Your HTC ONE
What if I am S-ON?
Not A problem. But you will need to flash rom boot.img via FASTBOOT commands using Windows CMD
Be UNLOCKED!
Steps For S OFF
Download ROM to SDCARD
Reboot to recovery
Make a Nandroid backup before flashing SD Rom
Once Nandroid was done, do a Full Wipe ( data/cache/dalvik )
Select Install, go to downloaded Rom location
Select Rom zip, install, yes, swipe!!
Once installation is finished, Reboot ! Done.
Steps For S On
Unlocked Device via HTCDEVWEB
Download this file Click Me
In your PC create a folder call "fastboot" path must be "C:/"
Extract into your PC the downloaded file, Inside "Fastboot" folder, Path "c:/fastboot"
Now extract from Rom.zip (SkyDragon ONE Rom) the file called "boot.img" and place it in your fastboot folder
Put your ONE into FASTBOOT USB MODE ( first hold down POWER button and, then VOL down, you will see button lights blinking. Once Your ONE Turns off ( between ten and twenty seconds ) release and re press same buttons but now at the same time...till you get Bootloader Screen.
Once in Bootloader you will find info such as S-on or S-off, Menu with Fastboot, Recovery, Reboot etc.
Press Fastboot and connect your ONE to your PC.
You Will see Fastboot turns into FASTBOOT USB, now you are OK.
In your PC open CMD (terminal), just press MENU in windows and in the search small windows, type CMD and Enter.
A black windows OS-like will open, you will need to do the following:
Using "cd.." means "cd dot dot", just in case, go back till get this path "C:/"
Once in "C:/" you will type "cd fastboot"
Now path turns into "C:/fastboot"
OK, now we need to type two commands
"fastboot erase cache" press enter
You will see a message like "sending...." at the end will say "ok"
Then last one
"fastboot flash boot boot.img" press enter.
Once says "OK", we are good.
Time to unplug Your ONE, and press Hboot, well, the idea here is to get RECOVERY
Once in Recovery Mode, we install the Rom as normal, remember to full wipe manually!!! (data/cache/dalvik)
Select "INSTALL" swipe, when it is done, reboot!

I just want to say thank you for this fantastic ROM! I've tried many and they are all great, but there was always one thing here or there that just didn't work quite the way I wanted it to (I'm on a Mac and Android File Transfer didn't work on a many of the Sense 5.5 ROMs I tried, but with SD it works flawlessly). Another welcome addition is working WiFi Calling!!!!

Hey guys...very excited about this great rom. However, there are a couple of things that are not working for me. My hotspot is not turning on and neither is my wifi. Could it have anything to do with the kernel?
Also, what is different in your uncut version and can it be updated through svn?
any help would be appreciated.

My wifi works fine, are you on the most current firmware? If not, you may want to flash that. If you are, then maybe you have a bad download.

Uncut has some bugs, easy fix is no camera and no tw or fb in blinkfeed, flashing ElementalX will fix all.
When flashing ElementalX 6.1.1, do not reboot after installation. Wipe cache and dalvik, then reboot, once update and load everything, reboot again.
Wifispot is lost, and few things more.

I think he is talking about Uncut.
Uncut rom has new tweaks, base a clran nand back from Gravedigger official euro ota. Runs better, bettrr battery.. Motox sounds, n7 wallpapers as stock, deleted all htc backup... Few more

Couple of more observations. I noticed tha the Zoe feature is missing as well as the focus bar on the sense camera...? And what happened to button feature where you can set how you want google voice command to activate (swipe up or long press) in settings menu?
One more question before I go. When there is an update through SVN do i have to click on update only in aroma to apply it or do I have to flash the rom again like normal?

Based on AOSPAL, as always KaosDroid will be compiled from source, I sometimes do add features from other sources, just post on G+ if you want something adding.
This ROM is based around my needs with a little extra.
This ROM is not only based around my needs, its also built around the community's needs. In the past if they have asked for something to be included or changed in the ROM it has been done.
I have made my own GAPPS and its placed in the gapps directory of my goo.im folder. Its not that much different from the one that AOSPA has, It Includes all the common Google Apps and some extras. It is updated every time i upload a new ROM making sure that all the gapps are up to date.
I dont mind any critism at all as long as its constructive, any ideas are also welcome!

