I'm also looking for the E2333 model after Xperia Blog's recent report on storage issues on the E2303.
However, the only region that I know is selling the E2333 is Russia and I don't know any retailers that deliver to the UK. Let me know if get anywhere.

I am thinking of buying from Amazon.fr

It does seem that Amazon.fr has the E2333, at least for the black version which is in stock.
I was looking at the Coral version and it concerned me that the description talks about a 8GB model, whilst the headline refers to a 16GB model...

Hey, I've been interested in M4 Aqua since the February announce, and I've followed this thread since its creation. I am really disappointed, same as you, by Sony and its ridiculous choice to sell only the 8GB model in Europe. Luckily now Amazon.fr saves me! BTW, I'm sorry to tell you that Sony does not produce any Coral version with 16GB, but only white and black. You can see clearly from the white paper of Sony M4 Aqua Dual. The mono-sim model with 16GB is only available in white color.

I cannot see where it says that in the white paper. Under colours the following are listed:

Silver

At page 5, section Memory, there are listed only two code models for 16GB: E2333 and E2363 - black and white. Coral is available in modo-sim and dual-sim, but only with 8GB. Silver is only mono-sim with 8GB. Unfortunately.

Because E2333 should be black, and the E2363 white (or the contrary, now I do not remember).

There's no relation between model number and colors. My mother own a black Xperia Z3 dual and my uncle own a brown Z3 dual and both have exactly the same model number (D6633). My old Xperia M dual is black but my friend has a purple one and again, exactly the same model number (C2004).
Starting with 2013 lineup, Xperia model number changed to the format (year)(model)(variant), where the year is a letter, starting with C (e.g. 2015 is E, 2014 is D, 2013 is C, etc.), followed by model number (23 for M4 aqua) followed then by the variant (12: dual SIM, 8GB; 33: dual SIM, 16GB, etc), resulting in a full model numer like E2333, for example). Another fact is that if you consider all colors and configurations available (dual/single SIM, HSPA/LTE, 8/16GB) there aren't enough variants available to cover them all (in that case it would be 2*2*2*4 = 40 variants, but Sony released only 6). So, yes, there's no relation between model number and colors.

Snapdragon AT&T Samsung Galaxy Alpha Antutu score
Well those Benchmarks on the Exynos 8 core are great.
Unlike Galaxy S4 Octacore Version , on Alpha , the
Octacore Version can use all 8 cores at once under
Peak CPU Loads.
However, this is all academic because there are only
2 different Versions of Alpha for North America LTE and they are both Qualcomm Quad Core , one for AT&T
and one for Bell in Canada.
The Bell Canada version is available unlocked and
SEEMS to have all the bands for 3G, 4G, LTE on Tmobile USA , a great loophole.
See my thread on new Samsung Battery for Alpha also.
I am researching Alpha vs Z3 Compact for myself.
I am very curious if anyone is getting full LTE Service on EXYNOS ALPHA in USA ?
EDIT : For the past 4 months I have had the International Unlocked 850M which has all the Metro PCS/Tmo Bands except the new Band 12 and much better Speaker than qualcomm AT&T version.

