[Q] Sprint LG G3 to Straight Talk - Sprint LG G3

Hey guys,
As the title states I have an LG G3 from sprint. I bought the phone full price, so I have the unlock code from them. I cannot for the life of me find out where to enter that in, I have tried everything in the dialer possible. I have straight talk sims and I would like to know any possible way to get this working asap

Sprint doesn't provide unlock codes did they give your MSL code by a chance? If thats so you don't have any unlock code. It depends do you want to stay on your stock rom or can you go to aosp. Its harder to use a GSM carrier with the stock rom but it is some what possible. I would use this rom if you flash everything that you have to you can have your phone unlocked in the matter of minutes. All you have to do is select the correct apn from a very very big list and then reboot.
Heres the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/spr...m-unoffical-dirty-unicorns-beta-test-t3039365
Link you have anymore questions PM me and I can help you "asap"

Im not sure what code exactly, it's a 6 digit code that she said "unlocked" the phone for other carriers. I prefer to not root the phone and stay on stock rom, if at all possible

Your best bet is to buy a GSM phone. CDMA are basically locked to their intended carrier if made before february of this year. Everything out from now on will work cross carrier.

Bad News.... If you want to make this phone work with Straight Talk... the first thing you have to do.. IS ROOT.

If you want you can PM me and I will help you root

I apologize to you guys for the late response. I sold the G3 and bought me a OnePlus One. Absolutely love the freedom with this phone

Security Relocker
hey all, we (olinex) got many requests for a security relocker
so now, you can easily do it
steps:
1. make sure you have stock radio flashed already. (i.e. not the one that unlocker flashes)
2. also make sure your radio is ON
3. download this attachment, extract, put it on your device, execute it
4. it should say relock was OK, and then you're done. if it says error, then reboot, retry, and again make sure radio is turned on (check in comm manager).
what if i just want to unlock security? still have to pay?
Good question since my TP isn't sim locked either

Security unlock ?
Hi guys,
Could somebody explain me what is the security lock ?
As far as i know, SIMlocking is depending on the provider who sells you the phone. For example, here in Belgium, it is forbiddent to SIMlock a phone, so my raphael is already SIM unlocked. Otherwise I would have to use the tool proposed here for it.
Concerning CID unlock, I would have to replace the SPL with HARDSPL if I wanted my raphael to be in SuperCID mode (stop me if i am telling craps).
But i have never heard about a security lock. What is the purpose of it ?
My previous device was a wizard, and I just needed to CID unlock it to flash any rom on it. But it seems that things have changed...
Thanks in advance for your answers,
j

it's an MSM7xxx thing, allows you to do extra things like flash a diamond radio on raphael.
hardspl is not making your device truly supercid, but that is just a theoretical difference between hardspl and the real cid unlock, so do not worry.

Ok... I'm a really noob.
Let's say i have a brand new Touch Pro, do i need a security/CID-Unlocked Touch Pro to do Hard-SPL? I just want to flash it with the newest roms. I don't mind donating money for XDA, but i'm just really confuses right now..

You do not need a security unlock to flash the newest roms, but you DO need to Hard-SPL. Once Hard-SPL is installed, your device is CID Unlocked, and then you can install any rom or radio rom (as long as it's a Raph radio!) that you want.
A SIM unlock lets you use SIM cards from other providers, ie if your phone is locked to a provider, after a SIM unlock, you will be able to use sim cards from other providers.
I haven't seen too much about security unlock, as far as I know the only use for that at the moment is to install say, a radio from a Diamond onto your Raph...
Hope this helps...

Some Clarification Please...
I just want to get it all straight in my own mind before I "brick" my new phone inadvertently.
I have a new touch pro supplied by Vodafone UK. I want to do two things:
1. flash the latest roms to my phone
2. use various sim cards (some non Vodafone) from time to time
I thought that if I flashed HardSPL and then my chosen rom I could accomplish these two objectives?
from what i've read it appears that I could achieve point No.1 but to be able to use different sim cards I need to pay for some sort of unlock code?
can someone please confirm that my understanding is correct?
Many thanks.