FAQ
Some of these questions have never been asked but if youv'e thought of them or ever wondered why, here they are
Q: Why is this ROM so big when others are about 120MB in size?
A: CyanogenMod alone is 220MB. When you add all my options it gets quite large, e.g. Launchers, Browsers, Kernels and Tweaks, e.g. True Tablet UI, Stock Nav Bar, Alternative Themes, then there's apps like Adobe Flash, BBC iPlayer and a root file explorer.
Q: Have you thought of cutting the size of your ROM down by removing apps such as Flash Player and the root file explorer?
A: I have, But then it means side loading or re-downloading them, possibly setting permissions and alot more time to set up the ROM as you want it, plus its easier to have it all in one place, saves on backup storage, and if you don't want them, don't select them, thats why the options are there.
Q: Why have you changed your base from AOSP to CyanogenMod?
A: Basically CyanogenMod has fixes when it comes to bugs, loopholes and security issues, whereas AOSP doesn't have as many, its not updated as frequent, and doesn't have the CM team behind it!
Q: Can you add support for "this" or add "that" mod?
A: Yes, its usually not an issue, post the request in the thread or pm me, i will add the request to the OP, and add it in the next update, unless its slightly more complicated like gesture support, this will take time and therefore will be added a few versions later.
Q: Why so many releases so often?
A: Simple version: I lost my job and i like to learn
Not so simple version: With Android there is and always will be updates, fixes, customisations and mods that i and the community would like. I try to keep on top of these adding them in and updating regulary to keep the ROM up-to-date, also you get requests, so you add them and release the update, it keeps the community happy and your ROM up-to-date with the latest fixes and customisations that everyone wants.
Q: Why is there some bugs in almost every version?
A: Bugs are like rats, your never more than 10 feet away from one of them (10 lines of code in this case), there are going to be bugs in every ROM no matter how good the developer is. For example, in V3.6/3.6.1 there was an issue with the lockscreen not saving shortcuts, this was an issue with my ROM and any other ROM based on CM for that matter, i cannot help this, it is a CM issue, i have bugs and fixes to deal with that are on my side of the work, if i have time then yes, i will have a look at the issue try to fix it and if i do pass the findings on to the deleloper(s). Also remember that ROM's are always under development, even stable releases.
Q: What make Kaos Droid so special?
A: Besides me? The COMMUNITY! Kaos Droid was originally based around my needs and customisations and what i want. Not only that but the community has a lot of input in Kaos Droid, if they ask for a MOD, customisation or support for something it gets added which also makes the rom perfect for their needs, Kaos Droid started of as a small ROM the community spoke and the community got, its as simple as that.
Q: Why are you including requests from the community for somthing you don't or might not use?
A: Simple there are people/users out there that either don't know how or dont have the time to build a cusom ROM, and why not include the requests 99% of the time i actually use them, i have not had one request yet that i haven't used or thought it shouldn't be included.
Q: What's you aim for Kaos Droid?
A: That's easy: reliability, speed, customisation and hopefully being the best

A: I liked the work other Dev's were doing and what they achived, so I thought to myself if they can do it so can I.

Reading the credits list above, I see you have Turbo Boost credited. Does that mean it is built into the rom? I remember some issues when I used to run that on my Sensation, once the alloted space in the partitions was used up, the phone would lag big time. Don't know if that is the same situation here. It worked well before the space was used, but after a short time, would lag. I remember having to adjust swappiness values, swap space etc, but never really found the sweet spot. Anyway, just curious.
This should be in development forum, even AOSPAL is rated as unofficial PA.
Also, just want to notify that most of the ROM stuff here is based on my work. I'm currently maintaining almost all of AOSPAL repo is in the source.

I would urge Anyone reading this post to give this rom a try! . Boot time 5 seconds and when you wipe dalvic cache / cache you watch how fast it rebuilds once boot up completes, I have never used a rom with this speed seriously.