So one could essentially take the Bell Canada version, root/unlock it, then be able to use T-Mobile's LTE networks? I know the International version doesn't support LTE with T-Mobile so I've been looking for a workaround with the Bell or AT&T versions.
Yes.
This one is being sold unlocked by Canada GSM and has the LTE Bands for,TMO/Metro PCS and I am no expert but in Reframed Areas the 3G band of 1900 is key.
TPhe 4G LTE and 2 G Bands are present.
I have not dealt with Canada GSM before but suggest a,
Pay Pal or Credit Card Transaction.
Canada GSM has told me via email that this is an Unlocked Canada Bell Alpha with no branding .
http://canadagsm.ca/products-Samsung-Galaxy-Alpha-SM-G850W8-Metal-Unlocked
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 1700/ 1900 / 2100
4G & LTELTE 2100, 1900, 1800, 1700, 2600, 700, 850
See these LTE Bands which are not listed on the AT&T Version ?
Should perform well on TMO according to a few sources.
Rooting will not be necessary to be on TMOBILE but you need to find out about that. I would guess Bell Canada would lock the Bootloader on these to prevent
unauthorized , unregulated Hotspot use ?
You can email Canada GSM and ask.
Again use paypal or reversible transaction in case they do not ship or return necessary etc.
This Phone should also be available from the Source and other Canadian Retailers as a Prepaid Locked Canada Bell Device, which you can unlock and use
here in USA on TMobile.
EDIT: I have confirmed with BELL CANADA , that their Alpha supports 3G 1700 AWS band also, so perfect for TMOBILE USA if you unlock.
Bell will not sell outside Canada but will sell outright IF you are in Canada.
Theoretically you can purchase an AT&T Version in USA IF you can find AT&T non Corporate Store that will sell without a Contract at $612. BUT then you need to
Unlock ( carrier unlock) but the Bands do not look right for TMobile.
The one sold at Canada GSM is an unlocked BELL CANADA Alpha 801 perfect for TMobile here,
EDIT: I just purchased the Alpha 850 M which IS an
Octacore CPU factory unlocked and made specifically for North America, Central and South America and the Caribbean.
Box says: " American SIM CARD ONLY , this Product is only compatible with a SIM Card issued from a Carrier in the Americas (North, South, Central, Caribbean)."
IF a SIM card outside the Region is used, you must first make a 5 minute call with American SIM THEN insert
the "foreign " SIM.
First Paragraph is Quote, second I paraphrased.
I find the Octacore faster, and.surprisingly the Speaker is louder and fuller than AT&T Version by far.
On mine it sounds about like ONE of the HTC One Speakers, if there were 2 on this Alpha , it would be almost as loud as HTC ONE M 8 but a little less bass.
Not sure if it is Seiren Audio Chip in the Exynos or I just got lucky, but this Speaker is not tinny like AT&T versions I heard.
Also as many have said, a bit snappier due toExynos and factory unlock.

[Q] LS990 Spirit which is unlocked would work on ANY lte/gsm?

Hi,
I almost close to buy this model.
I will pass it to a person that lives out of u.s.
The LTE network there: 2600/1800.
The GSM network there: 850/900/2100
He told that the phone is unlocked and he also figuerd it with Sprint.
They (Sprint) told him it will work in any county.
Also mentioned something with "Unlocked by EOD".
BUT:
When i read the specs of the LS990 I see under :
Network: GSM Quad Band/UMTS Tri Band/LTE Tri Band
And Under:
Frequencies: GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, UMTS 850/1900/2100, LTE Bands 25/26/41*
I can see that:
GSM - V **The Quad Band is aint someting exclusive to Spirit or U.S networks, right?
UMTS - V **The same regarding the " Tri Banad"
LTE - V **The same regarding the " Tri Banad"
And i can see that the LTE of this model is not something i know heard about in ISRAEL.
We have here 2600 & 1800 frequencies
With all that info' - can u confirm this model is like factory unlocked to work within ANY GSM & LTE global?
Thank you very much!

Sorry, not all of us are into "this world".
What does "locked down" means in my case?
By the way - the phone comes with a SIM-card slot!
Thanks for your help.
P.S: read this article and looks like it is possible to make a sim unlock within Sprint:
http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/0...ruary-11-2015-onward-domestically-unlockable/
Look, in the simplest of terms, the Sprint LG G3 is not the model you're looking for. It is not unlocked out the box, and is difficult to unlock properly because it is done through the service provider, in this case Sprint via an OTA method.
Get a proper GSM version.
Final answer i've got from Sprint:
They confirmed the phone will work in any other country.
That the phone is unlocked, that the procedure turned the LG G3 phone to a factory unlocked by all matters, to be used globaly by any LTE / GSM network.
And all i have to do is buy an 128k SIM card in my country and it will work with any carrier.
The rep' said: "it has been Unlocked and will indeed turn the LG G3 phone to a factory unlocked by all matters, to be used global by any LTE / GSM network."
I just need to turn some setting...that's all.
Hope that the rep' is right...but i talked to them few times regarding that thing.
Thanks very much!

