The first thing you do when you set your mind to flashing is to back up EFS folder and place it in a vault.
And i'm pretty sure that it didn't just dissapear, you must have done something.
No back up either?
Try going back to the ROM that came with the phone, you might get lucky (unlikely).
Try sii_repair from playstore too.

i did it all but no sii repair.
i will try it and then upload the results..
Look up z3x repair box to enter imei manual. Dont go to 4.0.4 as prob software. Also do you have a nandroid bkup? Run that if you do.

Lost imei-null-null after TWRP restore

Hi guys forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong part I'm nooob here but i just thought after my what i thought was huge troubles ide post my own imei fix in the hope it might help some one else.
so what happened i have recently it GT-I9300 i rooted it and have been carefully playing with installing a rom so i ended up flashing TWRP and made a full backup of my stock rom before i did anything. So anyways it askes you to choose backup partitions so i chose all efs included. So everything was going good i flashed sotmax all was working fine. Ide been hoping from one rom to another restoring and backing up as i go until i went to restore my stock rom all was good until i rebooted and no imei. A circle with a line through it instead of signal. So i read and read about fixes and this and that it can really be so confusing for a noob it got a little much so i thought ide give a few things a go my self. First i made a copy of my efs folder saved it on the furtherest thing away from my phone my PC and started thinking.
So anyways ide been thinking how could the efs folder not be right when ide made a full backup in TWRP and a full restore and still no imei until i think i realized that TWRP doesn't wipe and replace the efs folder with my backed up one but somehow just over writes what's already in it and leaves whatever was wrong still there I'm not to sure about this so please correct me if I'm wrong I'm just learning.
So the reason i say this is because i tried full wipe in TWRP and restore with EFS box checked 4 times and still no IMEI until. . I simply erased the whole EFS folder in TWRP then just restored my rom which ide tried many times without success and presto i had IMEI again. I was so glad too. Now I'm just going to do a comparison between the folder i saved and the one i have now and determine the exact problem but yeah i just thought ide post it because in the end after days of reading it was as simple as having to delete the whole folder first before restore. .. which i think TWRP should do but obviously doesn't.
So i hope this post can at least help someone like me out in the future.
Just restore your EFS
I don't understand ?? I wasn't asking a question i was just explaining how i fixed my phone when it had no imei i did restore the efs over 4 times and it didn't work until i erased the whole EFS folder first then restored it.

Not to rub salt in a wound but you could have figured this from reading around a bit. Its very well documented around every efs related thread, tutorial, etc.

Using it as a wifi only pda? Deleting efs folder means no network connection ever again. If flashing a firmware later than EMGx doesn't help then a repair is required.

I am very sure there is a method to recover back emei. Idk why people always ask before searching. Just google it.
maybe this can help http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1918601

Did you backup your EFS? If so, restore it and a good backup. That should get you going again.
If not you may need to use flashtool and still might need to restore EFS.
There's a link to a flashable backup/restore of EFS in the FAQ.

It's question #4 in the FAQ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=55225699
But if you didn't back it up prior, in at least TWRP, then it won't do any good now if it's messed up. It'll just backup the bad one.

This is as close as I know of to repair a bad EFS. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38348745&postcount=1
While its not for our phone, the steps I think will be about the same.
Your EFS may not be bad though. It's hard to say. But when I've made GSM conversions in the past, EFS got erased usually and I luckily had it backed up to save my.....butt.
This is why it's in the OP's of most of the Root, Unlock, FAQ, Stock ROM threads. If this gets screwed up, you have a lot of work ahead of you at best.
You're actually lucky to still have a working phone.
Ok well all I get is like calls and texts but then the "hands free activation" shows up runs then I have 3G but then it fails and I go back to just calls and texts. I also never had GSM with this phone only CDMA (Sprint)
So Flashtool worked for you, and you used ZV6 .tot?
Maybe try using ZV4 tot so you can still have root. Then see if you still have issues.
I was used the flash tool to get on ZV4 then I did a system update to ZV6
Can someone help please its still broken, but only on the lg rom
I think you need to go back to zv4, you shouldn't have taken the update, there's no way to root zv6. I'm not even sure if you can get back to zv4 if you took the update, you'll have to read read read. If you can't get back &byou didn't back up efs, then someone who knows allot more then me will try to help, sounds like a dead device, but don't know. Hope you figure it out.

Damaged EFS Partition?

Hi All, I have a Problem. I have Ruined my Edge. Genius.
I have some how (read: Messed about with incomplete ROMS) damaged/Repartitioned my EFS partition. I can boot into the device and I HAVE an EFS folder with files in it, but still an IMEI 3500000000000000000000 or similar as well as no signal.
I know Its stupid, even more so to not have a backup, so you don't need to remind me, but any ideas on rectifying this? I know some people have had to get a new Motherboard installed when the EFS partition is missing or empty, but mine is there. I'm hoping something can be done. Maybe a .PIT file? I dunno....
TO NOTE:
I HAVE tried Smartswitch. NO, It didn't work
Any help would be Apprectiated