The Turbo boost was in the previos version running JB4.3 i just havent really cleaned up the thread (in the to do list)

Thanks for the Info, i assume that i would need to get a Moderator to move this thread, also i will add you to the credits as most of this is your work, and thankyou, if it wasn't for you mainating the AOSPAL source this ROM wouldn't be as good, i liked the PA rom's but the AOSPAL fitted better for what i was looking to get on my device, and then there was a few things missing like ActiveDisplay (which i also wanted) so i decide to create this rom working from the AOSPAL sources

Oddly after goo finished 'preparing my download' (at which point u get a toast message saying 'download started') I was taken to a 'this webpage cannot be displayed message' so I commented that the link wasn't working but then later upon checking my download folder KD GApps was there... so idk might have had smthg to do with the syncing... and sorry I just hadn't had time to report back to let u kno... but anyway I'm takn ur ROM for a spin... I'll report back after running it for a little while... thanks for ur work and for your quick response to my false alarm haha... (thanks button x 1000)

Strangely my CPU freq is stuck at 1.5ghz. Reboot still the same.
Also aosp browser disappeared after flashing gapps.

I will look into the CPU freq.
Yes if you install GAPPS the following happens (or should happen wip):
AOSP Browser -> Replaced by Chrome Browser
AOSP Calendar -> Replaced by Google Calendar
AOSP Email + Exchange -> Replaced by Gmail
AOSP Gallery -> Replaced By Google Photos
AOSP MMS/ Messaging --> replaced by Google Hangouts (needs to be activated)
if you want to retain any of these apps look in your sdcard/storage location for a file containing the word gapps in the name open it up and change the default values from true to false

Does it make sense for GMail to replace the generic email client? I don't think so.
Does installing your GAPPS package give you anything that you wouldn't get just installing the apps from the play store?
Easy to turn autohide navbar on for all full screen apps?

I prefer AOSP email to gmail... His gapps include faceunlock and photosphere, which don't come from the play store. You can always remove gaps you don't need after you've installed the package and booted the ROM, or before if you edit the gapps .zip yourself... Immersive mode is part of android 4.4, but only some apps take advantage of the immersive mode functionality/code. Hope that helps.

We are assuming that you are S-Off and SuperCID recommended. Right? If not, read carefully and ask lots of questions!
How do I install the SkyDragon Rom?
Download the latest SkyDragon Rom zip from the download section
Make sure to check that the MD5 checksum matches with the one posted on the download page
Place the zip file on your internal (virtual) SD card
Reboot your phone into recovery TWRP or CWM depending on what is recommended in OP with the specific Rom version
Make a backup of your current Rom
Select to install SkyDragon Rom in recovery and follow the instructions in Aroma installer always selecting full wipe to start the installation
Note: I always prefer to manually wipe cache, Dalvik cache, and data in recovery before starting the Rom installation. Trust me, this method does help prevent many issues.
How do I get into recovery?
Hold down power button and volume down at the same time.
Can I install themes and make custom mods?
We do not recommend themes and mods that are not included in the Rom or are not in the SD Hub. If you have any questions follow the main SkyDragon thread, read a few pages, and feel free to ask questions. Someone will be willing to help you. We have the best and friendliest Themers on board!
Can I install a custom kernel?
Yamil (Dragonesdenano) releases a specific Rom version to run optimally with the stock kernel
We now also have custom kernels! Created by acclaimed SkyDragon Dev HolyAngel. SD custom kernels may be included in Aroma at the time of release. Follow this thread for news and updates.
Does SkyDragon Rom include radio firmware, Hboot, recovery, etc.?
Never!
Will installing SkyDragon erase my SD card/internal memory?
No personal data stored on your internal memory will be affected by installing SkyDragon Roms. Photos, music and other files stored on your SD card will remain untouched. The most likely way to erase your internal storage is by flashing stock firmware updates (because they contain stock recovery), flashing incompatible kernels, and incompatible custom recoveries. (always make a backup)
Should I flash radio firmware?
If firmware flashing is required, we will advise so in the OP with the new ROM release.
With the first Lollipop Rom 5.0 you must flash the Dev firmware we have posted.
In future Rom releases, you may stick with your region’s firmware as long as that firmware is from the current released base, such as 5.0.1, 5.0.2, etc.
Firmware flashing is not required for every Rom update. Most of the time it is best to remain on your phone’s native firmware for best signal reception, battery life, and overall performance.
Since we try to bring you the latest HTC updates in a custom Rom, we use HTC Rom variants that are released for specific regions that have firmware that may not perform very well for you. So we advise against flashing the latest firmware “just because it is new”.
If you choose to flash firmware make sure it is customized, i.e.; the stock recovery and boot image is removed to prevent the possibility of erasing your personal data. Ask about it in our thread.
I am S-On, can I install SkyDragon? ***
As long as you have the current base firmware Yes you can! Please feel free to ask questions in our thread.
***If you are on KitKat Rom firmware you cannot flash 5.0 Lollipop Rom if you are S-On.
You will have to wait for your native region OTA to arrive from HTC before flashing any custom Lollipop Rom.
You can always unlock your M8 using FireWater (free), if that doesn’t work, use SunShine (for a fee)