Sorry bro. No Hebrew. I would have recognized it. Double checked right now.
Thanks very much.
Do U know if it possible to add an unavailable right to left language for a model that specifically produced to the U.S market?
One more thing is: Read that theIr are lang's which are builded in , But the provider is just BLOCKING part of them.
So in order to fix that - I shell install the zip of the MoreLocal2. (not the app).
Saw a guid on a Galaxy Note which worked on it.
Anyone know's if it supposed to work for any Android?
Thanks again.
So, I got a LS990 in Canada which won't find no LTE networks in Canada. Bell in Canada operates on 2600 and 1700 while LS990's standard is 850/1900/2500. So, I basically hate this device and didn't want to believe the fact that LTE bands had hardware dependency though these are world phones. It sucks but I would still appreciate if someone could prove me wrong.
Thanks!
Here's how to unlock additional bands. I haven't tried it as I'm not needing to unlock more bands, but it's something to read about.

LTE bands according to country?

Hello everybody,
I'm about to buy an unlocked V30 (I live in Argentina and the seller brings them from Chile) and the seller said LTE bands are not the same as in my country, so that I won't be able to use 4G. I have no problems in living with a 3G connection since there are no unlimited internet plans in my country. My question is: Is it harmful for the phone not working in all of the bands? Will I face any problem in the future?
Thanks!!!

Ask them for the model number of the unit they are selling, just in case they are importing them from somewhere other than normal sources. With the information Chazz posted, you should be able to identify which bands you need for the carrier you are going to use it on. If you are unsure, then post with carrier you are planing on using it on and one of us will specifically tell you which bands are needed and which model would be suit your needs on the available information. Some models so access more than what they are mentioned to support and others have very inaccurate information, like the H933 for the Canadian market.
Edit: This is usually the list I use to reference carrier and band info which I just noticed Chazz had posted under the image.

Yeah, that's my go-to list also and it's been pretty accurate for South American countries. I've visited Brazil six times in the past 10 years, so I'm familiar with the carriers and bands in that part of the world...
I just edited my post to put that link above the screenshot, instead of below. I meant to do that in the first place. The only way that story makes sense is if they are importing one of the South Korean LG V30 models and re-selling them in Argentina and Chile. In which case almost all the LTE bands are not even the same for Argentina!
For instance:
LG V30 V300K
Carrier: KT – South Korea
GSM: 850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900
UMTS (HSPA: 2100 (B1), UMTS1900 (B2), UMTS850 (B5), UMTS900 (B8)
LTE: 2100 (B1), LTE1800 (B3), LTE2600 (B7), LTE900 (B8)
TD-LTE: 2600 (B38), 2300 (B40)

See, with that one, you would have only LTE band 7 for Argentina or Chile carriers. And if you are using WOM, which only has LTE band 4, then you would be out of luck. Unless that model has more bands than listed in official specs, which is possible.

Mexico and some other places around the world have a massive black market for stolen cell phones where carriers don't blacklist IMEI's. Whether that might be the case or not, the model number should hopefully help a lot. I also know way too many people who think just because a carrier says it should work, doesn't make it 100% compatible and vice versa.

Yeah. And after I posted I realized he would still have LTE band 7 -- but would only be out of luck if he used the carrier that only has LTE band 7. So, I edited my post slightly.
I am curious which LG V30 model is being sold. Because as far as I can tell, the phone has not yet launched in South America -- so any LG V30 models are being imported from another country by re-sellers. On the Chile LG website, the LG G6 is still the top phone and the V30 is not mentioned at all.

I believe that phones sold in Chile are ready for Chilean networks... I hope the seller is wrong.
I'm buying it from a small business that sells computers and phones. I suppose it is legal, because it has a shop in downtown and pays all taxes. The thing is that LG never brings the latest phones officially into my country (Argentina). I'm telling you that the latest and newest LG phone sold here by official LG stores is the G5 SE.
I can't even find a mention of the V30 on any of the carriers for Chile or Argentina. I checked Claro, Entel, and Movistar and the closest thing I could find was the G6. With carriers in Chile and Argentina all using one of the following: 4, 7, and or 28. The H933 from Canada and H932SV from T-Mobile, as well as possibly other variants would be fine in your region. I mentioned those two specifically because I know all of those bands mentioned are supported by those models. In most cases, the Canadian version comes unlocked.

I'm still waiting for the phone to arrive. As soon as the seller tells me which model he's bringing, I'll post.
I also thought that it was strange that the 4G wouldn't be compatible.
Now I'm using an LG G5 H860 from Korea and it always worked like a charm.
We'll see this week.