HardSPL will allow you to flash different ROMs.
If your handset is locked to vodafone (which they normally are when you get them from a telco) and you want to use Sims from other telcos, then you will also have to use the SIM Unlock tool referred to at the beginning of this thread.
Thanks for the info apd...
as a matter of interest I tried a BT sim card in the phone and it works no problem so it appears that Raphs supplied by Vodafone UK are not 'locked' into only accepting their sims!

[REF] Enter in P500 unlock menu

Hi,
I already have a network unlock code from my operator, but neither they or myself can work out where to enter it!
I have googled and sent LG an email but I haven't heard anything.
Does anyone know where I should enter the unlock code?
Thanks
Try this:
How to insert the Unlock CODE into your LG P500 Optimus One
Insert a not accepted SIM Card and turn ON your LG P500 Optimus One.
Your LG P500 Optimus One will display "phone restricted".
Select Cancel
Your LG P500 Optimus One will display "phone restriction code".
Enter the Unlock CODE you received from UnlockallCellular.com
Select OK
Your LG P500 Optimus One is now unlocked!
Cheers
Hi,
thanks I forgot to mention I tried that. When I have another SIM in it it doesn't say restricted, only says Handset Network Locked. It doesn't give me the option to enter anything
I think there is a *# combination.
I allready saw it here on the forum.
But can't find it anywhere...
Try this code:
2945#*500#
Cheers
Thank you ever so much!
Score one for XDA!
Really appreciated
If it worked please change the topic name to "[REF] Enter in P500 unlock menu", for further searches.
Cheers

I guess that this codes are for unblock phone in other operators net, aren't? If so, then it haven't sence for me. Our operators have to sell already unlocket mobiles.
2945#*500# doesn't work on my phone. i am using CM7 Rom by Mik
I came across a site which is selling LG unlock code for €8.00 but i don't know how to enter the code.
And also when i insert a sim from different network, it doesn't ask for unlock code or doesn't even show that my phone is restricted. Only says no network. Is that because i am no using LG branded rom?
I took the phone to a unlocking shop and they said they could unlock the phone by connecting it to a computer. By changing some firmware details. But i am not too sure about this. I am using Mik's rom and i don't want them to change anything around. I have custom recovery installed and i little afraid about this. And i am also afraid that after they change the firmware will i be able to flash new ROM? and if i flash new ROM will that lock my phone again?
So if you guys have any idea, please share
ı using 2945#*500# ' Your Phone is not personalized. ' ????
i can confirm, dialing 2945#*509# does not work on Mik's CM7 rom. It's worthwhile to note that the last three digits should change to whatever the model number of phone is (for me, I have an LG P509-T). It's my assumption that you must be on the stock firmware, or at least a firmware that is based on the stock ROM in order for this to work. I remember several months ago I tried this on MegatronV1 and I was able to get the unlock screen to come up, but I had no idea how to get an unlock code at the time.
I suppose that for those of us who are running Gingerbread, the only solutions for this are to roll back to a froyo rom based on the original firmware, roll back to the original firmware itself (hope you made a nandroid backup before you got all flash happy!) or if you're intent on sticking with gingerbread, wait a couple months until the Gingerbread firmware has been officially pushed to the Optimus and the devs can start cooking roms based on the new firmware.
Just a thought; if you unlock your phone on a custom firmware when you flash another rom, do you have to unlock it again? I'd be interested to find out.

Thanks, tried all 5. None worked here. KOODO in canada in case anyone comes across the thread in a search
I too have a Koodo phone. Th # sequence stated does in fact bring me to the unlock screen. Unfortunately it says I only get 10 chances. I believe there are different unlock codes as per your IMEI. What gets me is, the people in the malls who sit in their kiosks and unlock phones at $40 to $50 bucks a piece are just typing the IMEI into a program and popping out an unlock code. I would really like to get my hands on that software, and then I would start doing the unlocking on the side for far less than what they charge.
Thanks!

Most ROMs are lineage based
As far as Carrier are concerned, I'm an ATT customer. But I have no problems using TMobile or any of the many spin offs from them both.
I recommend these because their GSM carrier's and most all unlocked phones work with them.