Now extract from Rom.zip (SkyDragon M8 Rom) the file called "boot.img" and place it in your fastboot folder
Put your M8 into FASTBOOT USB MODE ( first hold down POWER button and, then VOL down, you will see button lights blinking. Once Your M8 Turns off ( between ten and twenty seconds ) release and re press same buttons but now at the same time...till you get Bootloader Screen.
Once in Bootloader you will find info such as S-on or S-off, Menu with Fastboot, Recovery, Reboot etc.
Press Fastboot and connect your Butterfly S to your PC.
You Will see Fastboot turns into FASTBOOT USB, now you are OK.
In your PC open CMD (terminal), just press MENU in windows and in the search small windows, type CMD and Enter.
A black windows OS-like will open, you will need to do the following:
Using "cd.." means "cd dot dot", just in case, go back till get this path "C:/"
Once in "C:/" you will type "cd fastboot"
Now path turns into "C:/fastboot"
OK, now we need to type two commands
"fastboot erase cache" press enter
You will see a message like "sending...." at the end will say "ok"
Then last one
"fastboot flash boot boot.img" press enter.
Once says "OK", we are good.
Time to unplug Your Butterfly S, and press Hboot, well, the idea here is to get RECOVERY
Once in Recovery Mode, we install the Rom as normal, remember to full wipe manually!!! (data/cache/dalvik)
Select "INSTALL" swipe, when it is done, reboot!

I guess if u are S On, must flash boot.img via cmd. If u could flash others, this one is the same. Make a nand first

everyone is s-on, never flashed boot.img via cmd for this phone.. it flashes fine with the rom. :highfive:
Does anyone know which setting it is in this Rom that is causing the BlinkFeed to be 3 times its normal size? Also, is the sense 5 toolbox function since this is sense 6? Thanks

No need those instructions will be needed once we s-off. To flash the rom use twrp and full wipe in aroma and it works

Yeah, I'm sure I did. It doesn't even have the Clock at the top like usual. I did erase cache and fastboot the boot.img also

would be recommended yeah, I believe Mikey had a method to flash the latest bootloader and modem with 1 click in windows. let me dig it up

TIPS:
First boot up (after doing an clean flash) can take up an long time (around the 5 minutes), this is because this ROM is deodexed!
Settings -> Wallpaper FC's!? That's normal... because you have to flash the Samsung Wallpaper picker add-on with the XtreStoLite Aroma Add-on Package for this (see post #2)
To enable 'Okay Google everywhere', you need to follow this guide
Heart rate sensor not working in S-Health? Then make sure that you have installed S-health via the Aroma addon package, and not via the Play store or the Galaxy App store.
Use ONLY this Xposed framework version for this ROM (arm64 sdk23 for Marshmallow and arm64 sdk22 for Lollipop)
If you're experiencing ANY issue, then first make sure that you're on the latest bootloader/firmware (see post #4 for latest one for your model), and that you've done an clean install (data/factory reset before installing the ROM).

