Does for me, yep. I'm tethering now to upload it. I haven't changed much from the stock system dumps provided.

Sounds promising, will give it a go when uploaded. Cheers

YES!
One of the few XDA devs I trust for stable roms. Coming from an S4 :good:

Great to see ya over here! Been running your GPE ROM on my VZW S4 for a while now. I'm assuming this doesn't force encryption right? Can't wait to give it a go!!!

build is uploaded
nice to see you again everyone

Do you have to be on a 5.1 bootloader/radio in order to flash this? ie. http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/development/bootloader-radio-boot-img-boot-loader-t3052425

would be recommended yeah, I believe Mikey had a method to flash the latest bootloader and modem with 1 click in windows. let me dig it up

Hey Dan. My daughter still uses your GE ROM on my old vzw S4 as a sort of android iPod touch. Nice to see you over here.

I loved your S4 ROM! I'll give a try on the nexus 6 one!

Awesome I'm glad people are still enjoying my GPE, I still continue to work on it with kryten2k35 although he has been doing the bulk of the work recently. he's pretty much the man
for those of you wondering about the bootloader / modem
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934543135 is from MikeyXDA's thread and the credits goto Scrosler for the batch file, its a 1 click install assuming you're in bootloader mode (It's gonna take a bit for me to stop calling it download mode) simply run the flash radio and firmware.bat
to all of you who want to see my previous work, take a look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2557353
I just wanted to take this time to thank MikeyXDA and Scrosler for helping me get my feet wet a bit early and build a type of ROM I've been known to use / release, the deodex base and APM code really cut the time needed to get this out

You had the dandroid rom for the S4. I ran that for a while. Glad to see you with the Nexus 6.

Dandroid was S3, GPE was S4

Omw Dan!!!! Yayyy! One of the first devs I ever donated to

Just looked at your other rom, if you could put in some custom mods in this, like swapping navigation buttons and pressing volume rocker to skip tracks, I would love you forever haha. Also, does this force encrypt?

[ROM] [2014-03-01] [4.4.2] Tempest (OmniROM) [KVT49L] (SplitView) (Linaro)

Based on OmniROM (Home - Omni)
This is a ROM put together from source code and closed-source apps by myself, with scripting for AROMA by me, and contributions to init.d scripting by 3DSammy. It utilizes the stock AOSP Kernel provided via OmniROM.
Features:
-OmniROM! (Split View, Quick Settings flipping tiles, screen recording, GUI translucency)
-CM Calculator
-init.d preservation and support
-AROMA with settings preservation!
-Built with the Linaro 4.7 toolchain!
Tempest Extras:
-ViPER4Android preinstalled (just open it and install the A15/NEON or Tegra 3 drivers)
-Titanium Backup preinstalled
-SELinux Switcher preinstalled
-Choice of UDN or LMT, with a NavBar build.prop mod option
-Choice to preinstall SuperSU
-Choice of Launcher2 and Launcher3 (Launcher3 has a dependency on Google Search)
Screen Recording (as tested on Manta):
SCR_20131120_111710.mp4 - YouTube
SCR_20131120_111746.mp4 - YouTube
Planned Features:
-None atm
If you have feature requests, put them in with the knowledge that I MAY NOT be able to implement them yet.
Downloads:
m7att Upload Folder
Latest Version: omni-4.4-20140301-m7att-TEMPEST.zip
GApps Packages:
I personally endorse and recommend Famigo's Gapps package. All builds are installed and tested using the famigo_gapps-4.4.x-v6.3.zip, by me.
If you use another GApps package that works, let me know/link it, and I'll update the OP with 2-3 potential packages.
Installation:
If coming from another ROM, recommend a factory reset. The update script auto-wipes /system.
1) Wipe cache/dalvik
2) Install zip
3) Install GApps (4.4) package of choice, and anything else you want to install
4) Wipe cache/dalvik
5) If SuperSU install was declined, flash your superuser
Known Issues:
-Some GApps packages result in a missing camera
Works:
-Everything not mentioned above (Split View/Multi Window is temperamental, but it works)

I have no way to know or test. I guess in THEORY, the devices are identical. I've seen a few cross-carrier ROM's, so I'm not 100% sure. Make a nandroid and then flash, is my best suggestion. I only have an m7att, no T-Mobile one to test on.

The App Versions thing was partially for transparency, and also my own sanity so I can easily check which version of the apps I am installing to /system.
Hi there love this rom, but when I open superSU and try to update the binary it says installation failed couldn't obtain root! Could you please shed some light on what this may be? Any help will greatly be appreciated. Oh and I came from the Viper one rom and still had root access.

Strange. Very strange. I can't shed any light on it, sadly, as every time I've had that issue, I've reflashed. Now, I know it formats /system, so if you're using SuperSU, you may need to use AROMA's "SuperSU" install option.
Buidls are not dead- I'm uploading a new one, just a resync is all it is, I'll work on left-hand nav buttons this weekend. Just got my replacement One. LOVE nandroid backups. Made the transition so simple.
New build up, patch notes inside zip- nothing but a source sync.

