, Apparently Adaway is working on some apps (like Traffic Racer, Super Backup...) but not on others (like Appy Geek, Appy Gamer) and also on some web pages when using chrome

I updated greenify to 2.5 beta 1. All seemed good. Then after a reboot it always had this triangle symbol next to the apps that should be hibernated. I tried to reinstall greenify, wiped cache and data of the app and even flashed supersu again.
Nothing worked. It didn't hibernate. Not in root and not in non root mode.
Installed 2.4.4 and all is good again..

No. User app. I updated to 2.5 beta 1 on my Samsung Tablet too. Same issue. So it's not just my S5
Beta 2 seems to work ???
I always add Greenify to the administrators list and enable accessability.

Snapchat wont work with rooted Phone

As title says i cant get my snapchat to work on my otherwise totally awesome H7?
I can't login.. At all, even if I change my password and then try with new one just after change...
Ive wrote to Snapchat support who told me that my phone was rooted and that's why I can't use snapchat... Just Like that, u rooted your phone so your out of the clubhouse
My thought was if there's anybody else experienced this situation, and if anybody got rooted and snapchat working??
I experienced the same issue 2 days ago I connected on SnapChat on another phone then roooted this other phone and made a backup with TitaniumBackup. Then all you have to do is to restore the backup on the Honor7 and here you go you can use snapchat

you should flash Pure EMUI ROM, next install systemless xposed, then dirty flash MM+Kang EMUI 4.1, next install 3C Battery Monitor Widget make root & go back to KitKat and then change your xda profile picture & theme to Pure Asshole v3.33 and install xposed.
Should solve all your problems

If you want, you can try a systemless root with 2.62, it's easy to unroot it if something goes wrong.
Just give it a try, may be you can make it work with that.

Sure, I'll try that dunno when I'll be but will try and report back
You don't have to unistall the xposed framework, you can solve this by going into /system using a file manager and you must search for "xposed". You'll see many files and archives, so what you have to do is to rename all of them with a " . " before the name of the file. This will hide the files. When done, you can login your snapchat. Don't forget to remove the dots when you have finished or you won't be able to use xposed
this what worked for me good luck!

Okay now I'm on rooted B380, traditional root, and snapchat is not letting me login
And NO xposed installed
I got xposed too and snapchat still works. Doesnt seem to be the problem for the most part. B140 5.0.2

Donation Package without root?

Hello!
Can someone tell me if it is possible to use the donation package without root, BUT with permission granted via ADB, to hibernate system apps?
Yes, you can.
Awesome, do I need other permissions, than the ones on their site here?: https://greenify.uservoice.com/know...o-grant-permissions-required-by-some-features
@leeswagger,
Nope , that's it .
What OS version? One device I have is non-root 6.0.1. Greenify works fine so far.

I have the same question. Have you successfully hibernated system apps without root? And does those 4 additional adb work too? I'm on v20 7.0. I cannot root my phone. Could you tell me what only works on non rooted?
Is it requires to run all 4 commands as mentioned https://greenify.uservoice.com/know...o-grant-permissions-required-by-some-features here or
only first one. I am in 7.0 .
Hello! Sorry for the late answer. Yes I have succesfully hibernated systemapps, keep in mind though, some essential apps/processes can't be hibernated.
And yes the 4 commands work as they should, but my conclusion is, you probably need root if you want all the features of Greenify, but it works as it should!

Stop Apps Detecting Root?

Hi Everyone,
Alot more apps seem to be detecting root nowadays, and after Googling solutions I can't seem to find anything that works anymore.
I used to just deny the app in SuperSU but this doesn't seem to work anymore with the Sky Q app and Android Pay.
Im currently using Pixel.
Does anyone have any apps or methods?

Use Rootcloak Xposed module to hide apps detecting your root. Add apps that you want to stop detecting root.
Download it from here. You need to install Xposed framework.
http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.devadvance.rootcloak2
Brilliant, does it work with Android 7 though?

Unfortunately both Xposed and Rootcloak not supported to android Nougat.
You can use hide my root app developed by amphoras to hide root access. Download from play store. I don't know it supports android Nougat.
Developer not given information about Nougat compatibility. Try and see
If it helped. Please thank me.
Iv already tried it, didnt work. Hopefully something comes up soon
Thanks

Use suhide app developed by famous android developer chainfire.
It can hide root on per app basis.
It is in experimental stage and it supports to android Nougat.

i tried it, but it caused a boot loop. I Looked through the thread, and it seems to be an issue with November's update. I'll wait for him to update the app and try again but it looks promising.
thanks very much.

Xperia X Oreo. Magisk root and apps freezing.

Hi. I updated my phone to Oreo. I rooted it with magisk v16.0. The root works perfectly, but I am, constantly, getting an error saying that the xperia actions and some other apps stopped working. Can anyone know how to fix it? The info appears and disappears immediately. It's annoying as hell.

No, I didn't. The apps that stop working constantly are: xperia actions, firmware update and messaging app. The info shows up and disappears in a split/second.

I have never had problems with xposed. Besides I have it installed, you don't. We are using totally different builds, but still we have the exactly same problem. So maybe Magisk is causing it.
I fixed my problem with crashing apps. I simple updated xperia update center apk and the apps stopped crashing. Here's a link.