I am hoping the seller you are dealing with is just going on what is posted and not what actually has been verified through the engineering menu. T-Mobile's model does more bands than officially mentioned by T-Mobile. I am guessing the Canadian model does as well, although no one has verified that and I don't have one to verify it personally.

I am not 100% sure as I do not own a V30 as of yet. In some Nexus devices, you can actually set a region, which have also been known to cause issues. I remember the Nexus 5 forum being full of people who selected USA when overseas and ended up losing their service. Changing the choice did not make a difference after that first selection. If I happen to pick up a V30 before yours arrives, I will definitely check and see. Otherwise, hopefully someone else will chime in and know.
Im a V30+ owner in Argentina, using Claro network, and unable to work with Lte/ 4g... that is, lack of Band 4 in the device.

What model V30+ do you have? "V30+" is not the answer. I have a US998 V30+ with band 4. Almost every V30+ has LTE band 4...
What model V30+ do you have? H930G? LS998? US998? H932? H930D? H930DS? I actually know you do NOT have any of those LG V30+ models or you would have LTE band 4.
You have one of the Korean carrier variants? Ding ding ding.
You didn't research before you bought. Every LG V30+ models except for the Korean carrier variants has LTE band 4.
The good news is you can convert your Korean carrier variant V30+ to a V30+ with LTE band 4.

Poco F1 US LTE Bands 2 & 4 Unlock Possible?? (No Longer Being Pursued)

Current Status as of 10th Nov 2018 - This effort is no longer being pursued.
Mi 8 qcn is available (thx to @JR_44) https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78020802&postcount=184
When I open it in a hex editor to swap out the IMEIs I dont see anything relevant. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78120935&postcount=186
This effort is no longer being pursued. You have @jaimani on xda and also xda (@MishaalRahman) works with Poco in providing free devices to developers so maybe they can ask Poco if this is even possible.
Current Status as of 28th October 2018.
Need qcn backup from Mi8. you will need to be rooted.
How to create one?

When I try to open fsg backup in a hexeditor I dont get anything useful. So need help with figuring that out.
If anyone has any other ideas on how to unlock the bands (other than QPST) please post here.

3G and LTE bands are not stored/referenced at 6828 and 6829 in NV browser. Thanks to @Heronicola for checking. We need to find out where these bands are. so if anyone has an idea, feel free to comment in the thread.

Original Post
The Pocophone F1 LTE bands are listed as
1(2100), 3(1800), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 20(800), 38(2600), 40(2300), 41(2500)
However, it is supposed to launched in Mexico and Colombia as well.
Mexico LTE Bands - 2 & 4.
Colombia LTE Bands - 4 & 7
Band 2 and 4 will be very helpful for us US peeps.
Not sure how Xiaomi locks the bands, do they use software? in which QPST should be able to unlock the bands.
or
They lock them via hardware, in which case Poco F1 will have a different model from Mexico and Colombia (and other countries which use Band 2 and Band 4?
QPST
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note/general/unlock-lte-bands-step-step-xiaomi-mi-t3084774
If anyone with a bootloader unlocked and rooted Poco F1 is willing to try QPST and see if the bands can be enabled please post here.
Thanks.
Also following for the answer. Bands 2 and 4 would make it quite viable for T-Mobile service in the US.
Phone has indeed been announced for Colombia (where LTE band 4 is used) and it's already going through Colombia's own certification authority. I would assume that we might be facing a similar situation as with Mi A1 in that the manual said it didn't support LTE band 4 (check the post I just linked to) but on first setup if you chose "Español (Mexico)" as the language, it would enable LTE band 4.
its sad that this phone with the flagship qualcomm sd845 should handle universal lte bands, but somehow in xiaomi phones specially the LTE bands are pretty limited, for example here we use band 28 (700 mhz) and there are no support for that

Hadn't heard about this, with the Mi A1. Very nice fudge, this. If the F1 can be wangled to use band 4 it will be a shot in the arm for north American interest and development

which means that the band might be disabled via software and we should be able to enable it via QPST.

I read on reddit somewhere that Xiaomi has a history of not reporting ALL the bands that their phone can support due to rights issues or something like that. Not sure if this is true.

