P7500 unroot and back to official - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I need to sell my tab and want to revert back to full stock. Today it has omni 4.4.2.
Can someone write me please short steps to revert it back? What is the best official ROM ?
Thank you

Just go to sammobile.com, download any stock ROM, and flash it with Odin. That will make your tab good as new.

Which one to flash? I remember some problems with WiFi and battery in some versions of 4.0
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda premium

All of them are the same. I don't remember any problems with WiFi tho. There is a deep sleep issue but that is only fixable by installing a custom kernel.

I just flashed this one P7500AILA1_P7500TIMKK1_TIM.zip with Odin
but it ask me password after reboot...
What is it?

Help! Flashing problems using stock roms.

Hi all
I decided to flash ics 4.0.3 leaked rom to my SGS2. It caused all sorts of problems such as apps not working, wifi issues, apps dissapearing from home screens, random lock ups and crashes.
So i decided i would flash back to a stock 2.3.4 rom and this is were problems started. I just get stuck in boot loops. Ive flashed on generic xeu roms that are for the uk with no luck. My phone came un branded when i bought it.
Ive tried older roms too all causing me the same problems. Im getting me roms from here and flashing using odin. It flashes fine but when i come to rebooting it just starts rebooting over and over.
Is there any reason for this? Is there a tried and tested uk rom i should be using?
If i flash the 4.0.3 rom it works everytime.
It sure sounds like your phone needs a factory reset.
Back up your current ROM with cw recovery and try it out.

Ok trying now. Thank you for your help so far.
Factory reset fixed my issue thank you so much. I can now update via kies and wait for an official release of ics to come out. Thanks again.

Look for it in settings/privacy or boot into cw recovery if you have that installed.

Upgrading to ics

Hi
Tried a quick search but got overwhelmed with the info
I've had my gs2 since launch and I rooted it and run check checkrom v6 at the moment. I want to upgrade to ics but unsure which way to go as there is a lot of conflicting info
Any advice would be appreciated

Do you want stock ICS or a custom rom ?

You just need to decide if you want a stock or a custom ROM.
As your running checkrom you're obviously not a stranger to flashing ROMs so just do a bit of research into some and flash.
Make a back using clockwork mod and if you want to go back to your old set up you can
A few custom ROMs to try are:
Ressurection Remix
Slim ICS
Elite Rom
Cyanogenmod 9
Will probably try cyanogenmod.
Is it pretty much just flash through cmw as before?
sent from my fat little fingers
I would suggest rootbox. There is an ICS version and a JB, which is actually really stable
Thanks for the reply
This is where I got confused lol so is root box the new cwm? Or do I use cmw to flash root box then use root box to flash an ics rom?
I'm getting to old for all this

Rootbox is an version of ICS. You use cwm to flash Rootbox (an ics rom)

I would recommend flashing a stock ICS ROM first and from there on flashing the ROM you actually want.

Yes, that is all it is about. Make a nandroid backup first. Then wipe it clean, cache and data, and then flash whatever ROM you choose.
I can relate to your problem, s2 seriously has a lot of ROMs so try them and stick with that which YOU like personally. If you want you can try CM9 only first or any other. Just go to that ROM's thread and they mention how to flash in the OP.

Why? There's so many people like this on xda who say this, but when I asked the Devs, its not even necessary or doesn't help.
I never ever flashed an ics rom and I went straight from stock gb to custom ics without a problem.

You're device is fine. I have the same thing and I've flashed hundreds of times. You just have to know what you're flashing and understand the basics

I am familiar with flashing. I had the LG Optimus LTE before this and flashed quite a few roms, This phone however has me awfully confused. I have been researching all day. And so far i am under the understanding that the touch cwm are not good and the use the 4.0.1.5 recovery. But what i don't understand is how do you install roms without wiping data/factory reset through cwm? don't most roms require this? and isn't that what causes the superbrick? Sorry for sounding like a noob. but can you tell me how you do your flashing?

Just use a different kernel, like siyah (www.gokhanmoral.com and make it's for the s2 not s3). Then you can wipe data. Just didn't not be on 4.0.4, and have a samsung based kernel (the kernel dev should have info in the op). Once you're on a safe kernel you can flash whatever you want and wipe data.

Yeah, you should be able to flash through Odin. And you can flash back to stock by getting a stock firmware from www.sammobile.com and flash through Odin

Yes I wiped data, cache and dalvik cache. Couldn't get into recovery so i just re-flashed my firmware via odin. All is good now and successfully flashed cm9 with no issues. Must have been a bug in the rom.

Stuck on boot screen

My SGH-T999 is stuck at boot screen after i restarted it because it wasn't responding after opening up a music player called playnow. After researching, i reflashed my phone from stock back to root but no avail. I have also wiped the cache and reset to factory settings. Please help i've tried everything except throwing it...

If the Important DATA is stored in ur phones Internal Sdcard (the 11.5 gb partition) then u can safely flash any stock firmware from ODIN
for stock firmwares u can check.
www.samfirmware.com or www.sammobile.com
and u can easily search for a video guide on youtube on how to flash a stock firmware on i9100 using ODIN.
......or you could check the stickyed threads on this forum right here on XDA for Odin flashing instructions.... No need to look elsewhere on the web when everything you need is RIGHT HERE......
This might be my S2, or it might be my W...but it's definitely CM

well modded roms are like for example
some devs take the stock rom push their kernals with some minor or major tweaks
it might be in UI or apps or can be of anything
in simple works taking a stock rom or any other rom and overlaying it with some tweaks