SD Kernel By HolyAngel
Kernel source for SkyDragon kernel:
SkyDragon M8 Kernel Source
HTC Kernel Source that its built off of:
Link
------------------------------------------------------------
We are assuming that you are S-Off and SuperCID recommended. Right? If not, read carefully and ask lots of questions!
How do I install the SkyDragon Rom?
Download the latest SkyDragon Rom zip from the download section
Make sure to check that the MD5 checksum matches with the one posted on the download page
Place the zip file on your internal (virtual) SD card
Reboot your phone into recovery TWRP or CWM depending on what is recommended in OP with the specific Rom version
Make a backup of your current Rom
Select to install SkyDragon Rom in recovery and follow the instructions in Aroma installer always selecting full wipe to start the installation
Note: I always prefer to manually wipe cache, Dalvik cache, and data in recovery before starting the Rom installation. Trust me, this method does help prevent many issues.
How do I get into recovery?
Hold down power button and volume down at the same time.
Can I install themes and make custom mods?
We do not recommend themes and mods that are not included in the Rom or are not in the SD Hub. If you have any questions follow the main SkyDragon thread, read a few pages, and feel free to ask questions. Someone will be willing to help you. We have the best and friendliest Themers on board!
Can I install a custom kernel?
Yamil (Dragonesdenano) releases a specific Rom version to run optimally with the stock kernel
We now also have custom kernels! Created by acclaimed SkyDragon Dev HolyAngel. SD custom kernels may be included in Aroma at the time of release. Follow this thread for news and updates.
Does SkyDragon Rom include radio firmware, Hboot, recovery, etc.?
Never!
Will installing SkyDragon erase my SD card/internal memory?
No personal data stored on your internal memory will be affected by installing SkyDragon Roms. Photos, music and other files stored on your SD card will remain untouched. The most likely way to erase your internal storage is by flashing stock firmware updates (because they contain stock recovery), flashing incompatible kernels, and incompatible custom recoveries. (always make a backup)
Should I flash radio firmware?
If firmware flashing is required, we will advise so in the OP with the new ROM release.
With the first Lollipop Rom 5.0 you must flash the Dev firmware we have posted.
In future Rom releases, you may stick with your region’s firmware as long as that firmware is from the current released base, such as 5.0.1, 5.0.2, etc.
Firmware flashing is not required for every Rom update. Most of the time it is best to remain on your phone’s native firmware for best signal reception, battery life, and overall performance.
Since we try to bring you the latest HTC updates in a custom Rom, we use HTC Rom variants that are released for specific regions that have firmware that may not perform very well for you. So we advise against flashing the latest firmware “just because it is new”.
If you choose to flash firmware make sure it is customized, i.e.; the stock recovery and boot image is removed to prevent the possibility of erasing your personal data. Ask about it in our thread.
I am S-On, can I install SkyDragon? ***
As long as you have the current base firmware Yes you can! Please feel free to ask questions in our thread.
***If you are on KitKat Rom firmware you cannot flash 5.0 Lollipop Rom if you are S-On.
You will have to wait for your native region OTA to arrive from HTC before flashing any custom Lollipop Rom.
You can always unlock your M8 using FireWater (free), if that doesn’t work, use SunShine (for a fee)

Download this file Click Me
In your PC create a folder call "fastboot" path must be "C:/"
Extract into your PC the downloaded file, Inside "Fastboot" folder, Path "c:/fastboot"
Now extract from Rom.zip (SkyDragon M8 Rom) the file called "boot.img" and place it in your fastboot folder
Put your M8 into FASTBOOT USB MODE ( first hold down POWER button and, then VOL down, you will see button lights blinking. Once Your M8 Turns off ( between ten and twenty seconds ) release and re press same buttons but now at the same time...till you get Bootloader Screen.
Once in Bootloader you will find info such as S-on or S-off, Menu with Fastboot, Recovery, Reboot etc.
Press Fastboot and connect your Butterfly S to your PC.
You Will see Fastboot turns into FASTBOOT USB, now you are OK.
In your PC open CMD (terminal), just press MENU in windows and in the search small windows, type CMD and Enter.
A black windows OS-like will open, you will need to do the following:
Using "cd.." means "cd dot dot", just in case, go back till get this path "C:/"
Once in "C:/" you will type "cd fastboot"
Now path turns into "C:/fastboot"
OK, now we need to type two commands
"fastboot erase cache" press enter
You will see a message like "sending...." at the end will say "ok"
Then last one
"fastboot flash boot boot.img" press enter.
Once says "OK", we are good.
Time to unplug Your Butterfly S, and press Hboot, well, the idea here is to get RECOVERY
Once in Recovery Mode, we install the Rom as normal, remember to full wipe manually!!! (data/cache/dalvik)
Select "INSTALL" swipe, when it is done, reboot!
That s ALL

Is this necessary to install this rom? Not that it's a problem to flash the kernel manually but what makes this process needed for this rom and not the others? Thanks