Change The región to Colombia or México. And try again.
Just like mi A1.
It'd be great if someone could try band 12. The lack of that band is a deal-breaker for T-Mobile in the US on my Mi A1.
Nobody has been able to enable band 12 on phones that don't officially ship with it. This has been the case on the OnePlus One, Mi A1, Mi A2, and more. You can "enable" it in QPST, but it doesn't work.
So, this phone is a no-go for AT&T LTE in the US? Might have to return it if it only supports band 5... shame, I really like the idea of it! Maybe there's a way to enable more bands, but from the other poster, it doesn't really look like it.
whats odd is they disable face ir for other regions

LTE Advanced in Europe??

I have been testing and also read on official telegram group that carrier aggregation (4G+ or LTE-A) is not enabled in Europe.
Will there be any fix for it on future updates? Phone is listed as CAT16 but its working as a CAT4.
Any idea? Was Poco community manager on forum? Would be nice to know if Pocophone will be CAT16 in Europe or just CAT4.

yep, it's quite slow and I hope they'll fix it with an update cause compared to my Mi A1 I'm not getting full-speed LTE experience, only slow 4G mode. band 3 actually, no band20:

With *#*#4636#*#* you can see connected cells, or some apps for cell monitoring, it doesn't use never more than one band (EARFCN is the frequency of band used). Could maybe be a CAT5, that it's like CAT4 but supporting MIMO 4x4, but the most standard is CAT4. CAT6+ are all LTE-A with carrier aggregation, what Poco doesn't support in Europe bands. (some info in http://main.rfassurance.com/?q=LTEUeCategory )
Also I work on mobile network engineering, so I have some info from network, but it can be easyly checked from phone, no network aggregation = no 4g+ or LTE-A
my problem was solved by a call with three austria service line.
in fact they didn't get band 20 frequency by auction, only 1800 and 900 for volte calls only.
https://www.rtr.at/de/tk/FRQshare
so, I'd have to change my provider (telekom or t-mobile or a sub) to get band 20.

It's not related to the lack of carrier aggregation for Pocophone in Europe. My provider uses bands, 3, 7 and 20, in a cell with the three bands and that allows carrier aggregation between all them in any order, doesn't work at all while works with another phones.
Btw, installed new MIUI10 open beta, and problem is still there.
@ PocoCommunityManager are you there? Any info?

There is not 4G+ for Poco in Europe like on most xiaomi phone, stop to ask.
I don't think asking is a problem, Pocophone lists the phone as 4g+ in Europe (example: https://www.poco.net/es/specs/ or https://www.mi.com/es/pocophone-f1/specs/ ), so we ask for it.
SD845 allows it, probably it's a fw thing, not hw.

I mean, there is 4g+ but only in special conditions, very rare: it's as if it were not there.
Any chance someone from Poco team could answer this? Other phones using perfectly 4g+ and Pocophone fake CAT16 doesn't at all?
My internet is slower on pocophone than in my last phone, Xiaomi mi a2. And both have band 20, then i thing that is a rom problem.
I think more band combinations are available with MiUi 10 because after the update it's showing me 4G+ on a network.
I'm also having the same problem in Europe. It just wouldn't connect to 4G+, not like on other phones. My operator supports 3+20 and 3+7+20 band carrier aggregation. LTE Discovery app shows that the phone is always connected to band 3 only.
Up !
I wrote about this problem in the main pocophone forum and to be honest there is no real official reply. Some people wrote that CA is disabled due to pocophone not buying proper licences from Qualcomm.
It's difficult to say how accurate this explanation is. One thing is definite, they advertise pocophone as LTE cat.16 capable and at the same time they disable this feature completely and limit capabilities to LTE cat.4 (not even cat.6 ....). This is not what you call honest marketing. More like lying about you product capabilities. I think CA happens but only in India or in some extremely rare cases in some other countries, especially if certain phone companies offer CA on frequencies similar to indian frequencies.
No developer can activate this option? With a custom ROM or something? The sd845 supports this though!
Any update?
they are not interested as usual. flagships in Xiaomi's term: "yeah it's fast but that's all. buy it then don't ask CAUSE IT'S FAST OKAY?"
Why is this thread inactive? I live in Greece where carriers use 3 7 and 20 for 4g although poco is always connected on 3 as stated. Has anyone tried to enable 3CA using QPST?
I usually get connected to band 3 or 20.
I'm in Spain. To make sure I'm using band 20 I switch from 4g to 3g and back to 4g Enmidiately. Screenshots attached.
