I bought an m9 outright, when I called to unlock it they gave me the msl code. So.... Now what? From what I've been reading the msl is useless. How do I get the thing unlocked? Supercid? Place to enter msl? I have no idea. Anybody have any pointers?

I unlocked my phone and put in my simcard from T-mobile and the phone says that the network is locked and to put in the unlock code. What the heck is the unlock code. Isn't it usually something easy like 12345.

No, it is not usually easy. If you did unlock your phone, then it would not be locked to the network - that is, after all, the actual definition of unlock.
Try searching on unlock - or just look up at that sticky atop this forum. Good luck.

Has anyone ever tried this ItemsQuest software program to unlock your 3125 on Ebay for $10?
Says you can use the program to unlock as many phones as you want.
It is not a IMEI type unlock so does it work correctly??

Hi, i`ve bought an unlock code for 5 euro. And i recieved it. But the problem is i dont know how to enter it. When you put a foreign sim card to locked phone it asks for code i think. But photon does not ask any codes. How can i enter the unlock code i bought? Was that just a waste of money?

yes that was a waste of money. the phone is already UNLOCKED for international usage but it is locked for any other sim carrier in the USA. outside of usa you can use it freely.

start up process is common with all android devices.
one time process as long yu do not factory reset.
Next time donate 5euro to some dev so that we have some goodies.

I got my Terrain months ago and using AT&T. Seller already given me the unlock code and I won't unlock it until now, I am going to change carrier, and forgot how to enter the unlock code. I sent message to seller but it seem he already forgot me and telling me all phone were unlocked before sent.
I am stuck with using my old phone, I appreciate if anyone can tell me how to.
Tried #7320*code#, #3210*code# or **00012*CODE# from Google but no help.

You have to stick a non-AT&T SimCard in the phone. If the phone is unlocked then it will just connect to the carrier without trouble. If the phone is locked it will immediately ask you for a code and if you don't enter the correct code or cancel, it will not connect to the carrier. If you do not put a SimCard in the phone at all it will not prompt for an unlock code.
I have two of these NEC Terrains, one unlocked and one locked. Just to confirm the difference between the two I stuck a non-AT&T SimCard in the locked one. That is how I can tell you for certain that is how this phone works. I'm not just making it up or assuming this is how it should work, I've seen it with my own eyes.