How-to Install:
Install Marshmallow bootloader & modem and install custom recovery:
- Install the correct MM bootloader & modem for your model with Odin (see post #5 of this thread)
- Make sure that you have an working TWRP custom recovery installed
(This trips your KNOX warranty counter!)
Install the ROM
- Copy the ROM & Aroma add-on package zip files to your internal of your Phone
- Reboot to recovery mode (TWRP)
- Do an Data/Factory reset first in your recovery
- Start the installation of the ROM
- Optional: flash the Aroma add-on package, to install missing components or extra add-ons (You can do this anytime!)
- Reboot
- Enjoy the Rom!

TIPS:
First boot up (after doing an clean flash) can take up an long time (3-5 minutes), this is because this ROM is deodexed!
Settings -> Wallpaper FC's!? That's normal... because you have to flash the Samsung Wallpaper picker add-on with the XtreStoLite Aroma Add-on Package for this (see post #2)
To enable 'Okay Google everywhere', you need to follow this guide
Heart rate sensor not working in S-Health? Then make sure that you have installed S-health via the Aroma addon package, and not via the Play store or the Galaxy App store.
If you're experiencing ANY issue, then first make sure that you're on the latest bootloader/firmware (see post #4 for latest one for your model), and that you've done an clean install (data/factory reset before installing the ROM).
All the Google Play Store apps are NOT included in the ROM (or Aroma add-on package), you can download those by yourself in the Play Store.

How-to Install:
Root & Install custom recovery: (Only needed if you haven't done this yet)
- Flash CF-Root for your model with Odin
- Make sure you have an custom recovery installed (I advise you to use TWRP) (2.8.7.1 or newer REQUIRED for v.2.1 > of this ROM!!)
(This trips your KNOX warranty counter!)
Install the ROM
- Make sure you're on an recent Bootloader & Firmware (Android 5.1.1 Bootloader REQUIRED for v.2.1 and higher!!)
- Copy the ROM zip file to your internal of your Phone
- Do a Data/Factory reset first in your recovery
- Start the installation
- Reboot
- Enjoy the Rom!
- Optionally: Flash the Aroma add-on Package, to restore some of the removed Samsung Apps/Functions that you want (You can do this anytime!)
I would NOT recommend to restore system apps or app data of your apps with Titanium backup, only the apps themselves.
Restoring App data or System apps can cause problems with the apps. (This applies to any ROM!)

The ROM is also 180MB lighter than the Pure Edition because it's deodexed, and for me it feels a bit faster than the Odexed Pure Edition of this ROM.
Also the Aroma add-on package (from post #2) is an nice addition for this deodexed mod version.
One question to ask on behalf of those on your odex ROM - can we dirty flash this or is a full wipe required?

Always do a full wipe before flashing.....btw he said it in the first post......:silly:
- Do a Data/Factory reset first in your recovery

Both are possible.
You can do it in 1 flash or you can flash the aroma addon package anytime when you want!
Before I flash, you mention to check post #3 for boot loader etc. Is this a hangover from the Pure version or is it still necessary?
Dear OP... There's a problem. I downloaded the file XtreStoLite_G920F-I_DeodexedModEdition_v.1.0_XXU1AOD9_ROM.zip
When I start installing from TWRP after full wipe, in installs the Pure Edition rom... Is it possible you uploaded the wrong
file?

Oops, sorry I forgot to edit the ROM name in the build.prop file, so it still says Pure Edition, but it is definitely the Deodexed Mod edition of the rom.
I' sorry but I had to restore my backup... This is really strange.. The file name is correct. it'a says Deodexed
but actually it's the PureEdition... I think that OP has to reload the file...

It's always recommend to be on the same bootloader version as the firmware Base from the rom... (XXU1AOD9 for this version)

As I said it's really the Deodexed Mod version which you can find in the first post, although it says Pure Edition in Settings -> About this device.
But that's only an visually 'bug'.
