ANDROID MM INSTRUCTIONS

Yep - If you flash the D5833 I am pretty sure it will also flash your baseband, If you flash the D5803 zip i am uploading it will not flash your baseband
If your mobile data stops working after flashing D5833 just flash D5803 baseband with flashtool.
Other than that should work fine

Thanks for the info bro.

If you wipe; Data/System (just to be safe)
Then yes and after you flash it you can re-lock your bootloader if you want - or keep unlocked and use this DRM function patch (If you wanted DRM functions with a custom kernel)

I've been using this for about a week. It works well and I haven't had a problem.
Thanks!

Sorry if it will sound noob
But i can flash this with locked bootloader ?!,
Thanks

Thanks.

So long story short. If you're already on pre-rooted stock 5 firmware, you just flash the new one over the old, right?

Hi
Does your zip of the 23.1.A.1.28 firmware contain the baseband ? Btw, could you tell me which version it is ?
Thank you for your work.

Turns out the newest FW for D5833 is 23.2.A.1.62 / R8C, customized Hong Kong.
The date of the kernel is Apr 20 as opposed to Mar 30 of .28 FW, so it would be great if you could upload this one instead of the .28 SG.
Thank you for all you've done.

>For the CM/AOSP Lollipop ROM ,you need to use KK Bootloader !
You actually need JB bootloader for those. Nice tool anyway!
I always used the kitkat bootloader ...
But thanks i'll édit that
very great work
Can I use this to switch back to the lollipop bootloader but without flashing a new rom. I got the blastagator bumped TWRP was going to flash a rom but decided to stay on stock and its been acting weird. Wondering if downgrading the bootloader is causing this.

Are you sure you're talking about bootloader and not baseband? I don't think it would boot with KK bootloader at all.
For that, they should merge this patch.
Shouldn't this be in android development?

New versions added! (d803)
I leave everything separate, needless to regroup all variants in one zip .
Not many people have several G2
I will add more models with time.
If some people want to send me their bootloader, I'm interested.

Okay, last question
I am on a clean stock lollipop v30b with TWRP Bumped 2.8.6.1 installed and a KK bootloader.
To install official cyanogen i just need to download the file above and let install or i need to change recovery because of JB bootloader or Baseband or other?

The recovery should be fine I guess as it's an bumped one but just flash the nevax bootloader changer as it will flash the right bootloader/bootstack and also the good twrp recovery. So the only thing you have to do is flash the right baseband indeed. I am not sure or you need for cyanogenmod kitkat or jellybean bootloader as I didn't flashed official nightlies anymore for months. The reason why is the same as in your description.
Hey, this thing actually worked on my D802. I was coming from CloudyG3 2.1, and now I'm on lolli, and everything's is perfect order
Thanks brah!

Why do AOSP Roms(cm12.1) not allow Lollipop or Kitkat Bootloader?

Because the Loki exploit that allowed for custom firmware was patched in these bootloaders.

I'm using it since yesterday and I'm very happy it . I have not found any single bug, and the ROM is really fast.
I like all the extra features it has compared to CM too.
I will see how battery life is, and maybe test with M5 kernel.

notice the lines (that should be straight) on the photo.
the good news is that cam is almost fixed on AOSP, with kernel 3.10.x ..

Okay, quick question guys. Is this what is required?
1) Flash stock JB ROM
2)Root
3)Back Up TA Partition/UL BL
4)Install recovery (any TWRP??)
5)Flash boot.img from zip
6)Gapss, reboot etc.
Will this work? Will I just flash SuperSU to get root after ROM installed?
Thanks

you wont be able to root the Concept ROM that easily, unless you use a custom proper kernel for it. Sony introduced on Concept, verified boot security.. unrootable (unless like i said before) for now.
i would flash Sony stock .546, and then do steps i mentioned.

This port is made for the D5803 variant, so I don't know whether it works on other variants. Atm working on a universal Z3 to Z3c patch.