I want to get an unlocked phone soon . Look up Game of Roms on YouTube. He shows new Roms. It's usually a pixel or redmi phone . Be sure your phone is treble enabled and you can install the gsi can . I believe that's generic system image , and you can install on your phone.

Question AT&T Base Firmware needed for A526U

Hello, looking for some help to see if anyone can help me find the firmware of my A526U specifically for AT&T? I have moved my phone over from TMobile where I purchased it from, and am looking to re-flash it to AT&T. Was working fine for a few months, now I'm no longer able to make or receive calls.
After inserting the new AT&T SIM card, the TMobile splash screen still shows up. The Service Provider software version reflects TMobile still as well and I'm concerned that for whatever reason the phone did not fully update after inserting the new SIM. I spent 2 hours on the phone with AT&T support after the store said they couldn't help me. Pulled the SIM card out, restarted phone, put it back in, reset network settings etc. I've searched sammobile and I cannot find the AT&T firmware, only TMobile, Sprint, and TMK. I would sincerely be greateful please if anyone could help me by pointing me in the right direction for the firmware for this model phone.
AT&T doesn't make their firmware available publicly - for any device. I have a source who can get me Samsung firmware for any USA device - even AT&T. But he charges me for each one
I appreciate the quick response! Is there any option I have here? Could I try flashing a "U1" firmware to his phone then? He's currently on A526USQS4CVA6. I actually found your other post as I was also working on my note 10 plus - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/n975u-and-n975u1-firmware-links-here.3957648/. If I'm reading that correctly, I should be able to correct? If so, how can I tell if the version I'm downloading is "downgrading the bootloader"

1. Yes, you can try flashing U1 if you want
2. You can't "downgrade the bootloader" - Odin won't let you.
3. In A526USQS4CVA6, "4" is the position of the bootloader level/revision/binary. Make sure that whatever U1 firmware you download also has a 4 in that spot and you'll be fine. (Or just get the firmware from Frija or one of the other similar firmware download tools, because those throw you whatever the newest version is automatically)

My AT&T N10+ N975U is running on Pie. It transitioned seamlessly with no changes made on my end. It was already using 4G VoLTE though. Same sim card.
I would contact AT&T advanced tech support as there may be an easier way.
4G VoLTE needs to be enabled in hidden settings.

Yup. But OP has a T-Mobile model that they moved to AT&T. There's also no guarantee that a Note 10+ will work the exact same way as an A52. You're also running 3 year old firmware, while OP is fully updated.
So i don't see the correlation.

The old firmware works fine on 4G VoLTE... that's likely not the issue. What is the issue is it wasn't running on 4G VoLTE so it's likely the settings and sim card need updating not the firmware.
Hi All, thought I would provide an update... After spending hours on the phone with AT&T support this week and being frustrated with the AT&T store, I decided to proceed forward with flashing the U1 version. What started this all was last week my son could no longer make or receive calls on his AT&T A52 phone (we ported it from TMobile September 2021). The store and AT&T advanced tech support said there were issues with people's BYOD devices, even though the A526U and A526U1 shows on the supported devices list. The store rep said he's been getting people in left and right that can't make or receive calls, and all they can do is upsell customers to an AT&T branded phone.
SO... my son's phone was on A526USQS4CVA6. Startup screen showed TMobile still, even with the AT&T SIM card in it. I proceed to flash the A526U1OYM4CVB2_ATT that I found from Sammobile. Was hoping someone had just the "U" version but I couldn't find this anywhere. When doing the flash, I used the Home_CSC file (I had to download a patched version of ODIN as it was stuck as setting up connection) and when it finished it would just keep going back to the download screen on the phone and I freaked out. I did some more research and decided to flash again using CSC instead of Home.CSC (I did a backup using smart switch on my PC luckily). This WORKED! I'm guessing because the software version he was on was different than what I was trying to flash too so maybe this is why I needed the CSC for a clean flash (there was no user data file that downloaded from SAMMOBILE).
Now, calls are working on my son's phone again! AND his service provider software version now reflects ATT vs TMB! Man this has been one heck of a journey lol. I've seen numerous forums on google of people having the same trouble with me, their BYOD devices not working. Seems a flash of U1 worked for me, so hopefully this helps others out there!