I guess if u are S On, must flash boot.img via cmd. If u could flash others, this one is the same. Make a nand first

everyone is s-on, never flashed boot.img via cmd for this phone.. it flashes fine with the rom. :highfive:
Does anyone know which setting it is in this Rom that is causing the BlinkFeed to be 3 times its normal size? Also, is the sense 5 toolbox function since this is sense 6? Thanks

No need those instructions will be needed once we s-off. To flash the rom use twrp and full wipe in aroma and it works

Hey GROGG88 you're ROM is Fantastic! Thank you for making a ROM that works like a charm for Deb Model.
More Power! ?
Flashed as second rom via multirom, w8 around 10-15min - dont start, stuck at bootanimation.

anyway, is there a mod to increase the sound volume?

Same with me. Previous build worked fine.
Any solutions?
Awesome. This has been the Primary on my Deb since your first build!
Been running this as a secondary ROM through MultiROM for quite some time now and it works great plus it is very stable.
Using it with the ElementalX Kernel and it sleeps like a baby, the battery life is amazing.
@GROGG88 : do you have the flashable zip of your kernel. I would like to try different kernels but I would also like to switch back
Thanks

Nope, its not available separate. Currently it is just the stock kernel with dt2w.
You can always restore a backup...
The mic seems to stop working. I nandroid restore back to stock and the mic start working again.
I'm not sure if this is a ROM issue or elementalX kernel issue

No problems here. Restore stock kernel and/or boot into safe mode. You have something killing audio in.

Thanks for the feedback. Is it ok if I flash your rom over stock without wiping?
I wonder how the gapps would be since your ROM has included some gapps

Can you? Maybe.
Should you? Not really.
How's LTE on this ROM? I'm only getting EDGE on stock since lollipop. But this does look like a killer ROM and will take it for a spin until someone answers :good:
LTE is working fine out of the box for me. Check APN or signal strength in your area perhaps?

No not at present, but I will be looking to add some further mods as I find them to the image. This one would be a good one to add! I would like it myself.
#4.......
Im on your stock E rom (vzw customer). Will this rom be compatible for with carrier?
Yes it should be for all carriers. It is based of the stock Google image, not AOSP. Please try it and let me know how you get on. I would like to knoe if things like VoLTE etc are working. Just remember to make a backup of your current rom.
Sweet! More options Will have to give this a go for sure!
Hello everyone! I'm currently on a LMY47L rom. Do I need to do anything special to flash this? Or is it just the normal wipe data and caches before flashing? Thank you!
No thats it I think you should be good to go. Just take a backup beofre then you can easily revert if you have any problems.
I am looking for sprint and verizon and tmobile users to test this rom. Please let me know how you get on
Great job. Installed on sprint and all is working great so far. was on build LMY47I with the ....95r radio. Will continue to run through its paces but very happy with this so far.
This ROM is from the future? Whoa!!! ?
I really like how futuristic this ROM is

[ROM][XT1575|XT1572][Aroma]TruPureXMM 2.9 - Fast and Smooth [5-26][MM 6.0]

Introducing
TruPureXMM
TruPureX was born from my minimalist OCD and love for my Nexus 6. Although Motorola has a reputation for not including bloat, I disagreed. I have removed all unnecessary MotoBloat while keeping the Moto features that make us love their phones so much. TruPureX is light, fast and smooth. It was built to keep the battery in mind and performance high, as well as making sure it is easy to customize to your liking.
This is my first ROM that I am sharing with the community here at XDA, so please be kind and any advice is appreciated. I hope you enjoy my rom as much as I enjoyed making it.
**Please search the thread before posting about an issue. There have been too many repeat questions.

Thanks! @krazeekirk Let me know what you think! It would be nice to get some feedback.
Does anyone know if volte works on this since its deodexed?

Giving it a shot! Thanks for the contribution!
Curious what's "bugged/not functioning"... But, as of right now, this is probably the most promising and the ROM I'll probably be installing. I'm just waiting for android 6 to release for device first.

Since this is based on spasticdroid's, I assume so. I am unable to test this since I have att. Can someone test and let us know so I can put the warning in the op?

As much as I want to, I can't at the moment. This is my first rom and I imagine it's going to be a lot to handle, let alone building two versions. Maybe later down the road I can get one out just for you

You are right! Maybe I can work something out for you guys. Lets let this settle for now and I will look into supporting an odex one for Verizon.
Installed fine and after 90 minutes everything seems to be working well with no apparent bugs/FCs/etc. I really like the minimal build, and it's definitely faster & more responsive than stock. I'm also on AT&T so can't test volte.

so far so good OP, just quick question, do you think that if we flash the custom kernel that is floating around we going to kill the experience?

In my opinion, yes. That's why I included the stock kernel. It was smoother for me when testing.
Looks promising, I'll give it a try.
Heck, my phone won't even download it! I wish I could try it. If also prefer an odexed version, because I've never understood the appeal of deodexed. It's easier to theme it, but you lose the optimization and smoothness that odexed has.