If you're new remind this ROM is still in BETA
Instructions :
You need unlock bootloader
D6653 is the same phone as D6603
Z3 = leo it's his name code
By default use Z3 instead of leo
BTW I think the update script is for Z3 and leo so use the recovery you want [just download New BL if you had install the new bootloader (previous installed build .200 or .264)]
Download the good one
Boot into bootloader/fastboot
fastboot the recovery (fastboot flash recovery filename.img)
reboot into recovery (Power and vol - many times in old BL / Power + Vol - holding when vibrate release Power when Sony screen release Vol - for New BL)
Wipe
Flash Rom
Optional : Flash SuperSu/Gapps
Reboot
Edit : I'm stupid ..I think I flashed a Recovery for Old BL I'm on new one .. Too many recovery in my adb folder. Trying again ..
Edit 2 : Screen backlight still crash, or maybe less.. I'm the only one with this bug ?
Edit 3 : NFC don't work but sometimes a bit buggy
Hi, I´m using this ROM 4 days and there are two problemas, the firts is with led notifications, in apps like Telegram or Whatsapp when I choose a colour like blue, in the led appear in yellow, dont make sense and the second problem is very unstable bc sametimes the mobile phone reboot with no reason.

I'm confused, what is this "new bootloader" people keep referring to. Do i have new or old bootloader, how can i find out?
Running Zyxx 6.0, hoping for a stable MM AOSP build for Z3 so i can switch

With new bootloader the recovery has his own partition so now recovery can be built without Kernel like all the other phones.
CrDroid for exemple working only on NewBootloader as you can read it here : https://plus.google.com/112116692753844849623/posts/Sa75Edq6tSU
For install the New BL you need (with an Unlocked Bootloader) to flash build .200 with EMMA (Sony Flashtool)
Download tuto : http://developer.sonymobile.com/services/flash-tool/how-to-download-and-install-the-flash-tool/
Tuto : http://developer.sonymobile.com/services/flash-tool/use-the-flash-tool-for-xperia-devices/
or by flashing .264 like said in G+ post.
I used EMMA (61Mb) which will need to download .200 (1.5Gb) when you will connect your phone
Hmm i had .264 before zyxx. I used flashing software on computer to install.
So im on new bl?

Tips
To use usb otg, just click on the “USB OTG” button in quick settings, this will enable the detection of usb devices for 30 seconds.
To boot into the new recovery you can press the vol- and power button at the same time with the tablet powered off. The touchscreen in recovery could make two or three seconds to works, don’t worry, it’s normal.
Thanks

Thank you very much for this rom.
Hello,
Thanks for releasing, I've flashed your new build and the WideVine DRM is working fine now. Good luck with getting the commits merged, hope this makes it to official status after your work to fix the last few broken items.
Anything left to fix at this stage? I see the camera is more or less fine, just a little perspective distortion in the camera app due to the preview window having the wrong dimensions which is very minor.
Thanks!

Read the lineage os blog post. Root is now an optional add-on so that users can use root-aware apps without installing root-cloaking software. Not difficult to install, just use arm64 from here: https://download.lineageos.org/extras

This can be fixed by removing first line of the updater script.
Simply download the rom for your version, use you preferred zip tool to edit the file: META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script and remove the first line.
Thank you for the rom. At last it was released publlicaly. Everything works like a charm. Only mifare cards and stock lineage camera could be a little issue.
I've read where many users who have updated from Marshmallow to Nougat have experienced fast battery drain issues. Can anyone confirm this is not an issue with this ROM or that it has been resolved with 7.1.2?

I should build a new version soon.
But in all cases you can also wipe ONLY the system partition before reinstalling the rom (I do it each time, even if not mandatory it's cleaner). You let your data partition unchanged so you will not loose anything.
Ok, so I'm ready to pull the trigger on this, but I have a few questions to be sure I do it correctly. I currently have a rooted Z4 with the custom AndroPlus kernel (it's on lollipop v6.x). So no custom rom, only custom kernel with root. So to follow this guide, I would use the flashtool with the lightened ftf, and flash the new TWRP and ROM, right? Or would it be better to just restore my tablet back to original factory state and then proceed from the beginning?

You need lightened ftp in case you have android 5/6 as twrp dosent work with old bootloader. If you have any version of noogat stock. No need of ftp. Also, it might be flashed trough androplus recovery.
Perfect, thank you. Also, right now on AndroPlus I have the DRM Fix that emulates the DRM keys to allow for Sony's Image Enhancement. Will I loose that with this ROM?

Lineage dosent need any drm fix. It's only stock feature.
the rom i was waiting for. much better battery, especially in standby. i use the tablet only on special days
and till this day it loses 3% per day (using leandroid for flightmode while display is off).
with stock nougat i lost 10% per day.

Well that's even better! Seems like the perfect solution. And from what I understand I can get full root by installing SuperSU from here using the ARM64 version and installing via TWRP?
Am I required to have an OTG cable and attach a mouse to make any of this work? Or can it be done without? Thanks for the excellent support!
